24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency during this pandemic on: March 27, 2020, 09:22:58 AM
What do you expect them to be doing? Print more BTC or other coins and dash out out to the community? That's funny though. This period isn't good for anyone so many projects are in serious difficult moment too. Only expectation now is to trade and trade wisely.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LATOKEN, Probit, What else? on: March 26, 2020, 08:30:39 AM
I think those exchanges need to take some research or action before allowing any project for IEO. They shouldn't always think about money but for reputation also. I can remember once Latoken was good for a new project now it's good for the shit project. Probit also making fake trade and volume for the project listed there. I think that's not a work of good exchange.

I don't think it's about them making researches befire allowing an IEO. They actually know those projects are shit and won't survive the market and they go ahead to partner with them just for their greed. The exchanges also help in turning some projects into shit ones. It's really pathetic.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIR DROPS ! wasting time or not? on: March 26, 2020, 08:27:41 AM
Right now, airdrop is a total waste of time. Just about a few airdrops are worth participating in. Airdrops like the likes of OGN. You are sure it's listed in a good and reputable exchange and will want to pay to protect the image of the project. Asides those kind of airdrops, others are just not worth the time.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: March 24, 2020, 12:22:42 PM
Coins from 2014... Hmmm, I don't think I still ahev any except bitcoin. Do I even know these coins? I suggest you mention some names of the coins or so an article to enlighten the newbies. Some of us left crypto and came back and might not remember the name of these coins you talk about.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when everybody buys the bottom ??? on: March 23, 2020, 06:22:32 PM
Basic things happen, the tokens perish.

There is a need for investors to always wary and do more research when it comes to buying the bottom.

The typical example that comes to mind, is the STQ, several people got on the token and bought the bottom, it was shocking because i kept asking myself, who were going to buy the pump.

I guess we all know the end of STQ token ?

Always dyor and be extra cautious when buying the bottom, crypto currency investment is indeed a risk but there are avoidable losses.

I am very much open to other suggestions

My question is, how do one actually know the bottom price of a coin? I still find that hard to figure. Some days ago, some said Ethereum was at the bottom at the price of $200+, today same Ethereum still going down. I think all this is assumption. Crypto to me is a game of luck. Just do thorough research before you invest or trade any coin.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers always make use of advantages on: March 23, 2020, 07:48:05 AM
Last week the United kingdom's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a warning that the coronavirus out real might be providing criminals with the opportunity to swindle investors out of their crypto assets, you've been warned

Scammers are sophisticated, opportunistic and will surely try many things.

Do not trust any one or organization asking for donations to combat the outbreak, it's not real

The opportunity to scam is not just in crypto. People should be careful even in their homes because some evil group are seizing this opportunity to rob different homes in disguise as health workers spraying homes against the virus. No one should believe anything from anybody unless proper information was passed by the government on that.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Corona Virus was predicted but it will soon vanish on: March 23, 2020, 07:12:46 AM

there are millions or billions of books created from that year up to now,so at least there will be a coincidence about the Books story to real life.i think it's just happen that the Author did mentioned this and it happens.
also if he really predicted this Virus then he should have also Known the numbers of people died lol.
but lets Hope that it will also be vanished quickly as what he says and so the world will be in safer place again and also the Market of crypto.

What we all need now is one good news that finally there is a cure for Corona Virus and once we have one,  the market will recover and those who take the opportunity when the market is down will be the one to benefit, this is a good and open opportunity for anyone or group to become whales in the future.

That good news is all we all wait for. The statements by these leaders are really confusing me on this corona case. Last week we heard about chloroquine being approved as the cure. I don't know if that still valid. Yesterday, I heard a pastor said the cure will be out this week. Infact, we all look up to the sky now for help. This issue should come to an end already.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus is ravaging a large portion of cryptocurrencies. Is this permanent? on: March 22, 2020, 10:35:08 AM
This effect on the market definitely can not be permanent. Once the crisis of corona Virus dies Dow, I believe the market will regain volume and even more than expected. Come to think of it, I haven't seen any bad effect on the market yet. The price we have now is still within what we had before the virus came.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New altcoin ideas. on: March 21, 2020, 12:53:28 PM
Hi all,

I worked on some cryptocoin projects and finally I'm thinking about start an altcoin from scratch.

The 2 basic ideas are:

- Create acoin from scratch using newest languages (for example, Python) and store the blockchain into a sqlite database. Major part of coins are developed in C/C++ and code is too hard to understand for newbies (and no newbies!). I would open a blog and I would explain all parts of the coin (server, client, wallet, mining algo). I think lot of people here really don't understand how it works a crypto or what really he doing when mining...

- Make it quantum resistant. Whit quantic cpus the security of all coins will be broken easily. I want to explore the possibilities for the postquantum era. I know some coins are working on this area, but unfortunately tjis is not common...

