21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 04, 2016, 06:36:38 AM
there are rumors trading start june 7. what is about that?

I think that is a private trading thing. There is a thread on here about it under alt coin trading. Waves does not go live until 14 June on exchanges

Until june 14 we cannot start trading properly As far as I can understand it. I hope we can meet or beat yobit prices. Would be great. Suppose anything is possible here. All can do is wait. Ride the waves, and sea.

I see a great future for waves! Cmon!

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - TOKEN - TRADING - FROM JUNE 7th on: June 01, 2016, 08:25:55 PM
How is it possible to send coins to excahne if there is no wallet yet and it's not possible to withdraw from ico wallet?

They're selling IOUs, backed (or so they claim) by the amount of WAVES they bought in the ICO. Since the "WAVES" are only Yobit's IOUs, they can neither be deposited nor withdrawn. It's an artificial Yobit-only market.

Exactly, like what is happened with the IOU lisk. Do you remember ?

I'll never forget. Undecided

I'm an investor in waves, and have just looked at the price on yobit. 0.021. Wow!
I understand these are I o u on behalf of yobit. However we have no access to wallets or anything so how does this all work if we are unable to transfer our waves/sell them. Sorry if this has been asked before or is obvious. How would someone sell even if they could? With no access to the wallet etc?

Thanks guys. Just try to understand what's going on with the price etc and waves trading, and how it will affect the ico / future trading etc.

Yobit aka Yoscam has opened the IOU waves market and started to trade and manipulate the orders. You can't send your waves token to them because it doesn't still exist a client/wallet, you can only buy those waves (I don't suggest you to do it) and trade with them internally.

I was bad move from their side now a lot of people can see what's going on  Grin

They did the same thing with lisk earlier, noone cared. Only retards use yobit either way, they're feeding off of the stupidity of the lowest common denominator of the crypto community.
I get it. Thought I was rich for a while. We still all could be? Could 0.02btc be a realistic price per wave?
Personally, I don't think so. That'd be a market cap of about 1.3 billion - greater than Ethereum. It just doesn't seem that realistic this early in the roadmap for this project. Maybe once it's proven its usefulness to the rest of the crypto community, but not now.

don't write "personally i don't think so", anyone with a head on their shoulders know the price is absolutely ridiculous and could never happen. If waves put forth good results and secure huge partnerships and those partnerships prove to be successful then in 1-2 years it's probably up there with btc/eth.

There is 0% chance that this coin trades out at anything more than a $100m market cap at launch. $100m is basically impossible too.

Wtf do you know? you probably didn't buy any, waiting for some dump that will never happen. This coin exceeded all expectations at ico, and will do the same at exchanges.

This ended up being a perfect storm. The lisk ICO helped the Waves ICO a lot. Is a 100million cap out of the realm of possibilities? No. At launch of trading? Maybe a few at the beginning will sell their waves for more than $1 but it will eventually dip below 50 million cap at the end of day 1.

Wtf do you know? obviously you don't understand this coin and what's it's attempting to do. This not some bullshit shitcoin trying to copy something else like Lisk, it's a serious attempt to bring in money from outside of crypto. This is the ultimate hype, and if they can pull it off wtf knows what the market cap could be.

Alright newbie  Wink

I don't think anything is impossible in waves. We all know Bitcoin. And what people said about it in the past. Wish I bought in/mined it in the beginning!

Yobit is trading waves at 0.02739950  at present. Are people actually buying it at this price. Volume is low vs ico. Lots of buys and not many sells. And I know what people are saying about yobit on here. How much attention should we be paying to yobit market price?

I can see your point. And somewhat agree. But it is also worth whatever people will pay for it. Which could be very little, or a great deal. I think waves will be awesome with its focus on being user friendly, opening up more of the none tech market. Have you ever tried to explain Bitcoin to a non tech person? Thanks guys!

What marketing etc is being done/planned? What can we expect on nearly 30k btc funding?

Congrats to all who hav invested. I'm in.

Get your 2fa setup. Worked fine for me. Don't lose your 16 digi key. If you do, you will lose all of your waves n not even sasha can get them back for you! You need as a back up in case you lose your phone or whatever device u used to setup auth app.

What prices are people predicting?
Has any pre launch exchanges been set up that I've seen on here. Is it yobit or summit?
Not that I will be selling any of my waves in the near future.

Good luck dudes!
Surfs up!

Which coin had the highest ico in history?

Is it going to be waves? Could it be? Can't wait to see the final figures...

Hi guys

While we are in the last few hours of the ico the total btc invested at present is 28131.21358467 amazing!

What happens if you send your btc to invest and you don't get enough confirmations(2) before the deadline? Does your btc get sent back to your own wallet? Or is it lost?

So we could trade our holdings privately before the 14th June? Before it goes live on exchanges?
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: May 30, 2016, 04:29:53 PM
Hi

Well I've invested some of my Btc in this.  I've not made many posts on here but I've been involved in btc for years. But sadly missed the boom years. Hoping to hit it big with this one. Only time will tell.  And with the halving approaching I think this could be very interesting.

To answer to question again. The ico price depends on how much btc is invested. You need to get a waves account. Pls DYOR- do your own research people.

hi

just got my antminer s1 and corsair 500m up and running.  the 500m comes with the 2 pci e plugs on 1 cable, i saw this mentioned before that its not a good idea to run the 2 off 1 cable so im just running 1 blade untill i find a solution. which im hoping someone can help me with pls?

it has another 2 port that are 6 pin on the psu, are these pci-e ports? what can i do to supply the other blade? what happens if i run 2 blades from the 1 cable? im not to savvy when it comes to psus etc...

thanks for any help guys

Just to update, I tried the 2 pci e connections on the strand, and noticed the wires started to heat up quite quickly. So I didn't leave them in for too long. So what I've done is put 1  6 pin pci e in 1 blade, and for the other I've took the 12v from the 8/4 CPU plug using a 6 pin female pci e connector and then spliced the ends to fit the 2nd blade terminals at ground and +.  I was getting 11.97vdc at both blades. Does this sound ok? I'm using a corsair 500 m

It's up and running ok. Looki gs good getting 180 gh+. Does anyone know what reject rates we should be getting at the pools?

Just a note if anyone tries this. Be careful not to get reverse polarity as the wire colors reverse when u connect them due to the pin outs.

hi

hav just plugged in my new antminer s1, i can ping it internally on my lan, and i can ping websites on the internet from the antminer interface diagnostics.  but it will not start to mine. my pool is setup at btcguild, and ive tried other pools, all not working. I also just plugged in the 1 blade just to see if i can get it up and running.

On the miner itself 1 green led is solid near the ethernet plug, 1 red led solid, and another green led blinking about once a second.

can anyone please help me out pls? ive looked thru some troubleshooting but can't find anything to help

thanks Smiley
