21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: June 14, 2020, 01:06:10 PM
No token can have the price only in an upward direction, price swing are an integral part of any coin. Deflationary Tokens prices are low and it's good to buy coins at cheap rates. The problem is we find too many anomalies in coin when its at a low price and start buying when it goes up.
If there are tokens that always move only in the upward direction, then everyone will get rich quickly, especially traders and investors who buy in large quantities, normally the tokens that already have good or expensive value at this time are tokens that used to be also cheap, there are no tokens that are expensive when born.

Thats what I am saying. Deflationary tokens are cheap today and their future is yet to come. Why not reserve some space for them in our portfolio rather than buying them tomorrow when they are bullish.

Its a good opportunity for new people like me to try this bounty. I have created an account, so far only twitter bounty is unlocked. I got a reward for sharing posts on twitter. I will try other programs also.

Deflationary tokens are a new idea and gaining lots of attention from crypto investors. There are many such tokens in the market, I have gathered a few BOOM in my list. Invest in such tokens for short term don't HODL them. Thats my strategy so far for deflationary tokens.

Good to see mining projects where new comers like me can join and mine the coin. BTC mining is closed for new comers. I hope this will gain good price once listed on exchange. Good luck.

Do you supply cannabis only in countries where it's legal or regardless of the legal status you also supply?

Do you have any real-world use case or it's just another payment system token?
Moreover, you have only one member in the team where are others?

This is addressing one key drawback of bitcoin and ethereum i.e. data privacy. Our company have suffered a lot because of this loophole in bitcoin and ethereum blockchain. Using MPC solves the issue of privacy while not impacting the scalability.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MASS] Decentralized HARD DRIVE mining cryptocurrency | PoC | Low Energy cost on: March 06, 2020, 07:02:08 PM
During the initialization phase, a series of data is generated according to the protocol and is saved in the storage capacity. When a new block is to be generated, a part of this stored data is revealed based on the value of a random number. This data is then used to generate a proof, and the node is able to compete for the next block. The process consists of five stages: initialisation, block building, block reception, main chain selection, and punishment mechanism. (Source)

I can see that this consensus algorithm can solve the issues of scalability (since this all won't take much time) and security. Rest admin can you explain how this can help in achieving decentralization?
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MASS] Decentralized HARD DRIVE mining cryptocurrency | PoC | Low Energy cost on: March 06, 2020, 12:59:05 PM
Check out their punishment mechanism, it's simple compared to PoW/PoS.

Punishment mechanism
If the miner receives two block headers containing the same proof and the same height, it proves that the miner is mining in multiple forked chains. Then the miner builds a punishment proposal in the coinbase transaction, which contains two different block headers and outputs a punished pk.
If this block is added to the main chain, then all miners extract blacklist from the main chain and add this pk to the local blacklist

Nodes use storage capacity to run the consensus protocol and do not require permission. The MASS consensus engine is fair and energy efficient; only a very small amount of computing resources are required, meaning everyone has the chance to participate. MASS Docs

This is very innovative.
We only need hard disk on our computer to start mining, no ASIC, no expensive graphic card.
Whoever thought that mining can be done in that way?

I have seen many Youtube Like sites on blockchain like d.tube and dlive.tv . Of course they are in early stages, but the point is crypto community should come forward and do there part in making such startups a success. As it's in best of our interests to have a decentralized data ecosystem where no one can abuse the data we generate.

Is there any way we can create a thread where nobody can reply. like there are videos of YouTube where nobody can comment.

Hello everyone. I have two questions

1) can we change the email address associated with our account or its not possible after you sign up?

2) is there any rough guess of how many users are there on bitcointalk.org

Thanks
