22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Know the Next PEPE on: June 03, 2023, 10:34:05 PM
Well for any project that want to have a sustainable market flows and build a good ecosystem for the coin, most take note of the mentioned factors that supply them with liquidities that will keep them in the market for a long, just as you have rightly said community participation is the first liquidity provider for the coin and to get the coin exposed to a wider market it need a calculative partnership this may be, exchanges and other service providers are the best partners to look out for. Ee

Well said. But do you think exchange partnership is superior to individual partnership in crypto?
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How to Know the Next PEPE on: June 03, 2023, 10:20:04 PM
In 2021 i wrote an article on medium and created a YT tutorial on how to spot a memecoin project that will become something.
From that teaching, here are the two key factors to look out for.

1. Community:

It is community that gives speculative value to memecoin. So, the bigger and the cult-like a community is the better. It shows alot of the community will buy and create hype for the project.

2. Strategic Partnerships:

How is associated with the memecoin? If it's a notable influencer like Elon Musk, it'll moon.

Therefore in researching the next memecoin project to degen in, these factors should be your priority.

What other factors do you think influence memecoin projects?
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US economy in recession? on: July 29, 2022, 05:02:46 PM
The economic data of the US is clearly showing a two consecutive negative GDP growth rate. While some analysts believe that the economy is in a recession, economic advisers are saying there is no major decline in economic activities.

And both are right, one of the conditions of technical recessions (as not everybody agrees with the 2 quarters period) has been met while on the other hand there are different signs that economic activity is not really declining with more and more jobs being added and taken and with the US finally inches away from reaching pre covid levels of employment:

Quote
The labor force participation rate, at 62.2 percent, and the employment-population ratio, at 59.9 percent, were little changed over the month. Both measures remain below their February 2020 values (63.4 percent and 61.2 percent, respectively)

So it will come down to definitions, the easy one has been already met, and the more complicated one, like NBER is using not yet, and of course, for every Republicans we're already in a recession and for every Democrat, things are going great.
To add more complications to this, even if the decline was 0.9%, a 4-5% decline wouldn't have raised any questions as things were clear.

What are the core elements of a recession?

Unemployment, consumption expenditure, manufacturing, retail, and trade sales.
When they all go down, you clearly are in a recession.

Yes, we can say recession at this level is not severe because it's inflation that is fueling it. But, it becomes severe when other data signalling decline in economic activities.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US economy in recession? on: July 29, 2022, 04:25:08 PM
Slow job growth in the private sector, low consumer spending, low wage increases, among other things.

Some of these are lagging indicators. You've seen hiring slow down, but job layoffs and unemployment won't happen contemporaneous to the GDP reports. The economy is generally slow moving unless there's market shock. Anyone suggesting that the U.S. economy is not in recession will point out these lagging indicators which will eventually catch up to capture the true state of the U.S. economy. They won't have these numbers to rely on for long.

Yes, I think the two negative consecutive GDP growth rate is a symptom of recession.

27  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHAT EVENT DO YOU THINK WILL USHER BTC INTO THE NEXT BULLRUN? on: June 21, 2022, 07:55:17 PM
1. Do you think such prediction models are realistic?

2. What major event do you think will usher BTC and the entire industry into the next bullrun?

3. Do you think Microstragy purchasing large units of btc will influence the price?
• Yes, price prediction can be built on realistic assessment. This of course does not mean the price would reflect the expectations of any model, but it's possible to build your model on sound technical and fundamental analysis.
The idea of having a model to mirror the price at every stage is impossible, but you can have something similar at different points.

• Who knows? The only certain future event in relation to Bitcoin is the halving, besides that no one can predict what would happen.

• Not really. Big institutions purchasing Bitcoin is a positive and can influence trader sentiment, but it's already so popular that no singular purchase should have a big impact on the price.

You mean if Tesla should buy more btc today it'll reflect on the general market massively?
28  Economy / Speculation / WHAT EVENT DO YOU THINK WILL USHER BTC INTO THE NEXT BULLRUN? on: June 17, 2022, 04:35:08 PM
There are many prediction models that predict the price of bitcoin. One of the famous models is the Plan B stock-to-flow model. It is predicted that BTC would reach $100k before the end of the year.

Here is what I want to know the view of the community about.

1. Do you think such prediction models are realistic?

2. What major event do you think will usher BTC and the entire industry into the next bullrun?

3. Do you think Microstragy purchasing large units of btc will influence the price?

Some are of the opinion that sovereign funds and institutions will buy at discount. Well, what do you think?

yes, from how things are unfolding NFT will be one of the building blocks of the metaverse.

