21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All of you Bitcoin Hodlers are mentally ill - *Must Read! on: November 19, 2019, 10:10:40 AM
What is the point of this post, OP? If you don't believe that BTC is the future, why come to BTT to try and tell people about it? Just short BTC and make some money off of us dumb people. That is, if you really know what you're talking about  Grin
22  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the halving a catalyst for a Bitcoin price bubble? on: November 19, 2019, 10:03:17 AM
Look at the graph of halving and at the graph of price on the same timeframes, it will become even more obvious that they do have a connection.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Could Make Bitcoin Drop To $5? on: November 19, 2019, 06:51:29 AM
I was just wondering if it is possible. What event or series of events could crash the price of Bitcoin to $5? What will you do if that happens?
Closing of all exchanges with fiat gateways could. Easy. No fiat liquidity, no way to exchange BTC for fiat money, no way to spend it, no desire to hold it.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless altcoins must remove from the whole crypto market on: November 18, 2019, 04:05:57 PM
You can't just "remove" bad altcoins. If you want to make a difference -- educate people to not fall for any of those scams. When there will be no demand for scam it will naturally die as a whole thing. When people start using their head they will not lose money to shitty projects and the natural selection will kill the bad ones.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Informed is Your Country's Police About Crypto? on: November 18, 2019, 02:58:14 PM
I have an advice for you - stop depending on the police or the state to protect you. Use your head, do your own research. Because ultimately when the police learns about crypto "to fight crime" one of the crimes they will fight is owning crypto. Because they are the part of the state, and states are very-very afraid of crypto, because it can ultimately strip them of their power. Stop being a baby and take your life in your own hands.
26  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are people of today hates learning? on: November 18, 2019, 02:13:10 PM
Have any one try throwing these questions to people of nowadays? (who wants to learn?) the fact is many people don't want to learn, the moment you start trying to teach them one or two things you will see them walking away, lol but if you ask them if they want to earn money they will quickly give you their total attentions or even drag a nearby chair to sit and listen Cheesy Cheesy why are people like this? How will they EARN without LEARNING?  Cheesy this is still affecting many newbies coming into crypto space till date, how will them not get scammed? lol
People are lazy and stupid, I learned this in my first Uni year Smiley The dean called us that way, but only recently I understood the meaning of that. Especially the young people of today. They are addicted to instant gratification and can't pay attention to anything serious. I believe less than 1% of people here actually read Bitcoin whitepaper, yet it is one of the most important white papers of all times. This is where it all started. Seriously though, give it a read, it takes 15 minutes, but it's totally worth it!  Wink
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs really DEAD or simply cleared a path for better projects? on: November 18, 2019, 01:57:01 PM
There is a concept of a new type of ICOs proposed by Vitalik himself -- DAICO -- Decentralized Autonomus ICO. Look it up, pretty neat. I know of one project that actually adopted it and successfully gathered funds using this mechanic. Don't wanna promote them, although you can easily find it in the interwebz. We are yet to see clever concepts like these when the market and audience will be ready. I think that the general concept of ICOs is good, the execution was scammy though Sad Like with many new good things.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges Tokens on: November 18, 2019, 01:38:20 PM
Exchange tokens are generally as scammy as most ICO coins. It is just another way to screw over the audience. BNB is somewhat a better example, but still if you think of the business practices employeb by Binance it becomes obvious that they oppose the decentralized blockchain way. They are just doing business, centralized business for the benefit of the few at the expense of many.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WILL YOU STILL INVEST IN CRYPTO ? on: November 18, 2019, 01:15:31 PM
1. No, unless there is some strong business model and confirmed open-source code on GitHub that is original.
2. DPoS is preferable, something like COSMOS looks good
30  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do people decide to create Cryptocurrencies? on: November 18, 2019, 11:21:51 AM
What spurs up most people is the greed to make their own riches out of the ponzy scam crypto projects that they launch into this space. When it comes to marketing there are equally marketing and promotional platforms that equally don't care about their reputation but the money they make hence launch any scam project into the space. The only cryptocurrency to ever invest in is Bitcoin.
I generally support your point of view however it's important to be reasonably critical of where Bitcoin is heading right now. I agree that at the start this was the only true crypto, but you have to DYOR and understand that it is now governed by a team of developers that don't really do much to make it more rich in usability. Maybe that's for the better, which is arguably true. But don't you think that at least Ethereum is worth something just because of smart contracts? Sure, the numerous erc20 shitcoins issued on Ethereum network are worth nothing, except, maybe, for things like BAT. But Ethereum was a game changer in some way. Still is. What do you think about it?
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins will give in excess of profit in a growing market? on: November 18, 2019, 11:02:04 AM
Honestly I don't think it's worth it go for altcoins in the growing market. You can just go for BTC and fix your profits at some highs. Not a financial advice, just what I would do Smiley
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any mobile games (android/ios) where you can earn crypto while playing? on: November 18, 2019, 10:38:11 AM
Hello community.

