21  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think is the most surprising thing in the History of Bitcoin? on: March 11, 2019, 03:44:50 PM
That bitcoin was created by only one person. It was mind boggling to me how one person invented something so genius. But yea, I then realized like a week after that there's definitely a chance that it was a group rather than one singular person. But regardless even if it was created by a group, it's still surprising that a group created something that most people didn't even think the world needed.

As for bitcoin being priced a few cents in the past? It also definitely surprised me, especially the "bitcoin pizza day" event; but then immediately realized "well duh, it started as a sort of collectible that's only being used by a few people, of course it used to be worth a few cents". Both of these are equally sort of surprising in my opinion.

Just to add just for the sake of it because I recently rewatched the Voorhees-Schiff debate, some things that surprised me concerning bitcoin but not necessarily about it's history:

  • That how I didn't realize and see the flaws of the current fiat system until I've learned about bitcoin. I'm definitely not an expert on this subject(money/economics), but I'm definitely more educated now than before.
  • When I realized that bitcoin can potentially dethrone gold in the store-of-value category for the masses. One main reason of which is that gold can easily be faked through filling gold bar shells with tungsten(tungsten's weight is fairly close to the weight of gold). This itself is a huge hassle.
Relevant article for this point: https://www.businessinsider.com/tungsten-filled-gold-bars-found-in-new-york-2012-9

well, just to add...
i partly agree and disagree about this..

it may be that bitcoin came from the idea of a single person then supported by his peers or manages to get some influence..
the idea of putting bitcoin to work is that you need others to accept it even though it is not recognized by an authority.. be it just merely a collectible or sort of like group jargon thing..

my guess though is that.. they have probably worked on an ancient free port space unknown called the "GARAGE"

22  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there some new methods for earning bitcoins? on: March 11, 2019, 03:35:56 PM
Well there is,

aside from mining, you can earn bitcoin by earning other coins or token from ICO or STO then exchange it with bitcoin.

but bitcoin is very lazy nowadays, are you sure you wanna exchange with bitcoin??..

bro.. you should read more from other forums... it is not always about bitcoins but there are also altcoins as well..

wish it helped.

Challenge accepted bro!

I hope abot pa ako to get merits
24  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Tanggap ba o hindi? on: March 11, 2019, 03:23:58 PM
Kung quality namn ang kontent, bakit hindi? i think he also want to help our fellow kababayan to the fact that maliit pa lang din ang community natin para makasabay sa malalaking community. although at some point, others maybe using it para sa mga kagustuhan nilang personal,

it wouldnt hurt that much if he gives merit to others does it?

i've seen this scenario almost the same in real life. but even if i dont get that much, i wouldnt complain why others are getting it, as long that i am satisfied with my work and integrity as a person..

(just sharing some slice of life.. no offence)
25  Local / Pamilihan / What if... magkaroon ng transition ang stock exchange going to crypto exchange on: March 11, 2019, 03:16:03 PM
You have probably stumbled upon "STO" or Security Token Offering which is nakatali sa totoong mga ari-arian (assets) like stocks, commodities bonds, or even possible na kapalit din ng FIAT money... (which is more secured kaysa sa ICO although dito mas maraming verifications..)

What if.. (just what if..) somehow all exchanges be .. let's just say "combined" in a manner para magfit siya sa modern world..

I've read about some ICOs which shows na pwedeng maapply ang crypto exchange sa mga regular na pangangailangan ng isang tao gaya ng pagkain, damit, shelter (like hotel accommodations or real estate).

Napansin nyo rin ba? is there any scientific paper related to this showing more technical data

What are your thoughts about this?
26  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Makaka ahon pa ba ang market? on: March 11, 2019, 03:02:10 PM

But it is either konti lang then balik ulit sa pagdecline which is the worst case scenario,
the other is looking at it in a very optimistic way na aahon tayo sa kahirapan just like bitcoin
a lot of "googling" or research para sa mga baguhan na kagaya ko will help but with the help of acquainted people lalo na at kababayan pa will be a great help. i wanna thank this post for sharing a part na nasasaloobin ng mga beginner, same kami, but asa pa ako ng marami sa airdrop although barya barya lang

as for trading, kailangan mo ng basics sa exchange, mag aral ka muna, try VIRTUAL TRADING for practise kahit ibang commodity at hindi muna crypto kung gusto mo talaga matuto mag trade. try it for one month if continuous na ung profit mo thru virtual trade or more time..

hindi namn madalian ang lahat
28  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pinoy Miners, Kumusta na? on: March 11, 2019, 02:40:45 PM
how about liquid cooling system, im just wondering, i havent seen suggestions about this,

or just simply improvise with your setup lalo na ngaun magsusummer na.

(prone pa naman sa sunog ung mga mining rigs lalo na kung chinese made, no offence sa mga tsinito at tsinita)
29  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tumataas ang bitcoin bullish sentiment na ba? on: March 11, 2019, 05:42:33 AM
pero i expect na ang bitcoin will moon out by the last quarter of 2019. just saying. sana nga mga pips. panahon na

medyo mabagal pa ang galaw hopefully these coming weeks will be a good news sa mga crypto holders na katulad ko Smiley

This slow upward price movement is better compare to one shot to the moon that happen last 2017. In this way we can reach an organic price growth and preven't another 2018 bear market disaster.

well yeah, you are right. it can provide more "observational" data rather than being too volatile which is highly risky.
by that more preparations can be done and traders wont be surprised (or even just have a heart attack)
32  Local / Pamilihan / Re: UNIONBANK LAUNCHES THE FIRST CRYPTO ATM in the PHILIPPINES!! on: March 09, 2019, 05:22:50 AM

madaming regulations at maghipit na rin also for security of the economy and masses. kaya lang mas liliit ung kita.

All in all, this is a good thing, Go Unionbank!

34  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May tax ba ang Cryptocurrency? on: March 09, 2019, 04:16:31 AM
napakagandang tanong kabayan.

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now or never! on: March 09, 2019, 04:00:24 AM
Well yes indeed, although there are still coins/tokens taking their baby steps and it is a bit hard to find reliable ICO nowadays, others will have to bounce back or just "normalize"

Now is the time for the OPTIMISTS to respond in the bearish market. goodluck to us.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Too late too buy BNB?? on: March 09, 2019, 03:48:42 AM
Welp, given that Binance is a great contender, it will probably will continue booming until June or August, (this is just my own blurry premonition) or much better before the end of 2019

I hope that we all can profit well, but there's this "competition" thing, but still good luck!
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Cryptocurrency Story. What Is yours? on: March 09, 2019, 03:39:05 AM
Welp, i am just starting out, and i've read lots of disappointing stories here. but still my optimism is unwavered.
i plan on trading but education comes first, i have a background on forex but i think i need more to gain because cryptocurrency is a different game.

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do "premium" or "pro" antivirus help on transactions on smartphones? on: March 01, 2019, 05:54:36 PM
To name a few,

avast, bitdefender, mcaffe, ... etc..

As the subject says. do they really provide enough security with transactions especially in crypto?

 no.

If you use a hardware wallet for example, you don't necessarily need to use a paid antivirus software. The hardware wallet is quite secure by itself, and a free malware bytes and a windows defender software or something like that is enough.

If you use a desktop wallet, such as Electrum, the most important is to avoid phishing sites. Avoid installing program from Unknown sources... You need healthy habits online to stay safe.

Look for the official website to install the wallet, never download from third party websites

I think those paid antivirus consume too much computer resources and I don't like them.

Hey Sir,
Can you suggest other wallet other than electrum..?
Wait.. how about on smartphones?

//thumbs-up to masters
