I get periodic disconnects from mining, at which point I have to manually restart. It would be good if the software could be updated to detect this and automatically restart. Also, support for multiple pools (i.e. failover) would be helpful. Last but not least, optimizations to performance are almost certainly still available. Are there plans to open source this eventually? Or do we just need to wait for ccMiner and sgminer to create their own Cryptonight code?
If i'm not wrong, you're using port 80 as default as pool recommended ? Forget that port, change to another port like 5555 (moneropool) or 6666 (crypto-pool.fr), it will work well with more hashrate accuracy than port 80 |

any thoughts on how to get 280x's stable with this gpu miner yet?
and why gigabyte 280x's seem to suffer very low hash rate, eg struggle to break 300h/s when compared to an asus 280x that does 360 with ease.

I think you should try to install newest driver from ATI download page for the last time. 13.12 it isn't stable with 290 and 290x |

have you ever try stock bios ? I did not touch bios, all default. Okay, let's configure like mine : Win7 64bit, VM 24GB, Catalyst 13.12, AfterBurner 3.0.1. Set unlock mem and core in AfterBurner, set Fan speed constant at 90% and mining at moneropool.org with port 5555. I think your problem is in ATI Driver, you should uninstall all ATI driver and its relative ( delete is good choice ) and reinstall if after restart. DirectX will not help anything |

Hi
All is there a way to turn the fan intensity up the miner is Great but my cards keep over heating and the computer crashes..2* 280x's
also will there be a linux version soon i hate using windows

Very easy to do that although this miner cannot change fan speed. You just download MSI Afterburner and chagne fan speed manually by your choice. My 280x always stay around 55 - 62 celsius degree temp ( environment temp around 32 celsius degree - Vietnam) |

i'v been folding years ago, even after i heard of bitcoin. told to my friend years ago that bitcoin looks to me like a stilly waste of electricity and F@H (and alike) is much more important. of course i feel stupid about that now because i could maybe fix my (and everyone i know) financial problems  too bad can't fold with ATI on Linux and i don't have money for windows now I'm an Microsoft's engineer, and if you really excited with this project, i will give you 1 genuine windows7 license key for free |

I'm folding at cryptobullionpools.com about 14h ago, nothing in my stats but i think it will show after 24h. My each rig component : 1 Celeron, 4gb ram, 4x 280x HIS, my PPD around 99k ~ 105k each 280x. That seem good by now. My experience about low PPD if you use 280x like me : 0. AMD Driver 13.12 is really good. Don't need to update 14.xx cuz it maybe bug your rigs. 1. Config follow this thread, it's great : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=268556.0 2. Open MSI Afterburn, turn off auto-fan, set fan to 85% ( cuz it's really hot and auto fan really suck ). 3. Use GPU-Z for monitoring your card information ( like gpucore, gpumem, fan speed, temp...) 4. Open FAH, wait for it starting, adjust the folding power bar to full, after that, PAUSE YOUR CPU RITE AWAY and LEAVE GPU DO IT JOB. 5. Wait at least 15min for FAH update correct your PPD.
