21  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bit-Syndicate - A Bitcoin Lottery Syndicate [++ chance to win a Bitcoin Lottery] on: August 17, 2011, 03:32:43 PM
I just got 7 tix in the standard BitLotto draw... I hope we win Jr. today Smiley

Thanks for joining in on the main draw:)

As you may have seen there was a request by the BitLotto organiser for people to work out the results while he is gone. I have just finished working it out... and as far as I can tell it is correct. The good news is, from my calculations, the syndicate has won BitLotto Jr for the second time in a row! Don't get too excited because I may be wrong but I'm 99% sure I'm not.

The prize pool was, afaik, 2.90 BTC. We had 27 tickets pooled. Therefore each ticket has a winning value of 0.1074.

If in fact we have won, please be patient when waiting for your winnings as we will have to wait till the BitLotto organiser comes back at the end of the month.

I'll be opening the next BitLotto Jr syndicate shortly.

If your calculations are correct then I won a little over 1BTC. I hope you are right Smiley

A little bit over 1BTC, on top of what I invested that is Cheesy

1000 shares * 0.109 BTC each = 109 BTC (~$1090 USD)

ROI = 0.12 BTC/wk (~$1.20 USD/wk or ~$62.40 USD/yr)

Is that right?

o0o. Im dumb. My mistake. I didnt catch that. LoL
29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pandora's Bitcoin Junction (Shareholders wanted) on: August 14, 2011, 02:27:48 AM
Just to clarify the math...at this moment if the first rig was online it looks like at 1.5 Gh/s you would be doing ~5.5 BTC/wk of which 49% goes as dividends to shareholders which amounts to 2.695 BTC/wk shared among 22050 shares so if I hold 1000 shares (costs me 109 BTC) then I would stand to get 0.12 BTC/wk ($1.20 USD/wk) as a shareholder?

Is my math correct?

It seems correct to me as long as you realize that each share is only 0.109BTC & not 109BTC... HUUUUUUGEE difference Wink

Though PBJ will probably clarify it for you wholly.

Are you going to distribute the mined BTC as a dividend? So that, if I hold 10 out of 45,000 shares,
and your rigs produce about 10 BTC a week, I'm going to earn 0.002 BTC/wk?

So we can rationally value the shares -- please disclose:

a) How many BTC the Company is producing per week
b) Whether the Company retains them (as capital), or somehow distributes them to shareholders?

Great question. Even better response. Im so excited to watch this project grow Smiley

Works great if you promote. Make sure you arent the last. If its consistently growing as bitcat.ch is then there is no fear of loss. My method works great. I have several accounts, all verified, references of each other. Therefore increasing my chances of grabbing random referrals. Increasing my chances of taking the jackpot. & increasing my income as well as paying myself back for initial investments. I have over 18 accounts verified all branched off each other. Now by only round 2 of being in it I have made back my investment & am guaranteed to make more in the rounds to come. I will be set with a consistent flow of BTC trickling in through each account  as well as increase my income by adding more accounts as time goes on. Just know that you cant earn a referral for an account until it is verified. So you need to start with 1 & expand gradually. Ideally if we all work together we all help each other get paid. That being said I hope to see you all there. Heres my LINK:

Well, I doubt that's in the spirit of the game...

Should have considered that fact before putting it out. People will always find an exploit. If everyone was doing what I do then its just a matter of who does it more. Same opportunity all around. Its fair Smiley

The spirit of my game is profit Smiley

Not when the guy that runs Bitcat.ch sees that you're gaming the fuck out of his well-intentioned system.

37  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bit-Syndicate - A Bitcoin Lottery Syndicate [++ chance to win a Bitcoin Lottery] on: August 12, 2011, 11:53:07 PM
Because of the more expensive ticket rate, compared to BitLotto Jr, syndicate members can also purchase a 'share' of a ticket.

Tickets are split into shares. Each share is 1/10th of a ticket (so there are 10 shares per ticket). This allows members to share a whole ticket with other members... meaning more people can join in and reap the benefits of playing lotteries in syndicates.

If you have any questions, ask here or via the other contact methods on the site.

I have a question. What will you do about leftover partial shares. For example. 29 partial shares are purchased. That is 2 tickets & 9/10ths of 1. What will be done about the additional share? Will you just cover the cost of it & enter into the drawing and take the equivalent of the remaining shares. Or will you just return the shares to those who submitted them? Either way great stuff Smiley