What do you think about that? Of course, I'm accepting new ideas, or if general opinion is that I wasting my time, I will forget the idea lol

Thanks for your time!

Is the point just about creating new coin? I think you need a team to pull through this. Also, you need a product for the coin unless you just want to create a coin and push into the market. Again, if that's the case, you still need funds to get the coin into a reputable exchange if you want profit.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto theft on: March 21, 2020, 07:10:23 AM
This is the first time I hear a bitcoin thief is caught, an exchange theft for that matter. I suppose the lady didn't master the act very well before embarking on it. This is very commendable and at least will put fear in other thieves that would want to do such.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Crypto - Part 2 - Content Creation Platforms - Earn from Writing on: March 20, 2020, 06:02:00 PM
Great article that is the perfect introduction to how you can earn crypto without investing your capital.

Also thanks for showing me the crypto blogging platform. I have started earning BAT through it. If anyone is interested in joining, you can through the article in this thread, I highly recommend it.

Which of the platforms gives BAT for publications? I didn't see that on the article or perhaps I skipped it. I know about steemit and Publish0x and hope to start using them soonest for my publications.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to try yourself in trading and investing on the crypto. on: March 19, 2020, 04:06:32 PM
Most trading platforms have demo so newbies can use that to learn how trading works, they don't have to find some pennies to try out, bounties still pays till date I know many are scam but few ones still pays, if newbies aren't lazy it's a good way to start

I tried using a demo account to try trading sometime ago, it was all sweet and rosy at first, going very well. I didn't quite see any difficulty trading with demo account, I saw it easy and wondered why people say trading is difficult. Not until I started using little amount of money to do the actual real trading, the dance step changed.

Demo account is good but I guarantee you, it's never the same when real trading is involved. Only when "small pennies" is used will you understand the true meaning of trading.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Exchanges vs FCA (What do you think about it?) on: March 19, 2020, 01:21:04 PM
So recently i saw a few articles specifically about some of biggest crypto exchanges clashing with the Financial Conduct Authority of the UK, does this worry you? Or is it normal as the establishment against crypto? Below are the two articles that I am talking about.

https://beincrypto.com/financial-watchdog-says-bitmex-in-the-uk/

- The United Kingdom’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has reason to believe that BitMEX has been operating without authorization in the region. The popular Bitcoin derivatives trading venue apparently does not have the required licence to operate in Britain.

https://beincrypto.com/top-uk-regulator-issues-warning-about-cryptocurrency-exchange-kraken/

- Kraken has been warned by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) of the United Kingdom over its business dealings in the country. The regulatory agency claims they are unauthorized to operate in the United Kingdom.

To be honest i'm a little worried that the UK is hitting those exchanges, these are some of the biggest ones and I'm a big fan of Kraken.

I think we will see more of this in the future, clearly banks do not like exchanges as they are struggling to deal with them and make their cut. Nice article though, I'll expect more in the next month hitting other exchanges.

Banks do not like exchanges but I doubt if they can hold against oh for long. Look at what is happening now. My thought is that people now resort to these exchanges to safe keep their financial assets.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution for EOS wallet needed on: March 19, 2020, 10:05:35 AM
Hmmm.. This EOS blockchain is one blockchain I still do not understand. Many people complain so much about CPU and transaction stuff. Without EOS you can't do a transaction or get CPU, then you need CPU to generate EOS. The whole thing is confusing honestly.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This Week In Crypto on: March 18, 2020, 08:39:37 AM
The correlation is not high enough, why call that high correlation when Bitcoin goes down from 5000$ to 4k today? The way I'm seeing things it's possible that Bitcoin will go down to 3k again
The markets are correlated positively, so when the stock market crashes it affects the money markets aka spot forex. The spot forex&Gold&Commodities markets are correlated too, it will be naive to analyze the mentioned financial markets separately. Just zoom out and see the bigger picture.

Exactly. This is why it's always good to stay abreast of happenings outside ones area. The stock and Forex are also struggling for the past week, even the oil sector in my country has also witnessed a great fall too. There's a big correlation. Whether it's because of corona Virus, we just hope things normalises soon.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening? on: March 16, 2020, 04:30:18 PM
In dealing with any coin or project, first thing to note is not to follow hype. From experience, I have come to understand that hyped projects mostly disappoint. But you see those ones on low key and neglected does better than expected.

Well, the market condition now is not to be used to judge the performance of any coin. Give it time and then see what happens.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when price is dump?? on: March 14, 2020, 11:25:41 AM
The smart move of course will be to hold to the coins or tokens a trader already has in the portfolio, not to panic sell. Then for those in USDT, another smart move is to pick a coin of choice and buy into the dip because this is the best time for buys rather than when there's green. Many traders are yet to understand this.
