there is a detailed manual for the mining coins at the pool? for windows when you run the file optipool.exe gives an error, the computer is missing a file api-ms-win-crt-math-1-1-0.dll. how to fix? windows 8.1 put optipool bismuth in the folder, still not working what should be the configuration file?
Optipool and optiminer are unsupported and experimental. They are the tools I personally use and I was asked to publish the code. The python script version will run on python3.5 with all the same deps and requirements as the default miner and should be run from the main Bismuth folder. The windows exe was compiled on windows 10. It runs on my machine but again I cannot guarantee it will run on yours. If in doubt always run the default miner. The config.txt lines that are relevant: mining_ip=94.113.207.67 mining_pool=1 pool_address=4edadac9093d9326ee4b17f869b14f1a2534f96f9c5d7b48dc9acaed

Statement made by myself on Bismuth slack - https://cryptobismuth.slack.com - In respect of a recent scam maccaspacca 9:07 PM Unfortunately I have been unable to contact or get any response from @cypth1 in respect of a trade for Bismuth with another member of this slack. It appears that BTC was sent to @cypth1 and he did not send the bismuth to the buyer. I must assume therefore that cypth1 scammed BTC using his supposed reputation in this slack. I have therefore banned him from this forum. Please if you wish to trade Bismuth - Do Not Trust Anyone and use escrow to complete the transaction Thanks Macca

If you are mining there is a trade off on cpu threads between the node and the miner. If you have too many threads on the miner then the node may not have enough cpu to keep connections and chain in synch (and vice versa) you need to experiment a little to get the right balance.

I also participated in the test, but i do not know there are rewards, I did not retain the address when replacing the installed version, which is the address left by my 2.614 test! 682c3c5972f9b66e8836be76935e44ffe2d1ee14204603248185dbb7 9a2c70e8cf12ab2a612338a5697cab06c92253049b95b93d4bc006d8 e4bc1b58399d79cedfe11fb347c1b3168842403c065bc77371e7a3bf 9487dfd49d3bec1c23369902cf22b312b39c322d91d128c65bcb23ef I have looked at the testnet blockchain and indeed all those addresses did mine and win blocks on testnet.

This is silly. I'm struggling just to keep my client up to date with the blockchain.
I still never got an answer how to backup my wallet to save the few blocks I managed to mine yesterday. But it might not matter as I'm getting the notion it's not worth it.
If this coin is ever fixed, it better relaunch.
Just backup your privatekey.der (like you backup wallet.dat of other wallets) Backup privkey.der AND pubkey.der - both are needed.

Bismuth Tools now updated and published in new repository https://github.com/maccaspacca/BismuthToolsFor the moment I am only publishing a desktop version future releases may have (depending on time and core code changes) 1. Better menus and help system 2. More wallet features and possibly node and miner functions 3. Network information 4. Logging features

Important
Just to let everyone know that due to the changes in the latest release both the desktop and web versions of my Bismuth tools no longer work.
I have withdrawn the repository on github so I can undertake a rebuild of the tools whilst at the same time make some security improvements.
I will inform you all once I have released the new versions.

I really want to have a Ubuntu system installation guide, I like this coin, but my system is Ubuntu, I can not run him. I think there are a lot of people with me.
If you are installing the dependencies on Ubuntu, you need to install as 'sudo' example commands include; sudo apt install python-pip sudo pip install pillow pyqrcode pypng pyinstaller web.py pycrypto simple-crypt sudo apt-get install python-tk I have a node running on Ubuntu 16.04 and the executable successfully compiles (at least on my machine) using pyinstaller --onefile --log-level=INFO node.py --icon=graphics\icon.ico At some point (if I have time) I might write a guide for running on Ubuntu.

I have combined my Ledger and Miner Query website tools together in to one web application. https://github.com/maccaspacca/Bismuth-ToolsThere is a compiled release for those who do not have python installed (windows only) I have tested on 64 bit Win 7 and Win 10 but can't guarantee if will work on all systems My next project is to develop a gui version for desktop use.... if I have time

If anyone wants to play around with my Stallion Ledger Query tool then it is available at: https://github.com/maccaspacca/Stallion-Tools/tree/master/Ledger_QueryJust place the files in your Stallion folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Stallion) and run "ledger_query.cmd" as administrator If you want a stand alone executable (for those without Python installed) then go to https://github.com/maccaspacca/Stallion-Tools/releases/tag/v0.20-betaThe executable is in the zip file - extract and place the .exe into your stallion folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Stallion) and run as administrator. Once running just browse to "your_computer_ip_address":8080 to use the tool. The default port of 8080 can be changed either in the "ledger_query.cmd" script if you are running the python version or running: ledger_query.exe:<your_port> from an administrative command prompt. Future releases will work on the look, feel and formatting.

After some time of running node stop to sync, but miner working, but dont find a block. Restart helps. Tested to send coins to myself and feeling like nothing happens but after some time just transactions appears, its confusing.
I have had a similar issue on a lower resourced machine I tested a few scenarios and discovered, in my case, the problem was allocating too many threads to the miner.exe You need to leave some resources for the node.exe - it doesn't want to compete with the miner.exe threads I wrote a monitoring tool that I used to check the node and automatically restart things if they get behind. I discovered that the problem was reduced and then eliminated if I reduced the number of mining threads - each system will be different so you may need to experiment a little. The number of threads is set in the config.txt file. I would start with the number of cpu cores your machine has, minus 1 core e.g. if your machine has 4 cores set the threads to 3. If you have two cores set the threads to 1. Hope this helps
