21  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph suspended my account without valid reason on: April 27, 2020, 08:23:19 AM
That sounds really fishy tho. Did the amount going to and from your account is huge? They might have their suspicions with the whereabouts of those funds but then again I am not sure it is ethical to suspend your account without providing you a definite reason. Though there are users that have millions in their coins.ph accounts but did not undergo such thing i.e. suspension of their account. Isn't there anything that they said aside  from asking for your identification and financial proof that you might've missed that could provide you a clue as to what it is? Have you received or sent a fund on an online betting website?

Also, I am curious whether will they give their users a chance withdraw their funds if ever their account is banned? What will they do with the money if not?
22  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency - fiat currency on: April 27, 2020, 08:01:56 AM
Even so, millions and millions worth have been stolen and moved around by corrupt governors so far, without leaving a trace, through fiat and gold, using diplotatic bags or whatnot, so it’s not like a (traceable and semi-anonymous) blockchain based solution would necessarily deem a better solution for them.
Exactly. And see my point in the post above.

"Does bitcoin encourage illegal activities?" Did these corrupt politicians not launder/steal/move/take bribes/etc. before bitcoin? Was every politician completely honest until bitcoin came along? If bitcoin were to disappear tomorrow, would all these politicians suddenly become completely honest again? Of course not. A tiny proportion of illegal activities take place using bitcoin, and none of them solely take place because of bitcoin.

Saying that one of the downsides of bitcoin is that criminals can use it is the same as saying that one of the downsides of the internet is that terrorists can use it.
Exactly! I find it nonsense when they go down with this argument. It is as if that fiats aren't also a tool to be used by the these said criminal activities which in fact involves way more money than what it is in BTC or any other cryptocurrencies. What should be done is to implement effective policies with regards to the use of cryptocurrencies rather than rejecting it completely because believe it or not, it would not minimize the criminal activities they are pertaining to. Fiats have a lot of disadvantages too and I don't need to enumerate what are those but we didn't abolish it but rather come up with effective policies to counter these and I hope that they would do so likewise in cryptocurrencies.

Though I believe that these new policies would not weaken the purpose of BTC at its essence but rather provide punishment to those people who would find ways around the law because of the outdated policies.
23  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Selling PREMIUM PLAN NETFLIX on: April 27, 2020, 07:51:53 AM

30 days po yung netflix kada subscription to be precise. Kapag gusto niyo po gumamit sa ibang device, pwede niyo po gamitin yung same profile as long as walang nagamit sa ibang devices.

24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price to hit $400k a prediction by an analyst *face palm* on: April 26, 2020, 06:00:00 AM
Dave the Wave the analyst who this article author claims correctly predicted last years bitcoin crash, has made a wild speculation again this time as he claims that Bitcoin prices will hit $400k which is an absurd prediction in my personal opinion. Further the author of this article wants us to believe that just because Dave got it right once he’ll get it right again, and I do hope that newbies don’t fall for such gimmicks and avoid making investment decisions based on such analysts views.

Quote

In the crypto world, Dave the Wave’s predictions always carry significant weight. This is after he predicted in July last year that BTC would enter a parabolic downtrend, and Bitcoin price fell from $11,600 to $6,425 as he predicted.

With Dave the Wave’s previous prediction coming true in the past, this lends credence to this forecast.

Author is a newbie first he claims it’s a reliable prediction, and then goes on to questioning it :
Quote

As to how BTC would increase to these prices remains a mystery, especially for greenhorns in the industry. However, it is not the first time Bitcoin hikes by a seemingly unthinkable amount.

Source:

https://www.cryptopolitan.com/btc-price-to-hit-400k-dave-the-wave/
There is always a possibility especially that the market is very unpredictable but the chance for bitcoin price to reach 400k$ is very less especially if we will be talking like 1-3 years from  now. The market will increase and decrease anytime as this is how the market works from the start therefore increasing that much cannot be achieve easily.

