21  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Win $500 in the Ballet Selfie Contest, Up to 30% Off on all REAL Wallets on: August 01, 2020, 04:23:08 PM
Does it have to be safe for work? Or can I get a group of strippers to pose with a wallet or 2?

That is fine, proceed.

Do you have enough google wallets?

Send me some physical wallets and ill get the photos together, probably need a week or so to get some good shots depending on the weather

Head on over here to get the wallets at up to 30% off: https://www.bobbylee.com/collections/all

I will send something -Maybe I will be in it, maybe I will not Smiley and list it somewhere as simply as "In the US" though anyone can look my business up and know exactly where I am at anyways. Though I pity anyone foolish enough to come and try and take anything from me.

I am going to wait for my additional items to arrive though - the more the merrier Smiley

I think some were thinking you wanted location as precise as something like "Seattle, Washington"

Awesome! Your order should be arriving soon.

Does it have to be safe for work? Or can I get a group of strippers to pose with a wallet or 2?

No. Yes.
23  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Win $500 in the Ballet Selfie Contest, Up to 30% Off on all REAL Wallets on: July 30, 2020, 06:38:06 PM
going to have to get creative on this as most places are locked down still.

ordered a bitcoin and an ethereum to replace the ones I gave away.  I also placed an order for the pro series. I should now have at least one of each of the wallets you have done (except the block ones) to date. Maybe some day I can get a block one lol

let me add - Ballet also did free shipping on top of the 10% discount.

We hope you enjoy your collection of wallets! We have some exciting new products coming soon. Stay tuned!

I can completely understand why you’d want a selfie pic with one of your Ballet products - ideal for marketing purposes. But I’m not sure if people would be comfortable with this , tbh , I wont be entering the competition, but that’s my personal decision. Having a selfie of myself including my geographical position used as a marketing tool to the world, doesn’t sit comfortably with me in, particularly, as Mopar states , we wouldn’t be traveling far from our residences in these covid times.
Still love the products though  Smiley

We're sorry if you feel you can't participate because of privacy concerns. Our contest does not require you to reveal your name or your specific location. An example entry could be something from "CryptoLover123 in the United States."

I don’t believe you have to release your identity with the photograph? After all Ballet is meant to be for widespread adoption so this contest is pretty neat. I believe they were just sharing it here as a courtesy for the forum members that collect as you can email them the picture as well  Smiley

That's exactly right, you don't have to release your identify, just a general location. This is a fun little contest for everyone to see photos of fellow collectors in different geographical areas.

Yep, I assume you don’t put your name to it ! But showing a picture of yourself holding a valuable item , in or very close to where you live , brings security issues personally . It doesn’t take much on the web to match a photo, to find a name and address etc.
Anyway that’s my personal view

Hi, if you're concerned about the privacy of your funds, please cover up the QR code indicating your public address. Masks/face coverings are also acceptable.

With these conditions, you will get the opposite results. I expect that some people will stay away from using your products because you ask them to send some personal photos with your products, while waiving intellectual rights, using them for marketing purposes in exchange for an opportunity to win in a competition that determines who wins and who loses.
It's a very bad proposition and the customer is the losing side anyway.

1. Send us a selfie of you and your Ballet product with a scenic/interesting/cute background. Remember to add your general location to your post.
3.    By submitting a photo in this contest, you grant Ballet a royalty-free nonexclusive right, in perpetuity, to use the photograph for marketing purposes.
6.      Ballet may decide, in its sole discretion, to suspend the photo contest, disqualify individuals from participating in the contest, refuse to grant prizes, reduce the number of prizes or otherwise interpret the rules of this contest as it sees fit.

In other words, you plan to spend $ 1,000 (and you may not do it if you know who wins Wink) for a lot of free promotion.

If you really secured more than $ 21 million, it would be better to appoint a new marketing team.

We aren't giving away $3,000 in prizes for a lot of free promotion (ads/coupons/any other targeted direct marketing effort would be more effective than a photo contest). We're holding a contest for our community to show off their camera skills and post interesting photos for other people to see.

[/quote]
I think this is enticing contest but probably few are gonna be uncomfortable to join due to the provisions of sending a selfie. What if only a scenery with the item of ballets? Would that be enough? Some here would probably hesitant especially it quite sensitive to send an address and a matching photo of you.

Can company secured that the losers data sent were not gonna be used for marketing? Its gonna be a frustrating situation. Anyway gonna pass with this. Goodluck in advance to the participants who will joined.

Yes, please submit any photo including Ballet products if you feel uncomfortable taking a selfie.
24  Economy / Collectibles / Win $500 in the Ballet Selfie Contest, Up to 30% Off on all REAL Wallets on: July 30, 2020, 05:01:33 AM
Hi everyone,

We are proud to announce that Ballet recently passed a major growth milestone: over 21 million dollars worth of cryptocurrency is now secured by Ballet wallets.

