Hello, The Saffroncoin Team is back together and we have some exciting news. Last year, we spoke of building an exchange to benefit SFR traders. We had thought of the name cryptoxindia but we are now going with cryptexworld.com. We can't disclose much at this point but i can assure you that this is going to be one of its kind exchange. We are designing it by taking account the flaws in other exchanges. We are dead focused on security. The security we are implementing are best industry practices. We are integrating the latest bitcoin technological security advancements which most exchanges fail to imply. This is the only exchange that would give you complete control over your crypto, so you can sleep well knowing your funds are safe! Henceforth, we boast CryptexWorld to be the most secure altcoin exchange and wallet service in the world. You would know exactly why, once we reveal more. A special thanks to the community for believing in us. We have some huge things in the pipeline. Do keep following this thread for more updates. Regards, Roshan Sounds good (I guess), what is in it for the SFR holders ?

One good news is that SFR is listed under the "Verified Markets" tab on Bittrex. So I guess there is no danger of de-listing anymore ?!

I feel like I got trolled, honestly. Why keep giving specific release dates and not only fail to release anything but also keep quiet about it? Are the other devs, besides Roshan, even part of this coin anymore? Did UnoCoin take precedent over SFR development, Roshan? These are genuine questions, and I'm not trying to vilify you even if it seems that way. We need the old Rosh and SFR dev team back.
I'm right here with you crypto. I honestly i have no idea what to think, which is something probably common for a lot of people around this thread. I would be ecstatic if Rosh were to post an update explaining everything, but I don't think that's going to happen or at least any time soon. Given how things have progressed the past couple months, it appears that Rosh is only updating this thread occasionally/rarely or whenever he has time. So i wouldn't expect that to change any time soon, and if he starts posting more regularly again, i'd expect/hope things to stay that way. But the reason for his absence, or appeared absence, as of now is pure speculation. No one has any idea exactly what is up with Roshan or SaffronCoin. Some make assumptions, or educated guesses, on what might be and some very well might be true, but at least for me I'm still giving Rosh the benefit of the doubt, for better or for worse. The money i lost with SFR's price decline, i've already accepted it and moved on. Probably like many here, this coin had gone somewhat beyond the typical p/l as many of us truly care(d) about the future and success of SFR. Roshan for over 6 months was one of the best altcoin developers, taking into account skills, accountability, and communication. I know for months now he's been MIA and everything looks bad, and I could be completely wrong, but SFR has risen from the ashes before, and just for me, i'm not personally giving up on it quite yet. (BTW crypto all that was not directed at you specifically, just mainly voicing my opinions You know how i feel about all of this man, but i just don't think we're getting an update unfortunately). I am quite a positive person and always like to give people the benefit of the doubt, even when they have let us down, let us try that for a moment. The fact is, working on a coin like this is extremely time consuming, and when the price of the coin takes a dive, the miners start to drop off, and the community starts to shrink away, it would take a really devoted dev to stick around, since he essentially donates his time for free. He probably doesn't hold much SFR, and does this for free. It must be very challenging to put up with all the trolls, all the whinging, and all the entitled holders making demands, for any dev of any coin. I agree that this has moved far beyond money for me, and I actually just think it's a good coin, with good tech, a good wallet, and still offers a lot. If anything SFR just suffered from lack of PR, with the features it was pumping out last year, it should have got far more attention than it did. And so I have come back into this thread, because I think the first stage to recovery is accepting we have hit rock bottom, and from that perspective, things can only improve. If we show that we are still interested in this coin, can start mining on all 5 algorithms again, and bring this thread back to life, we will likely get the attention of Rosh (who has posted in recent weeks saying he hasn't abandoned the coin), who might start switching things up a gear when he sees the interest in the coin is still here. If we can mine on all 5 algorithms, just to support the coin, rather than in terms of profit, and support it as a community venture, I think we can take large steps in getting Rosh to come back to work on the coin again. I was mining as long as http://pool.saffroncoin.com/ was alive. Once that died, I was forced to stop my rig, as it was also getting warmer here. If there is an active scrypt pool again, I might start mining again. Still waiting for a 1.4.2/2.6.2 wallet for Linux or Mac

Bad news This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on May 15th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC.
Is it too much to ask for a 1.4.2/2.6.2 wallet for anything other than fucking windows. I would love to move my coins off the exchange before it gets delisted. I've been patiently waiting for months. Thanks

Thanks for the update Roshan ! Also, does anyone know of a working scrypt pool.

Rosh, buddy, you logged in today...give us some sort of reply man. You can't possibly be that busy to not leave a 30 second reply.
When the long time supporters of the coin come out and ask for an update. I guess we deserve one. Any type of update can't be worse than no updates. You can come out and say nothing has changed since the last update and I would appreciate your honesty. Or just tell us when the next update will be, so we don't have to check this post often or bother you asking for one. Thanks.

That was close! Wink Excellent timing. Two days remaining. After downloading the snapshot 3 days ago my wallet is still syncing. I hope I make it in time... KNIGHTS! I propose we allow CoinQuest to finish syncing, and if everything else checks out OK, permit him(/her) to apply for knighthood during this window. If 5 or more say 'nay', I'll withdraw the proposal. I am perfectly OK with that.

If you send coins with computer 1, computer 2 does not know a possible new generated change (back) address. After some time, you have 2 different wallets with a different coin amount and many different key pairs. It ends up in chaos. A wallet is a container for many private and public keys - like a key chain. Amount of coins is a summation of all addresses.
...
One workaround is to always use coin-control when sending and explicitly send the change back to an existing address.

Hey guys, There have been a few complications recently and we can say that we are now releasing SFRDirect on Feb 21, 2015. The previous months have not been that great for us but thanks for sticking along. There are a lot of stuff planned for SFR, we would be getting in more developers and expand our team in the coming month or so.
Regards
Roshan
Thanks for the update. Please carve out some time to get the Mac (and/or Linux) wallet out (for the latest version). It would love to move my coins from the exchange into to my wallet.

Thank you Sir !! It worked like a charm for me on Yosemite

Any updates on the Mac wallet ? I would like to move the coins I bought recently from the Exchange into my wallet.

This is where mvaessen and me stepped in. I knew he was good at designing images and I had experience with coding. We developed the CAIx wallet v1.1.1 completely voluntary and thought of it as our duty to the community.
And you guys did a fantastic job on the wallet. If I had not thanked you before, let me do it now. Thanks guys !

Even if the wallet takes 10GB ... so what, we are talking about 0.03 USD worth of disk space. http://www.jcmit.com/diskprice.htmRoshan didn't reply because he has better things to do (like working on the decentralized exchange for instance ). Fixing that message would take about 30 seconds and I seriously doubt if that would have an impact on the price. Try harder to find something that's really wrong.

Thank you for posting that, and saying what you said on Twitter

The premine is only a couple thousand bucks worth at todays prices anyway. BK has bought tons more since then, so it doesn't really matter. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the biggest holder by far at this point, as he's often announced his purchases publicly.
And also remember all the money he spent to keep the blockchain alive (DigiSheild issue) by renting rigs. So premine is definitely not a big issue like the other 2 gents before me said. But there is one thing that bothers me ... why are we still talking about transitioning from PoW to PoS. Why can't we just implement dynamic PoS on a new blockchain/coin and simply swap out ? BK apparently has done branding and trademark stuff. Otherwise a graph with his lawyer wouldn't have been necessary when I asked to use the spiral logo for nautijobs. There's apparently a lot invested into this coin and its brand. Oh sorry I wasn't implying any branding changes. It would still be the same coin, just a different approach to getting to Dynamic PoS (a much cleaner way of getting there)