I was wondering if there is any free games available on the play store where you can earn some cryptos while playing.🎮👾

I dont care about the amounts ... i just want to grind some free cryptos on my spare time.

If a similar topic has been discussed before just close the thread please

Best regards

EOS Knights is a good example of mobile-first crypto-game.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of Steemit? How much do you earn on Steemit? on: November 18, 2019, 10:11:24 AM
From what I've seen on the Steemfest - the community is awesome, but the future of Steemit is somewhat dark and gloomy =(
It is too centralized and the current community can't do much about it. The company that was developing has decided to switch to some other "new" project and steemit as a platform for Steem is slowly decaying. This is sad but this is how it is Sad
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you holding Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2019, 10:02:01 AM
If you look on the btc-halving/btc-price graphs together you'll see that holding BTC is a process for years but it always pays off.
In this regard this is somewhat like a long-term traditional investment with high volatility in the local timeframes.
But just google the halving graph, you'll see everything clearly.
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin cannot be banned on: November 18, 2019, 09:54:24 AM
It is impossible to stop bitcoin which has a decentralized system, all transactions are recorded on the blockchain and anonym.
Except for just stopping its circulation through government regulations which in my opinion make no sense. But in my opinion it doesn't limit how bitcoin can develop into bigger than it is today.

To be completely fair BTC is not anonymous at all. If the measures aren't taken by an individual to make transactions concealed the whole history can be easily tracked using specialized software, both by companies and individuals. So please don't confuse anyone that it's anonymous, it's pseudonymous. But there's way to make transactions more stealthy by using mixers and other measures, you can read tons of materials about it. Another point is that BTC can be easily stopped by stopping all exchanges that exchange it to fiat currencies, guess I don't have to explain that.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoins for 2020? on: November 18, 2019, 09:37:01 AM
As you stated, BNB has been a profitable coin in 2019 because of the BNB exchange, it is better to invest in BNB. I will however recommend Eth too, even though it has seen a recent downfall, it is still going to be profitable in the next year as many people around the world trust in it. Still BTC is the best as far as going all out safety.
BNB is often hold heavily by traders because they often hold this coin to reduce transaction fees. In addition, BNB has many functions such as investing in IEO or participating in Lending making this coin is very valuable at this time. I think that with what happened, the possibility of a $100 coin is very high and this is the best investment in this period.
Beside, Bitcoin is the coin that you should hold in this market because this is the coin that can determine the next trend of this market.

Sadly the altcoin market is dominated by cantralized coins such as USDT and BNB. But BNB really has a very strong power behind it, so I guess you're right. It's funny though that you mention BTC in altcoin thread Smiley
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners now is your chance on: November 12, 2019, 11:34:27 AM
I guess it is always right to buy an altcoin when you are investing in the right project. To be safe invest in at least the top 10 altcoins for sure those coins will surely recover on a red market. Don't risk on new altcoin which is suspicious and possibly scam. Find active and unique projects, active teams attending conferences and similar stuff.
Wow, solid tactic Smiley))
Are you sure that just blindly picking top 10 is good enough? This showed to be not the best tactic multiple times in the last year for sure. I'm merely exploring the way people think on BTT at this point, so I'll be glad to see some solid arguments for or against a certain method/tactic.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners now is your chance on: November 12, 2019, 11:04:52 AM
With good news surrounding every corner of crypto space now it does feels like 2020 will be the very year altcoin lovers have been waiting for but there is no assurance that this is 100% true, my advice is to hold on to very useful altcoins and get rid of the rest
I wonder what's your method on determining the "useful" altcoins  Wink