That price can be achieve only if the demand will focus on bitcoin and other currencies will be left behind or the demand of crypto will be spread all over the globe like 80-90% of the countries are open to bitcoin usage which is very difficult to happen.
Maybe we'll see in 2022 if his predicted price would come true because $400k is massive amount no matter who you ask in the cryptoworld. Though the price of BTC is very unpredictable and even the people in the past would not have expected that it would go this much as what the current price is. Well 2029 is very far and a lot of things would unfold so let's see if the prediction is a total nonsense or if it would happen. But I find it more useful if we talk about the prices more in a not-so-far into the future because talking about $400k in nine years today doesn't make any much of a sense in my opinion.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ignorance in trading on: April 23, 2020, 07:11:02 AM
Normally in Trading those who know do not speak, and those who speak do not know. This is extremely useful because it shows you all the things you need to avoid before reaching success. Any layman who looks at a graph concludes that trading has to be considerably easy, and that is part of the attraction. At the end of the day, anyone can look at a graph and clearly see entry and exit points. However, it is much harder to do it in real time. There is a tendency to want to buy at the lowest and never leave the trade even if it drops further. If that happens, a rookie will continue the trade with the hope that it will rise again, it is just an example of how the lack of education and discipline plunges most market operators.
This sounds like people who bought BTC because they heard that a lot of people had been making huge sums of money just by sitting at home or whatever without properly educating themselves first with the risks that it holds. Then they would complain that it is scam or some sort which is their fault in the first place.

I remember a user here on my thread saying that it trading is very easy like you just buy and sell which is quiet misleading in some sense especially if you suggest it to a newbie. It takes time, research and the experience that you will accumulate as you familiarize yourself with the market. The challenge is not on the act of buying and selling but predicting where the price would go whether up or down, green or red. Making yourself up to date with the news circulating around which affects the price movement along with some technical analysis which I don't usually used nor that familiar with it.
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people run away from trading!!! on: April 22, 2020, 08:43:04 AM
People run away from trading is because they are afraid to get the same experience that they got before. They get trauma from the last trade, which gives a loss to them so they think that they cannot trade with the right. Sometimes, it's not because they lack information or they cannot get the right information about the coin but sometimes the feeling of fear to get the loss will make them not to trade. They feel that it is hard to analyze the coin and when they can enter the market.

New people in trading comes to the market because they see how fast someone can make a profit, but they don't know how to make that profit. That makes them have a big imagination about how they can make a profit, but they don't learn more about trading. Some of them have greediness to always make a profit from the market, which they will not always make because the market is too volatile. They don't remember that anything can happen with the crypto market, so they don't sell as soon as the price increase, but they have a hope that the price will increase more then they will sell the coins.
That's exactly what I heard that had happened way back in 2017 where the price of BTC had reached an ATH of around $20000 and there are a couple of months prior to that just to sell their BTC even a portion of it and I remember my friend's regret when he just hold all of his BTC and came the price crashing down. Still hoping that it would rise and the price crash is temporary, he continues to hold and that's another mistake because it continue to crash for months and he never get his profit back. That is so sad because I knew that deep inside there is this rational thinking but with emotions and greed, a person would neglect the rationality of the situation.

I just started trading and so far so good. Been reading and learning a lot. Emotions can quiet be a challenge for you but you just need to look at the data that is in front of you and act accordingly unless you want to lose your money which is a simple mindset but effective.
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Olypm trade a scam? on: April 21, 2020, 10:52:01 AM
Hello, everyone! Guys, please help me determine the platform on which to trade bitcoins or others. Huh I'm just getting started on this issue and I need your help. My friends who are encouraging me to do this are trading at Olymp Trade. Can you please tell me if this platform is worth contacting, is it reliable?
Never heard much about Olymp Trade but I did a quick look with it and it seems like you can also trade stock with it but I am curious as which would you interested to trade. If it is mostly BTC and other cryptocurrencies then I suggest to find a better exchange with good volume and convenient for you to use. I just started trading and I use Binance mostly because of their mobile app tho you can use API. You may want to check coinmarketcap.com to see a list of top exchange and you may search furthermore about their details and user feedbacks.

