@EBK1000, I think your future credibility rests on whether you are actually in hospital, and many obviously think you're not being truthful, and are trying to cover your deceit with a sympathy story. Can you verify your story, take a photo of your current location with some evidence it is 'EBK1000'.
Why don't you write 'EBK1000' on a piece of paper, stick it to the machine that goes ping, then post a photo of it?
My current opinion is you aren't in hospital, but if you are, you could easily verify you are actually in a hospital bed with a photo.

He did get paid +100 bitcoins in the ICO, and his behavior has been highly suspicious. IMO EBK1000 had a high level of credibility, but lost most of it when he went missing. It's entirely up to him, but I think the hospital story is a cover, he was going to disappear after the swap went pear shaped with a dud wallet, and then realised his identity was known, and people would cause him some grief, so now he needs 'in hospital' time to think of a new exit strategy, or hopefully, how to get MOJO back on track. I think it is fair to require showing more evidence. Fairly speaking, this sudden disappear was not acceptable. He could ask his friends to post here earlier even he couldn't access internet himself. Re-appearing after someone threatened to hurt him could also be suspicious. Paying bounty can't fully earn back his credibility. It just shows how incompetence he may be, because compiling a Windows client obviously doesn't need 1 BTC. Well, the good thing is the current situation still looks better than a few days ago.. |

If you refer to the absolute value (in $USD), it will depend on whether BTC price will stay strong after its halving, or whether there will have any other good news for LTC after that. |

I don't know why the price all of a sudden crashed. I guess people loose patience and wants something to happen all the time. We have decided what to do and we are just working out some details and then there will be a full update on Sunday with and updated plan.
My guess is that people are losing patience and confidence in MOJO. If i'd be you i would just make a swap to the new blockchain instead of findin a fix to the problem. Also if i would have been you i would've release the fix for the pos issue in this whole time that's not a hard thing and could have been done on the actual chain I guess the price crashed at the time when the dev seemed to give up the fix and wanted to start a new chain. It was the swap that makes people losing confidence. People may think that the dev is incapable of doing the fix, and doing a swap for such a new coin is quite rare. You don't see any long standing good coin, such as LTC or Doge, needs to do swapping. Hard forks are fine, but better no swap. I think the best method is to, as you also said, release the fix for POS issue first, and then the dev can be given more time to fix other issues on the current chain. Still like to support this coin and hope that the right decision to be made. |

The time has come to finish mining btc. Can anyone tell me , which pool is the best to start with, what wallet etc. i.e. with btc, there is shit going on with spv and chinese pools, is it similar issue here? any ltc pools which i should avoid? Looks like im convert thanks for any info The Chinese dominate the mining scene in LTC. If you think its bad in BTC...about 75% of the total hash power on the LTC network is located in China, and mining on Chinese pools. In fact there are really only a handful of scrypt ASIC producers, all of them located in China. Its not a great situation but its not as bad as some people make it out to be. There is no incentive for the Chinese miners to harm Litecoin, they stand to lose more than anybody else. IMO this is just the result of a free market...the only people who saw profit in producing scrypt asics reside in China. They're either smarter than the rest of us, or we're all just lazy. As a new miner you should stick to litecoinpool.org (where I'm currently mining) or if you don't mind a small pool, https://www.wemineltc.com/As for a wallet, Litecoin Core works just fine and you can download the bootstrap file to speed up the blockchain sync. Otherwise if you're ok with an SPV client the Electrum LTC wallet is very good. I assume when you say "shit going on with spv" when referring to Bitcoin you're talking about some of the proposed changes (RBF for example) that could make SPV clients unstable. None of that is going on in Litecoin. SPV clients are just fine, and are not under threat. Very true. Litecoin is always a nice backup of Bitcoin, which could possibly fail one day before Litecoin. Although such chance is not really high in the forseeable future. |

i really marvel at the price behavior. i expected the crash yesterday. but then it rose even more. my explanation is: BTC is boring. price is stable and the bad press according block size. that why traders switched to altcoins and big players are manipulation altcoin prices, e.g. doge, at the moment. this won't last. my new prediction is that doge and other alts will go down at the end of this week. I give up predicting doge price now. Alts (especially doge) prices are highly unpredictable. One thing for sure is that whatever the price it is, doge is still my favor alt and this coin will last long. |