This milestone was achieved only 9 months after we launched our first product in September 2019, which makes Ballet one of the fastest growing wallet services worldwide. This growth was possible because of early users like you, and we are deeply grateful.

In order to celebrate the milestone of 21 million dollars worth of cryptocurrency secured by Ballet wallets, our CEO Bobby Lee is pleased to announce a special, limited-time offer for all Ballet REAL Series wallets (BTC, LTC, ETH, and XRP versions available; normal price $35). From now until August 6, you can get a discount of up to 30% on all REAL Series wallets, depending on purchase quantity:

1 or 2 wallets = 10% discount
3 to 5 wallets = 20% discount
6 or more wallets = 30% discount

To take advantage of this fantastic deal, go to: https://bobbylee.com/collections/all

Selfie Contest

In celebration of the 21 million milestone, we are also holding a social media photo contest with a prize pool of $3,000 worth of BTC. It’s easy, fun, and free to play, so why not take a chance to stack some sats?

Prizes

3 * 1st prize - $500 worth of BTC

3 * 2nd prize - $300 worth of BTC

3 * 3rd prize - $200 worth of BTC

How to Enter the Contest

1. Send us a selfie of you and your Ballet product with a scenic/interesting/cute background. Remember to add your general location to your post.

2. You can email a selfie of you and your Ballet product with a scenic/interesting/cute background to marketing@balletcrypto.com or reply to this thread/tweet us/DM us/post in the Ballet Telegram group. Remember to add your general location to your post.

Contest Period

The selfie contest will begin at 3 AM UTC on July 30th, 2020 (8 PM Pacific Time on July 29th, 2020), and will end at 3 AM UTC on August 6th, 2020 (8 PM Pacific Time on August 5th, 2020).

Winners will be announced at 5 AM UTC on August 8th, 2020 (11 PM Pacific Time on August 7th, 2020).

Contest Rules

1.    All submitted photos must include a clear shot of one or more Ballet wallets and must clearly show a scenic/interesting/cute background. You can choose to cover up your wallet’s QR code for privacy reasons, if you would like.

2.    All submitted images must be at least 2,048 pixels wide. Each submission should include information about the general geographic area where the photo was taken, and a caption if you have one.

3.    By submitting a photo in this contest, you grant Ballet a royalty-free nonexclusive right, in perpetuity, to use the photograph for marketing purposes.

4.    Prize winners may not request a cash substitute for the BTC awarded as prizes in this contest.

5.    Participants must have taken any photo they submit or they must have the rights to submit it. By submitting or tweeting a photograph, participants guarantee that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights or intellectual property of a third party.

6.      Ballet may decide, in its sole discretion, to suspend the photo contest, disqualify individuals from participating in the contest, refuse to grant prizes, reduce the number of prizes or otherwise interpret the rules of this contest as it sees fit.

Best,

--The Ballet Team

Edit: We want to send a big thank you to everyone who participated in our photo contest and helped make it a success! We got tons of entries and it was really hard to chose winners; we're grateful for having a loyal and active customer base around the world who supported the contest. The full list of winning entries is here: https://blog.balletcrypto.com/2020/08/07/celebrating-ballets-customers-and-announcing-selfie-contest-winners/

How many people are in control of the BalletCrypto account? Post one is signed off as Tendai while the next two posts break the multiposting rules but are not signed. I highly suggest you community managers at Ballet Crypto read the rules of the forum. Merit abuse and multi posting aren't the best things to be doing here.

Aswell BTCC Mint is defunct and the account should have been retired as the Mint was, not used to prop up Ballet Crypto. Operating in grey areas and acting with shady behavior it is easy to see that the same people that worked at BTCC Mint now work at Ballet Crypto. Much like the free shipping coupons you guys sent out for the trash shipping materials you sent the BTCC Titanium Tenth rolls in that were valid for one year but you shut the company down a month later before people could use them.. I'm just waiting for Ballet Crypto's next gaffe and I'm sure it comes sooner than later.

I am a user of your products and have gifted many to get people started in bitcoin. I just find your business practices very questionable.

Thanks for your feedback teeGUMES. I personally signed the apology to express regret for violating forum protocols. We're a small team, and a couple of people have access to the account.

We try to be transparent and acknowledge our mistakes when we make them. Many of the same people that worked at BTCC Mint do work at Ballet Crypto, but none of us were in charge of actually shutting down BTCC Mint. Indeed, one of the reasons why we started Ballet was because  of our love of physical crypto collectibles.

I guess your definition of well aligned and my definition are not the same.  Roll Eyes

lol, he gave himself 20 merit on the new account. Way to go, such awesome post that is worth giving 20 merit  Roll Eyes
Whoa! Shocked
Seems like these business types dont know the forum etiquette when it comes to the way it's merit system works. Undecided
Since btcc official account just woke up from inactivity. Should of read up on how the activity displayed is frowned upon among the DT members and older members here.

