21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When to exit on: February 19, 2021, 04:19:54 PM
Mining is already dead.

ANY MINING IS DEAD RIGHT NOW. Devs are going to push PoS on ETH because the number of hashrate from GREEDY GUYS has gone to the roof. They are going to stop it as soon as possible.

Before PoS, EIP 1559 will be implemented, and people will get something around 50% less than now. But still, greedy guys will say: hey! i'm making 2 dolars a day in summer overheating my house!Worth the suffering!!!

And once ETH goes PoS, PROBABLY 600TH OF HASHRATE will have to search for a living, and there will NO LIVING COIN TO REMAIN PROFITABLE ONCE THIS OUTRAGEOUS NUMBER OF GPUS FLOOD THE MARKET.

The matter is not WHEN TO STOP. The matter is WHEN MINING IS GOING TO INSTA-DIE.
Why are you calling miners greedy people? Ethereum is the one that introduced PoW algorithm, don't forget that and people who don't have money can't even become a miner, it's costs alot to become a miner, you are a complete joke  Grin if ethereum becomes less profitable we will mine conflux, yesterday this coin is more profitable to mine than ethereum, there are other coins as well
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Just built rig for first time, windows not seeing card. on: February 19, 2021, 03:01:59 PM
Also let me add, I would run nvidia experience to update the drivers, it would download, install restart and when I opened nvidia experience to verify the install it said it needed the driver.  None of this happened when I put in my older msi card.
It is pretty hard to believe that the card is new, do you break the seal yourself? What you are describing seems like artefacts appearing on the GPU it is better to return the graphics card to the store and make the seller test it in their own PC or motherboard just to confirm, you have to return it before it's too late
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA RTX 3060 Non Ti Earns 6.8$ per day? on: February 19, 2021, 01:28:09 PM
The RTX 3060 ti can do 6.8 dollar per day but I'm not so sure about the RTX 3060 none ti but I'm sure that their performance shouldn't be different much also I'm sure you must have heard that NVIDIA are trying to make Rtx 3060 a bad choice for miners, I think it's better not to invest in that gpu for now until further notice
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have some 16000 usd but need to know investment portion on: February 19, 2021, 12:17:48 PM
Op I can see that you have interest in DeFi projects mind you they are the most risky projects around make sure you do your research very well before investing in any DeFi projects also I would advise you to invest in top altcoins because they are more safer than many new altcoins, polkadot and avalanche are the best new defi projects I trust, do your own research
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Amepay raised 84.6 million in their IEO on: February 19, 2021, 11:45:56 AM
Amepay team needs to fully launch their products right now and I'm sure that there will be huge adoption on the project, we have seen many projects in the past that are trying to achieve what amepay is trying to do here but later they got abandoned, if amepay can really show what they are really trying to accomplish here there will surely be demands on the tokens, that I can assure anybody
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart contract gas fee on: February 16, 2021, 06:03:46 PM
We all know that eth gas fee is different from smart contract tokens gas fee, infact way higher so I want to ask if there is a way to know how much sending tokens on Ethereum blockchain costs lately? Or if any send tokens to exchange today how much does it cost?
Erc20 tokens transfer costs as high as 21$ to 25$, that's the minimum right now, it doesn't make any sense to make transactions if you only have tokens worth 50$ to 80$, it's a total waste of money, I guess I will wait till bullrun before I will be able to sell some tokens
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low RAM stick on mobo on: February 16, 2021, 05:27:00 PM
It should work well if you have snappier CPU, I am running a 4x gtx1660 ti here with just 2gig ram stick and it works with no issue, I believe that raising the page file will help in mining more than your actual RAM stick size
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rx580 overclocking on: February 16, 2021, 03:47:26 PM
Flashing modded bios is more easier than doing all this tweaking yourself but it's pretty hard to get a modded bios for micron RX580 8gb, I've tried searching for one but all strength was in vain, I later have to use wattman to do some settings to get low temp out of the GPU and low watts too, I'm stuck on 28MH/s
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto mining make lots of whales out of the first miners on: February 12, 2021, 03:44:00 PM
What makes you think that early miners of coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Doge coin, XMR and others are all whales today? Many lost their private keys and never get their coins back and some don't have the nerve to hold the coins for years , they probably sold off and walk away
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / If a project gets too complicated on: February 12, 2021, 02:47:33 PM
If a crypto project gets too complicated to understand can it affect the projects adoption rate or people don't care this days where they put their money? I remember when Hex was launched many think it's a scam and so many complains about not understanding a thing about what the project is all about, what do you say ?
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot or Binance Smart Chain? on: February 12, 2021, 02:12:30 PM
