21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP - The Biggest Scam in Digital Currency History on: January 01, 2021, 07:54:02 PM
xrp situation is very bad but we need to wait because xrp is the 3rd highest currency in crypto market we don't be panic in the situation and don't be blame too fast I personally believe xrp will recover herself very fast in the alts bull run in the next year

These are the classic XRP shills/botnet that have been spamming these forums and all outlets for years by the way. The single most intricate and aggressive marketing agencies & individuals of any crypto.

Its obvious you have an agenda. Did you lose big on XRP at some point? Can you explain to me HOW XRP is a scam coin? All I hear is scam this scam that but nobody presents any evidence. You do know that the UK and all other countries accept that XRP is a currency and not a security yes?
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the benefits of buying XRP at present? on: December 31, 2020, 05:11:06 PM
Too risky, XRP may find it very hard to recover after SEC, buying now can bring further losses later if people decide to still dump, it's better to look for other altcoin to invest money on or try investing very little amount of money on XRP

What happens when XRP wins the case, is rubber stamped as a currency and they start to partner with powerful financial institutions. This is the plan and it will happen I believe.

Bitcoin in 2019 regarding a cryptocurrency investigation  Look at the headlines:

"Bitcoin prices have been dropping steadily after news broke that the Securities and Exchange Commission had launched an investigation of cryptocurrency-related tech companies and advisors this week"

You'll have a bag of history on you and that's about it.

Even if the SEC's decision regarding the matter favors Ripple, people would have already strayed away from the cryptocurrency given the general negative sentiment towards it. Also, Ripple is a centralized coin, and its creators are pretty much not addressing some concerns and questions regarding the coins centralization.

You can still try to toss XRP around if things are really that desperate for you, or you believe that it can still bounce back as normal. But most of us here think otherwise, with or without SEC's say on the matter.

Apple, Microsoft, General Electric, AIG and Amazon all investigated by the SEC - do people have a negative sentiment towards those companies? No in fact they have excelled.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why XRP Crash? on: December 31, 2020, 01:24:26 AM
I think the XRP price has been dumped due to de-listing of some XRP news and some exchange XRP.
If anyone knows more details, please let me know
XRP price is experiencing a huge dumped because the securities regulators accused Ripple of issuing worth billions of dollars in unregistered tokens, that is why most exchanges have delisted and fully suspend trading in XRP. It is also why many people who holds XRP are currently having problems facing their huge losses.

If people can HOLD their XRP then they should lose nothing because the price should recover eventually. This lawsuit could come to a conclusion quicker than people think. Look at the huge companies that have been sued by the SEC - Amazon, Tesla, Microsoft, AIG, Apple, General Electric and they all succeeded.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why XRP Crash? on: December 31, 2020, 01:17:12 AM
When the Whole market Especially BTC Is Stable While XRP Feels Bloodish. Any Reason?

Retail investors were involved in the Scam and were deceived. XRP is an unregistered security that Ripple trades it illegally. It turns out that the organizers deliberately received more than $1.3 billion in funding from investors, knowing that in fact they are scammers. Embarrassed

Are you a employee of the SEC  Grin. Firstly XRP is seen as a crytocurrency in every other country it trades in , including the UK. It is only in the US where they are having this issue, where it is being claimed XRP is a security. They have not broken any laws in those countries and continue to operate. Ripple/XRP could have settled this lawsuit out of court , but chose NOT to. They feel they will win and when they do the price will moon.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2 ledgers but different seeds? on: December 06, 2020, 07:28:16 PM
Having the same seed on two different Ledger wallet is the same as having it in a single device and copy written on a piece of paper, security-wise. The latter might be even more secure.
However to add an extra layer of security to your funds and since you have two HW, you can create a 2 of 2 multisig wallet. This way no one can move your coins without access to both devices.
You can read more about how to create a Ldger multisig wallet here:
https://www.ledger.com/implementing-a-trustless-security-solution-with-hardware-wallets-and-multisignature

I like the sound of this idea. Seems as though it would make things even more secure.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 2 ledgers but different seeds? on: December 05, 2020, 07:34:55 PM
Just wondering how you guys work this. If you have 2 different ledgers but want to store the same crypto on each one, do you use different seed keys for each one or use the same seeds for both ledgers. Security wise, I would have thought having the same keys for each ledger would be more secure ?