If you wish to use Binance you may use my referral ID which is 40357227. It is up to you if you want to or not. Always do your research first and understand the risk of trading. And also, double check the website you are visiting since there are identical sites carrying the name of these well-known exchange like okex for example (refer to this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5241282.0).
28  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance vs Coinbase Pro on: April 21, 2020, 10:36:58 AM
Most newbie do not have any idea about Binance. Most of them heard about about coinbase at the beginning. Moreover, fiat availability can be another factor for that. Maybe coinbase pro offer more available fiat deposit option than Binance.
I don't think so. I'm a newbie tho and never heard much of coinbase. Maybe because of the country I am from since we have a major local exchange which have a license with the central bank and no serious competitors that's why most of people here purchase their BTCs there. I am starting to trade now and learning in the process. I mostly heard about Binance and that's where I trade now and what I like about it the most is their mobile application which is very convenient for me along with many other features. I may check coinbase pro out of curiosity and people are pointing out that there are much better options out there with what I have read so far in this thread.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: April 21, 2020, 10:30:36 AM
I think they both have their own ways of being better than the other. Bitcoin is really good in the sense that it gives us complete freedom over our money and transactions we make.

There are huge transactions that you can make with Bitcoin, there isn’t any limit as far as I know, because I have seen someone that transacted up to $1 billion dollars and had no difficulties in doing that. And I’m very sure they did that with a little fee that is more than ten times smaller than what they would have paid if they were making use of a bank. Bitcoin is very good, and bank also has its own ways of being better than Bitcoin as well. We might be in a world where will be needing the both of them. There are people who can’t use Bitcoin, because they don’t have internet.
I strongly believe as well that BTC would not truly takeover fiat or banks but rather it exist for us to have more options in doing transactions base on how convenient it could be for us that's why I don't get it with people arguing what's best and not. There are perks in using BTC as we know it as well as fiat having multiple practical uses compared to the volatility that BTC has. It is much easier to talk about pricing certain goods in terms of fiat and it is a matter of what mode of payment to use.

Having more choices, in my opinion, is freedom.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Demand for Bitcoin online courses explodes by 300% on: April 13, 2020, 05:03:33 AM
This can help in the adoption of bitcoin but moreover the issues on crisis still at large. Even with lots of people wanted to learn, we cant deny that the problem still persist.

Traders and investors of btc are surely gone low and decreased even with this great news, well we cant really do something to prevent it as people needed cash to supply necessary things for this locked down.

Hoping that the market could survive this mess. Im well supporting the advocation of learning, hope even without this covid issue the rate would continue to increase for those people who are interested to learn.
At the very least, a spike of people who want to learn BTC would yield its result in the long run. Although it would not reflect on the BTC's price right away considering the factor that you had mentioned but in this time of crisis where the economy of the countries across the world is burdened by the this pandemic then people might reconsider to store some of their wealth in BTC. Of course those who are on middle class and lower would surely withdraw their BTC if the quarantine is dragged for a long time.
31  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty choosing a trading platform on: April 11, 2020, 06:02:21 AM
For me, aside from the one mentioned above of how to choose the best trading platform, I would pick that would be convenient to use. Since I want not all the time I am on my PC then it would be great to use a trading platform that has a mobile application which I can monitor anytime and anywhere. I am searching right now on what fits me especially the interface if it is beginner friendly along with the fees and so on and so forth.
32  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Need suggestions on: April 11, 2020, 05:07:37 AM
We're on the same boat, I am also a college student who is searching for something productive na pwedeng gawin during the Enhanced Community Quarantine, but before anything else I would to share with you what method that works for me para hindi maging stagnant yung pera in the long run.