Right now Polkadot/Polkastarter is a hot cake, every projects that use this platform are always in good hands and fundraising always ends up in a big success, no wonder many new projects are rushing to Polkadot right now, can't be compared to binance smartchain sorry
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is It Still Profitable To Mine Cryptos In 2021 on: February 12, 2021, 12:44:13 PM
Mining is a long term investment and some times you get your ROI faster just because of bull season like the one we are in presently, you need to know how to keep your GPUs alive, the enemy of your mining rig is heat if you mine at good temp your GPUs will have a very very long life span and you will still end up selling them to gamers to upgrade to another card
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Just a curiosity on: February 11, 2021, 01:14:42 PM
What will happen to Ethereum proof of work if asic miners are banished? Will the mining profitability reduce marginally or it won't affect the ROI? Are higher Hashrates better or not? Wil it affect Ethereum value ?
Do you like to fantasize?
That will not happen. Ethereum wants to quickly switch to the new POS algorithm and they will not change the current algorithm for mining.
I can't see any sign of quick switching to POS any sooner, why the EIP 1559 plan if PoS algorithm is already around the corner? I don't see that happening at any time, PoW algorithm is a big part of why Ethereum comes this far today, vitalik won't want to risk that
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GPUs on Alibaba on: February 11, 2021, 11:46:38 AM
Either alibaba, aliexpress or even ebay make sure you are buying from a seller that have some many graphic cards before and read the comments from buyers if the experience with the seller went well and also how long it takes him or her to send the graphic cards, I've shopped for more GPUS on ebay than aliexpress
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question about discard stales on: February 11, 2021, 11:24:28 AM
It's nothing to worry about, change your internet connection to 4G speed or LTE and say goodbye to such error while mining, also check your pool server, make sure that the server is set to nearest country, this will limit your rejected shares, now I have 3500 shares accepted with 5-7 rejected, I believe that's extremely good
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stay away from new POW coins on: February 11, 2021, 10:50:56 AM
Not all new coins are bad, I'm not saying you should start mining new coins but I saying you should be on look out for new POW that makes sense, no one expected ETN to be this good and I missed a good opportunity to mine that coin even when I could, a friend made 10,000$ from ETN through mining, good project is all that matters
Yea sometimes new coins are worth the risk, I've seen many making more money from mining new pow coins and most of them don't last for long before the lose value, the trick is make your gains and sell the coins because you can not tell what will happen to such coin later
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / RX580 modded bios needed on: February 08, 2021, 05:46:39 PM
Hi fellas I need a modded bios for rx580 8gb with Micron memory onboard or other best mining hashrate settings at lower power draw, pls drop me your settings for rx580 GPUs and let me see if any might favour my gpu, thanks
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the Ethereum Gas Fee go down? on: February 08, 2021, 03:58:14 PM
Probably when the bull run is finally over? If Ethereum keeps growing higher the gas fee will keep increasing, I don't know what buterin plans to implement the EIP1559 that have been discussed many times already or maybe they have abandoned the idea too? Only whales will benefit here
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to run windows OS through USB for mining on: February 05, 2021, 10:05:19 AM
If you want to run os from USB then why don't u try hive os? If it's only for mining I think hive os is better for the driver configuration. If you insist on using windows then 120 gb ssd is quite cheap right now.
May be the OP can't configure the miner themselves? No matter what some people will never be friendly with Linux based OS, they are better off with windows OS for Mining, I could remember the first time I tried Linux out, it's was hell 🤣🤣🤣
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ZCash? What kind of hardware do I need? on: February 05, 2021, 06:37:19 AM
Hi,
what is the min spec graphics card I need to mine ZCash?

Also - what mining software is available?
Can I mine on windows?

Thanks!

Ahh Zcash, I remember when it got released in 2016. Basically not much was going on in Oct 2016 so everybody was awaiting the launch of ZCash. The miner reward was low at first to prevent instamining and when ZCash was actually launched people were hammering the pools to be the first to mine a few blocks. I remember I got like a fraction of a Zcash, sent it to Poloniex and ended up getting an entire GPU paid for because price was like 10 BTC per 1 ZEC. Yes 1 ZEC was worth 10 BTC in 2016.

Anyways. Sometime in 2019, an Zcash ASIC came out for ZCASH and you could no longer mine it with GPUs. So if you really want to mine it you gotta buy some Antminer Z15 or such. No other way to mine it these days. If you want to mine other Equihash type coins you can mine Bitcoin Gold which uses the same algo but with different parameters.Only coin to mine with GPUs these days is ETH pretty much.
So once upon a time 1 Zcash was 10BTC? Oh my GOD! No wonder some are looking for new coins to mine, the problem is new coins if today are different from 2016 new coins, they say no premine no ico and they still turned scam in the end, it's better to keep mining old coins nowadays
