21  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S19 110T/95T for sale on: November 25, 2020, 02:21:45 PM
my point is the prices should not be where even with free electricity and no tariff that you still take over a year to ROI - the network hash/diff will increase and that time will then double by the time you get close to the end of a year.

prices should come closer to where roi is closer to 7-9 months which then becomes 14 months as you actually use it and network hash/diff continues to increase.
I absolutely couldn't agree more! People lose sight of this reality in these exuberant times. This allows sellers to take advantage of those who ignore this. It's ALWAYS been the case in mining. It always will be.
22  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S19 110T/95T for sale on: November 25, 2020, 12:43:32 PM
Nice breakdown Phil. Always appreciated. You missed a critical variable. Bitmain's gear is by and large, garbage. You'll lose 3-5 of those units to faulty engineering, weak chips and boards. Warranty you say.....well, yeah sure. You pay big $ to send back to China, no USA repair. Then they keep your gear for 4-6 weeks, only to send you back someone else's unit that has different problems. Stick with MicroBT. Bitmain is history.

Wow....Outstanding prices and offering. I need to look at what I might be able to use in fans. I'm 415y/240 so I can't use any of your switch gear or step down. The 10 gauge wire rolls are a steal @ $700.00 per 1000'.

A very good friend and business associate of ours, was trying to find someone/someplace to get trained in High Level Miner repair work. CD told him he could help him. CD tried to charge him $10,000.00. Then my acquaintance checked around and found out CD has never repaired a miner at this high level. He has no knowledge or expertise in it even though he said he did. He farms that work out to another place. He was trying to get in the middle of the training between the two places and pocket $8,000.00.
25  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: October 19, 2020, 02:43:38 PM
All true my friend. I also had "better" luck with the 50TH Pro's but still pretty bad. 35% failure rates across my S17's. I only ran earlier iteration S9's and they were bomb proof for me. Less than 5% failure rate for years and even then BM stood behind them. Whole different BM now. BTW Micro BT is started and run by an ex-BM Engineer I believe.
26  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: October 19, 2020, 01:47:37 AM
Running 50 M30s 72 TH. 4 Months now. They run at 74TH and the Watts are lower than specs claimed. Like BM USED TO DO. Not only are they bomb proof, the FW is intuitive. If the machine senses too much heat, it will down tune itself. Then once the Temp returns to normal, it again adjusts back. Current gen Whatsminer's are unparalleled. If you're a commercial miner, you owe it to yourself to scrap Bitmain and go MicroBT current HW.
27  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: October 18, 2020, 10:49:42 PM
You are not paranoid. Bitmain's hardware is garbage. The S-17 series has literally destroyed miners and their businesses. They did nothing to support this garbage hardware. Now the S-19 has a solid Heat Sync on the chip side but still radiator style on back. Half fixed the engineering disaster of the S-17's. Bitmain needs to be taken down. They are greedy ruthless pigs. Stick with Micro BT. They are amazing on all fronts. Quality, efficiency and these beasts run like S-9's. Amazing units.

I grit my teeth when I see an offer like this. DO NOT buy miners that have been run in COLO's. I promise you these units were running 3rd party FW OC's and burning at redline on their racks. I KNOW THIS. They come to me to fix their shit so they can sell it to unsuspecting secondary buyers. Especially in Canada and the US. It will show up with "Stock FW" because they wiped it and re flashed it. I'm sure I know this COLO in Georgia. They OC the everloving shit out of their customer's units. The Customer does not even know it. They steal the customer's OC'd hash. He just gets paid on stock. People need to wake up to this. We're already seeing cooked S19's in my repairs. S17+'s are a disaster. COLO's are generally run by greedy idiots that have no scruples. Just greedy pigs. You've been warned.

Custom FW = Vnish = Fried chips. No thanks.

Vnish is not only custom firmware. Neither custom firmware nor Vnish's firmware indicate fried chips.

I am interested in machine if it is still up for sale. Also interested in knowing which firmware is it using.
That's interesting, because I repair Bitmain Chip boards. 98% of the "fried chips" I encounter ( and I encounter a LOT )are OC'd units and Vnish has 95% of the OC FW on the street these days. Lastly, almost ALL boards that run Vnish FW sustain excessive heat damage. " ALL ". But hey...What do I know. At least he will stand behind his product and warranty it.....oh wait....that's not true.

