yeah that's the most likely story.
i guess I'll just go into hibernation, as there's no reasonable explanation why the devs would have lied to us. well as a consequence, they are telling the truth.

just one question: if the devs would be really just trying to deceive us, posting "soon"-messages now and then, followed by a sip froman ice cold cup of pina colada.
why? what could be their intention? for sure, that's not a way to get rich. or is it? can't think of anything at least.
any ideas?

Yes, I quite like Iron Maiden (have about 5 drumsticks from Nicko, a Steve Harris wristband and a Dave Murray Wristband. Used to have 3 Final Frontier Dave guitar picks but some cunt stole my (iron maiden) wallet which had them in it (they'd literally never left my side since I caught them)..

All of us except Beardy. He has no beard. Have seen Iron Maiden 29 (I think..) times. Front row approx 15 of them thats amazing! but I'm kind of stuck here: when Beardy someday grows a beard, will you still call him Beardy? |

actually, whether they tell us anything now or not, doesn't make a difference at this point.
Millions of octocoins are in the hands of all the members within this thread.
Even if the develolpers would tell us the project has died, there's no volume at exchanges and no one to buy from us either. Already at this point it's impossible to sell more than a few 1000 octo, let alone a few million...
What I'm trying to say is: Our investment is gone, no matter if we get a screenshot now, or the full octo empire in a few weeks, there's little we can do from now on. Just relax, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show... (well, if the curtain ever opens)

millions of lines of code? million... plural? so at least 2 MILLION lines of code? are you being facetious? is this supposed to fly over most people's heads by design? you know that the Unreal Engine 3 *plus the editor* are about 2 million lines of code combined right? so are we to assume that you're launching something more impressive than the platform that almost all AAA videogames have been built on in the last decade? and then there's the logistics, where you have a team of 6, and in 6 months you've written 2+ million lines of code, that's 1826 lines of code, per person, everyday for the last 6 months. i hate playing the bad guy here, but you're pissing away possibly the best group i've ever seen in crypto, that's not even a shame, it's just bad business. Lines of code add up pretty quickly - I doubt every single line of code is hand written by the devs. You have frameworks for multiple languages, open source projects, etc. I don't know much about the Unreal 3 engine but talk about apples and oranges (game engines are quite light). Google Chrome is 6 million lines of code alone. The MySQL database engine is 13+ million lines of code. Healthcare.gov is around 500 million lines of code. My company's product is millions of lines of code. I understand you unloaded all of your coins and you are fed up with the delays but that doesn't give you the right to come in here acting like a clueless asshole. The fact that the dev still posts at all 6 months after launch makes them more committed than 99% of other coins devs. Nobody blames you for getting impatient (completely understandable) but this is just getting ridiculous, man. Every good relationship needs some beef now and then, but can you guys please drop the morale when I have some huge buy orders placed? |

how can you expect us to support you with deepest conviction when you treat us like that?
I mean people have baked octo-cakes, made tentacle cups, drew pictures and a lot more.
everything based on vague and sparing information.
It would be just fair to give us something to hold on to. a screenshot, whatever.
Anyway, i'm glad my bittrex withdrawal didn't smash octo...

so the issue was caught when users received a second payout which doubled the amount withdrawn if i am understanding this correctly. feel free to explain if i messed this up. i never mind being corrected  so, in theory, if the user hadn't been honest, and say withdrew 4000 octo but received 8000, could he have taken advantage of this? if he had re deposited all 8000 and withdrew 8000 again, he could potentially have potentially withdrew 16,000. right? if so, kudos for being honest. also, at some point, anyone attempting to steal in that way would risk losing all the octo he was stealing had someone realized it, reported it and when he deposited it again and Bittrex then locked it down. so even if they made some gains they could have been caught and lost it all, or if they were smart the wouldn't re deposit the whole amount. just spinning my wheels in my brain here. interesting. is this theory or understanding correct or am i way off? i'm afraid there would be ways for wallet developers to exploit that issue EDIT: i hope i didn't break bittrex  |

well bittrex sent me a tip in btc as thanks for for sending it back... and it wasnt 8000, is was about 74000 i received twice |

i know it, because i'm the one who broke it. unfortunately...
i wanted to withdraw some octos this morning, received the amount twice and then the market froze.
richie contacted me and i sent back one of the transactions.
i'm in contact with him and i'll keep you guys up 2 date.
the reason seems to be that the octo wallet overwrote an entry which bittrex uses to keep track of already sent transactions..
however, the bittrex guys are working on it

not trying to scare anyone, but it seems there is a "feature" within the octo wallet, that caused bittrex to pay out twice. then the whole market shut down. bittrex guys are trying to fix it though...

On the page they say 8 days 888, 88 days 188 and 88 days 88,
this would be 8+88+88 days from the start = 184.
That points to the 8 September 2014 as the reward reduction day!?
Where is my mistake?