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why you will be left behind if you don’t learn NFT. on: February 02, 2022, 09:23:50 AM
Is it you who is on the video? Great job on spreading knowledge with NFT. I like how you showed the life cycle of NFTs, and I hope there was some kind of a timeline into which it shows the longevity with a fundamental basis on how long it can be.

Anyway, I think the NFT markets are still emerging, and not everyone is yet coming or applying it to their industries. I think it could help prove stuff and be more transparent with anything and traceable.

Yes, thanks for the comment. I am the one on the video. Trenndify is my channel, i teach crypto , especially how to avoid risk while making money in crypto.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why you will be left behind if you don’t learn NFT. on: January 29, 2022, 06:56:17 AM
NFT is not a must and of course you will not left behind if you didn't know it since the majority of the people in the world still don't know or use NFT. NFT is a breakthrough technology for arts, games and collection industry but still there's always a pros and cons when using especially for the valuation of NFT's. Just like DeFi, It is just a seasonal trend and maybe in the future it will become obsolete due to new much better technology. The only it was become a hype is due to the insane valuation of some NFT which is due to price manipulation.

Imagine a scenario where instead of acquiring a college degree from Harvard University, which we all know that college degree do not teach real skills. What if you undergo a mentorship from people like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Gary Vey and the proof is not certificate but an NFT?

I see that NFT will become a great deal in the future. However, this is just starting.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why you will be left behind if you don’t learn NFT. on: January 29, 2022, 06:53:04 AM
NFTs are good but I personally like the NFT games.

But about owning these art NFTs, they're expensive for me.

I'd say that NFTs are good if you know what you're buying. Yet, I've realized that nothing beats holding and buying the top cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and Ethereum.

If it's between them, I'll be happy to sell these NFTs for btc and eth.

I think NFT and Cryptocurrencies are two asset classes. The motivation or reason for buying NFT may not be the reason for buying a cryptocurrency. To me, a great artwork purchased as an NFT could have a great upside in the future.

However, as a market participant investing in crypto and NFT is an excellent way to diversify.

I do have a question for you? Why do you prefer NFT games to normal NFT?
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / why you will be left behind if you don’t learn NFT. on: January 29, 2022, 06:37:37 AM
why you will be left behind if you don’t learn NFT.

Most people can’t tell the difference between NFT and JPEG.

NFT actually make you to really own an asset.

The asset is verifiable on blockchain.

Well, why NFT is an emerging trend, it will have many applications.

But, how do you make money from NFT?

I have explained the 3 ways to make money from NFT in this video.

Watch it and ask questions.

35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Role of BTC in the metaverse? on: December 01, 2021, 04:47:10 PM
I have been thinking about this for sometimes.

If the metaverse becomes a reality, what will be the significant roles of crypto in its economy?

If crypto such as bitcoin, Mana, Sand are used as means of transaction in the metaverse what will be the reaction of the government?
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risk in Crypto Assets Portfolio on: October 07, 2021, 11:20:17 AM
Thank you.

Stop loss and take profit options should really be helpful to minimize the risk and maximise the profit in either trading or holding.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Risk in Crypto Assets Portfolio on: October 07, 2021, 09:36:23 AM
I have seen there whatever has a huge upside also has a huge downside. This is the case with crypto currency, including bitcoin.

Can we point out the risks that one faces in investing crypto assets based on these:

1. As a retail investor

2. As an asset manager (hedge fund business)

3. As a trader.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to Earn While Holding Crypto Assets on: September 22, 2021, 04:45:46 PM
When talking about "staking" bitcoin through platforms like BlockFi: take note that you're handing over custody over your funds. If the platform gets in trouble security wise, then you're in for a rough ride[1].

When talking about yield farming and staking with DeFi: You have the risks of impermanent loss[1], and you also could potentially lose your money if the platform gets exploited.

[2] https://medium.com/coinmonks/understanding-impermanent-loss-9ac6795e5baa

Regarding impermanent loss is loss due to the volatility or fluctuation of the market. What I have come to understand is that volatility can also be a positive thing as the price of the crypto asset could rise in his favour.

While we have an impermanent loss, we also have impermanent gains...
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / How to Earn While Holding Crypto Assets on: September 22, 2021, 02:23:06 PM
I have been trying to research ways to earn while holding a crypto asset portfolio.

The results i found include; Yield farming and staking.

1. I want the house to throw light on how this works.

2. What are the factors to consider when choosing yield farming platforms?

3. How profitable is yield Farming and staking? Does it really worth it?

40  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you determine which cryptos to buy during this dip? on: September 21, 2021, 12:25:53 PM
While price and volume are good factors to consider in investing in altcoin, it is also good to consider how volatile the prices are. This will help to determine if they dip how fast they will recover. A coin like that is BNB.