Was just about to pull the trigger to get one of these in a single cause the auction for the 5-pk done by a good member earlier was just too much for me to afford to pay in btc. Embarrassed

Sorry, I didn't know that transferring merit was not allowed. The Ballet Crypto account is a newbie account, so I wanted to let people know that this is our official account that is endorsed by the BTCC account. The way I went about it (giving merit) was wrong. I apologize.

Just curious, but if you don't own BTCC as you claim etc etc etc .... Why did you post this under the BTCC_Official account?

You really get my head scratching there sir, and I'll keep my thoughts to myself I guess from now on... It's just... weird.. Roll Eyes

Hi, Ballet Crypto is a continuation of BTCC Mint, which is separate from the BTCC business.

I guess that the blocks have been already mined, they are then sent to the addie on the physical block after it has been delivered, rather than being mined directly to the addie on the physical block, I'm not very up on the mining side of things TBH

The coins will be mined directly to the address on the physical block.
36  Economy / Collectibles / BALLET Physical Cryptocurrency Wallets on: March 31, 2020, 10:40:06 PM
Greetings, friends and fellow physical bitcoin enthusiasts. This is the official account of Ballet (https://www.balletcrypto.com). We make physical, non-electronic cryptocurrency wallets. Ballet wallets take inspiration from the physical bitcoins pioneered by Casascius, Denarium, and BTCC Mint. Until now, products in this category have been primarily thought of as elegant collectibles. Ballet physical wallets maintain that tradition, but they have also been designed with a focus on providing the most simple and secure private key storage solution for non-technical users. By lowering the technical barrier to entry, we believe that Ballet wallets will contribute greatly to global mainstream adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

This thread is for announcements, discussion, and feedback about Ballet products. You can reach us on Twitter @BalletCrypto.

Ballet Bitcoin Block

Our newest product is the Ballet Bitcoin Block, which we are introducing to the public for the first time here on BitcoinTalk. Building on the legacy of the incredibly popular BTCC Mint Bitcoin Block, Ballet Bitcoin Blocks contain the entire coinbase reward of a newly-mined Bitcoin block. This is done in collaboration with a major mining pool. There’s only a short time until the block reward halving, so act quickly if you want to own one of the few remaining 12.5 BTC coinbase rewards.

The physical blocks are constructed of pure titanium. The dimensions are 8cm X 8cm x 1cm thick.

Ballet REAL Series

The Ballet REAL Series is a physical, non-electronic, multicurrency wallet. It’s a bearer asset - whoever has physical possession of the wallet has full control of all funds contained on it. This enables off-chain transactions below the base layer, which saves on fees and protects your privacy. For example, you could physically exchange a funded REAL Series wallet for a luxury watch, rather than broadcast a transaction to the blockchain. The tamper-evident sticker and scratch-off strip would give the merchant in this example confidence that the customer has never accessed the encrypted private key or the passphrase required to decrypt it.

The REAL Series is ideal for gifting cryptocurrency to first-time users. It is simple to understand, no setup is required, and there is very little opportunity for user error to cause a loss of funds. The standard version is constructed of stainless steel for exceptional durability; as long as you remember the physical location where it is stored and protect it from theft, fire, and corrosive chemicals, your funds will be safe. We also offer a 24k gold-plated version, and Litecoin and Ethereum versions too.

Ballet PRO Series

The Ballet PRO Series is designed to meet the requirements of security experts and high-value investors, but it’s also simple enough for anyone who has experience using a cryptocurrency software or hardware wallet. Users jointly participate with Ballet in the two-factor private key generation process through the open-source BIP38 standard. This method enables us to produce a customized wallet that can only be decrypted by a passphrase that you create, without your passphrase ever leaving the computer you used to generate the BIP38 intermediate code.

Each PRO Series package contains three identical wallets, so you can store physical backups in multiple locations. It’s not a bearer asset, so it’s not suitable for off-chain transactions or gifting like the REAL Series. However, it’s ideal for storing larger amounts of value and inheritance planning.

Customized Wallets

We manufacture customized wallets with the logo of any coin, token, or company for which there is sufficient demand. The minimum order quantity is 500 units for 15,000 USD. If one backer pledges at least 20% of the total cost, we will start a public Kickstarter campaign to fund the remaining amount.

For example, we recently completed a successful Kickstarter campaign for Ravencoin: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/balletcrypto/real-ravencoin-physical-cryptocurrency-wallet-from-ballet/

Reseller Program

We have a growing network of Ballet resellers around the world. If you’re interested in becoming a Ballet reseller, please see more information here: https://www.balletcrypto.com/en/reseller/
