approaching a digital revolution of sorts and the financial sector is likely to be the first to truly feel
the impact. While we do not know the path this journey will take, our belief is that the benefits will
outweigh the costs of transitioning to a natively digital currency and that blockchain will prove to

However, there is a gigantic knowledge gap between the people who are creating these currencies
and the people who are supposed to be using them. The public’s understanding of
cryptocurrencies is so little, and the effort required to understand cryptocurrencies so great, the
likelihood of mass adoption is extremely low. The public is craving a SIMPLE currency that is easy to
understand. And let’s be honest, we’re trying to digitize a rectangular piece of paper not weather
patterns. Let’s keep it simple.
Our solution is to set the supply of our currency equal to the number of US Dollars in circulation as
of the latest fed data available when Scratchcoin launched…June 30, 2021.

This simple innovation has very big implications. There are two ways to look of this idea, each
equally important. One is clever and marketable; the other is serious and critical. We shall start with
the clever.
The clever way to look at it.
By using a familiar number of units (USD in circulation), it makes the math very easy for people to
understand and visualize. If Scratchcoin were to replace the US Dollar one-for-one, 1 SCR = 1 USD.
We have yet to hear a single person say they don’t understand this concept. It’s intuitive because
it’s as if we took all paper dollars and put them on the internet. Simple.
The serious way to look at it.Most people think that the thousands of cryptocurrencies out there are all vying for a spot at the
top to take down the US Dollar. Most people believe bitcoin is the cryptocurrency community’s
answer to the dollar but it is not. Experts see bitcoin replacing GOLD as a scarce commodity store
of value. In our view, simple tokens will effectively sit on top of the bitcoin protocol as the de facto
new dollar. Right now, the federal reserve’s plan is to release a cryptocurrency to eventually
replace the dollar. Many refer to this as ‘Fedcoin’ but they are generally called Central Bank Digital
Currencies (CBDC). There are three very big problems with this plan and Scratchcoin addresses all
three.
Problem #1: The Fed’s plan is to research and release results in FIVE YEARS!!!! That is not how
technology works. We are so far behind it is not even funny. This is not a train we can slow
down. The technology and infrastructure, in our view, is 95% complete and five years is not even
close to soon enough.
Problem #2: CBDC’s like Fedcoin have the potential to dramatically INCREASE government
control by automating taxes, automating redistribution of wealth, and more. Google ‘Fedcoin’
for 10 minutes or so and you will get an idea of the potential here. Whether or not Scratchcoin is
your answer to this problem, more attention needs to be paid to this.
Problem #3: We believe the fed may integrate the continued ability to digitally print money. In
other words, they will incorporate into the code the ability to increase the supply of digital
dollars at their discretion. IN OTHER WORDS, THEY CAN CONTINUE TO PRINT MONEY AND DRIVE
INFLATION UPWARDS.
Scratchcoin is drawing a line in the sand. We froze all US Dollars in circulation and put them in a
cryptocurrency. That currency is called Scratchcoin.
It is your choice. In our view there are two options.
Fedcoin will be digital in 5 years (or more) and will have a supply controlled by the government
Scratchcoin is digital NOW and has that same supply but fixed FOREVER
If there truly is a free market for money…I like our chances.
This is not an attack on any institution, just a statement of fact that the plan in place is not good
enough. We envision a future where Americans lead the charge in cryptocurrency, not stand by
while the rest of the world passes us by. We believe Scratchcoin is the best path toward mass