I would strongly recommend against buying any S17 or T17 Antminer products. They are a disaster. Particularly used ones. Especially used ones from COLO's that ran them on Vnish FW that cooks the chips. Ignore this warning at your own peril. I tell you this based on a very broad level of experience.

Over 2 months with this stupid bulls*it??? Hahaha. Buyers should at least lower their bids by the daily earnings lost, playing circle jerk with this Cluster f%&k.

I can buy this unit brand new from a completely trusted source for $1650.00 USD  landed on my doorstep. You're charging $1950.00 and you have no trust.
35  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS S 17 pro ASIC - on: August 18, 2020, 01:28:07 AM
Just a little word to the wise. Tesla Watt OC's the shit out of their renter's gear. Renter gets paid for Stock Hashrate, they keep the overage and the chips get fried. Typical COLO game these days. Parasites. Then the bottom feeders sell them to unsuspecting third party miners. "Selling for a friend" haha.Same shit Blockware Solutions does.
36  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Few S19 Pro's 110TH/s on: July 29, 2020, 12:48:09 PM
He's "fishing". There will be no legitimate pics. No way to prove that they are. The scammer I'm referring to was also in Germany. He went so far as to send me pictures of boxed miners and  legit Serial numbers that appeared in Bitmains website. He also offered a physical pickup but when I offered to fly there he changed his tune. ( this was a large purchase). This person I'm referring to even tried to falsify shipping invoices from DHL to prove the units had been shipped. He provided pictures of forged Country ID cards with pictures and an official looking seal on it.  Then he even kept trying to keep the story alive by saying they were held up in customs. More forgery of those documents. These scammers have gotten very tricky and very sophisticated. Because they know full well that if they can scam someone internationally the German Law Enforcement will not even pursue them. Be extremely careful with this. Obviously that's a "too good to be true" price.
37  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 💥 KABOOM! [WTS] [UPDATED DAILY] on: July 25, 2020, 02:33:02 PM
why would the malaysia ones be more expensive? and 200 more than the china sourced ones? I guess what I am asking is what did you pay for them? the advertised 1750? what warrants such a huge markup? At bitmains price and free electricity - if difficulty and price hold, these would be over 12 months roi and that is with FREE electricity. and that is before shipping and tariffs - which would push it out another few months. And we all know diff will go up, it always does. so maybe now 2 years to make roi? which wont happen because in 10-12 months BM will release new miners making it even more impossible for these to make ROI.

I guess my point is that even BM price makes it hard to ROI with free electricity - add in the tariffs and markups and its a pipe dream.

and this is by no means directed at you per se - all the resellers are doing the same thing --- buying all the stock before the actual miners can -- and then reselling it for huge markups.

would seem like it would be better if there were no resellers and miners could actually buy from manufacturer - but i also know that some places cannot buy direct so need resellers and are thus forced to pay the increased prices.

and this is the reason I only ever buy from resellers for new gear. I cannot justify the lack of roi or huge premiums to buy from resellers.
We've seen this movie before. These "resellers" inevitably always get crushed. Bitmain entices them with back door volume discounts. Then makes them, pay up front. Then while these idiots are holding the bag, Bitmain shoves it up their ass by continuing to release "sold out" gear intermittently. Pretty soon the profit metrics become untenable, like now, and the whole house of cards crumbles. These assclowns get caught with a bunch of gear they paid $1700.00 a unit for and can't sell for even $1,000.00. Be patient. It's coming very soon.
38  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S19 (95T) for sale on: July 24, 2020, 01:00:34 AM
You are not embarrassed to post such an abysmal offer? This is what can be characterized as a " Guaranteed loser". That sale price, non-hosted... at .04 cents per kwh is a 2 year ROI. Add in your horrible metric, and this pays back......never. I don't understand why people tolerate the insidious nature of these "COLO's". People need to be made aware of this parasitic business model. These businesses contribute nothing more than destructive facets to the space.