Next time, You should wait after the confirmation before you enter. Breaking the upper line of the trend with a single candle is not the confirmation because it will surely bounce again to that line for retest on the second candle after the breakout. When the second candle close above that upper trend line again then that means that the resistance turns into support which is the signal of change trend. You should always set stop loss because its not 100% guaranteed that TA is correct.

Thanks i will do this next time.

Congrats, you are in profit, the current price is 0.62
You are right, the price of ALGO continues to creep up.

Someone has already said, "hold" your ALGO coin, nothing will go wrong when you buy it the price changes keep happening.
That's how crypto works, in a matter of minutes/seconds it can change, if you panic and don't calm down, you can lose.

OP, are you still holding the coin, now the price has increased to the level of $ 0.63, that is, you have won in trading, if you have sold first, it is a shame you failed.
For the future, there is no need to panic, relax, and monitor graph movements at any time.

No I held onto it and sold at 0.48 so made a profit, but yes you are right need to improve my analysis.

It looks like Algo climbing now. I bought at 0.59 so not so bad after all.
If you bought ALGO at 0.59 GBP and you are now in loss, since ALGO/GBP is around 0.47 now.
By the way, did youbuy the ALGO when it broke the triangle or before it broke?
Next time, you can use more multiple timeframe to confirm your entry or before making entry. Using 5 minutes can be difficult for day trading.

I bought in around 0.45GBP when it broke the triangle. Luckily it climbed in price so no losses

Hi

I entered a trade today and bought ALGO. The price broke from a triangle pattern but within 5 mins of entering the trade the price began to fall. Did I enter the trade too early after breakout ? I have added the chart below:

34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: issues with trading view chart on: August 23, 2020, 11:51:25 AM
Hi

Hope someone can help with this. I am trying to view XRP/GBP chart in 6 month, 1 year or 5year format using trading view but the chart will only show 22 July to present. It doesn't do this will all the charts but a few. Any suggestions?

Its because you are looking at charts that tradingview have from exchange that probably was not listing XRP/GPB trading pair before. GPB/USD fluctuations are negligible compared to XRP/USD fluctuations so you can do you analysis on XRP/USD as well and it is more likely to find longer chart with USD.

Test many charts to find the longest one
That explains it, I thought this may be the case but wasn't sure. Thanks

37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is the price rise on Coinbase pro different to Binance on: August 18, 2020, 05:13:02 PM
There is nothing wrong with the question you have asked, this is a forum and everyone is free to ask questions provided you’re asking at the right section. As for the prices being different on different cryptocurrency exchanges has to do with a few things and mostly that’s because of infrastructure issues, and the trade volume of the exchanges.

When I was a newbie I was also asking this same question, because the prices I would see on Coinbase was different from other ones I was using. Bitcoin (or the cryptocurrency market as a whole) doesn’t have an improved infrastructure, when we have an improved infrastructure, the work of this infrastructure would be to help in aligning price of cryptocurrencies among exchanges.

great, now I am understanding better. 😊
38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is the price rise on Coinbase pro different to Binance on: August 17, 2020, 08:44:16 PM
If you do know on how crypto exchanges work then you would definitely able to answer about the question that you had been asking. To think that these platforms are used on buying and selling of coins from
fiat money to crypto or crypto to crypto. Each platform do set rates of the currencies and their rates will vary on how sellers and buyers do act.

On the question on why they do have different rate or price rise percentage? It all goes into its own volume of trades. Each exchangers arent correlated. The bigger the exchange
the more price movement you would surely get.

The important thing to look wont really be on percentage rise or drop but rather go directly on the actual price and you might see some arbitrage opportunities.

Thanks for your info 👍
39  Economy / Trading Discussion / Why is the price rise on Coinbase pro different to Binance on: August 17, 2020, 07:58:01 PM
Hi  apologies in advance as this may be a silly question but its confusing me.

I haven't used Binance until recently but I have noticed that the prices are different on each exchange for example :

On Coinbase the current 24hr price rise for XRPGBP is 7.11%, on Tradingview XRPGBP(Coinbase) is showing 5.06%

Why is the same coin in the same currency showing 2 different price rise ?
40  Economy / Trading Discussion / Question re buying and fees on: August 01, 2020, 03:57:37 PM
Today I transferred £500 to my coinbase account and bought £500 of xrp . Immediately After I had bought it it showed the value as £487. Surely the fees for buying are not £13?
