Absolutely, RSK is a Bitcoin sidechain, pegged 1:1 to it. That's why you can't mine RBTC on its own, the difficulty would be easier than BTC and would compromise the integrity of what we are trying to acchieve (a smart bitcoin network) Not to compete, but  |

@disconnectme Its not a problem that space is congested with new projects / patrons. Its expanding therefore matures to stimulate more influx which you see is happening... However RSK has been around and known since 2017 which means it is already distinguished. What I personally repel is how their private sale was conducted and how it starts looking more and more like Algorand mess. Offhand, shady, excessively tortuous, hugely privatized, somewhat bipolar ruse meant to fleece people under the guise of a legit product.
While we agree with the first part, I would like to know more about why you feel the private sale was a mess? RSK itself didn't have a tokensale, it's a side chain. RIF however did. We're open to showing people that what we're working on is real, IOVlabs as a whole has a mission of developing a infrastructure that we hope, with enough time, just like bitcoin, it's not of our control, that it expands out so that the community takes control of what direction it goes. |

I can see RSk team is working to push their project out but to me it seems they are late to the party, the space is already crowded now that it is becoming increasingly difficult to separate good projects from the bad ones. I just hope their DEFI project would attract users to their platform

any staking/mining?
On RSK you can merge mine for no extra computing cost both BTC / RBTC, that way you help keep the RSK network safe and still get your regular mining rewards from mining BTC, there are a number of pools already merge mining in RSK (currently 37% of the BTC network's mining power), you can see live this info here: https://stats.rsk.co/As to how to merge mine, you can read about it here: https://blog.rsk.co/noticia/rsk-bitcoin-merge-mining-is-here-to-stay/On RIF, there's no direct benefit to staking, unless you're a service provider. As a service provider you'll probably need to stake RIF in order to offer services and the staking acts as a insurance mechanism of sorts. can you also give us updates on what's going on with your roadmap for this first quarter of the year? are they still going to be accomplished as planned?  i do agree though that aside from exchange listings, there's a lot more to be done in the background. the project will not grow if the team will just focus in listings. right now, i think, kucoin/bitfinex and others are more than enough. binance or bittrex can wait. but actual development should be their priority to have meaningful value in the market. 95% of your actual volume is on a single exchange that looks like wash trading
i am very doubtful about RSK / RIF looks like a pure money grab.almost 2 years and nothing happen but a long downtrend for the price