[1] LENDING SECTION HERE (Mores Funds Available - Wanted Borrowers! - I am also one of the lender in our community and I am doing this to hit 2 birds with one stone. Nagpapautang ako to help other filipino members who needs financial assistance at natutulungan ako nito in a way na bumabalik sa akin yung loan at a given date and loan interest. Commonly, 1 month yung loan duration with 10% interest. You can lend PHP as well as the other cryptocurrency like BTC, XRP, and ETH.

PROS:
  • You can earn doing nothing pero natutulungan mo sarili mo at yung ibang tao
If ever na tumaas yung exchange rate ng particular crypto at tapos na yung loan duration + the 10% loan interest (in crypto din of course) sobrang laking profit niyan.

CONS:
  • This is very boring and may cause you tremendous anxiety if hindi kaya ng risk appetite mo.
  • It'll take so much toll sa side ng borrower if tumaas ang exchange rate, chances are hindi niya fully mababayaran yung loan niya and it may take few months bago ma-fully settled yung loan

[2] Invest mainly on BTC or ETH. Cryptocurrency is a very speculative asset that is why there is a greater risk if you are not knowledgeable in this field particularly in Technical Analysis (T.A) or Fundamental Analysis (F.A) in trading. Do your own research and decide at your own discretion kung bibili ka ba or hindi. But if I were to be ask, okay pa din bumili ng BTC if you are considering for a long term hold probably 10 yrs from now. Who knows!!

[3] Additional lang sa sites na binigay ni @Bttzed03, you can also do some online works such as;
Remotasks - this is too complicated to explain pero you can spend your time doing task and get paid. This is an online work so be ready with your paypal kasi ayan ung method of payment nila. Explore mo yan and legit yan. I've known many people who's using it.

You can also explore these 2 websites if you have the skills

https://www.freelancer.com/
https://www.onlinejobs.ph/

OR offer some of your Services here. If you have the skill of being a programmer you can post it there may mga naghahanap ng tao don. More likely mag invest ka sa skills mo kasi ayan ung marketable ngayon and in-demand as well. Just like @cabalism13 said you can sell some crypto merchandise in our Pamilihan Section pati din don sa services.

In my case, nag ooffer ako ng [SERVICE]Charcoal and Graphite Portrait Drawings and nag accept ako ng crpyto for a portrait drawing.

[4] Parehas tayong student and investing in PAG-IBIG is good and logical move if icoconsider mo yung suggestion ni @LogitechMouse. Futhermore, you can use your time para ieducate yung sarili mo in other investment vehicle such as trading. Daming nagsuggest niyan kasi isa talaga yan to make your money work for you.. But then it can be very risky if you don't know the idea or concept of trading. There are lot of resources in the internet so DYOR.

Fortunately, keeping your days become productive in Quarantine is a good way to dispose your time. I made a thread before na pwede mong idownload to educate yourself about bitcoin and blockchain technology.

[RESOURCES] Free bitcoin/blockchain/finance eBook.

You can also read some of the GUIDES made by other filipino members here. Ginawan ko ng compilation.

[INDEX] Informative threads in our local section - baka may mapulot kang information. Meron din diyan tutorial about trading, so explore mo lang ng mabuti.
Salamat! Sobrang helpful nito. It saves me time to browse threads. Atsaka ang ganda nung artworks mo, keep it up! Maybe I'll try trading since it piqued my interest. Medjo nag-aalalangan kasi ako sa lending.

Hey there! I'm a student and had saved some money around five digits in pesos.

Useful thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5238582.0
Pero pag magsusugal ka, how can you say na nag-iinvest ka? No offense po kasi I read din po na kinoconsider ng iba na investment yung gambling pero I think when you gamble ginagawa mo yun for fun and not to earn kasi it is a matter of chances. But investing in a casino, yung bibigay mo yung pera mo like a loan or what then I consider it as an investment in my own opinion.

I genuinely want to know. Is it probability?

Ano yung Pag-ibig MP2?
Magdedeposit ka sa kanila (maybe to help grow their funds since naglelend sila) then you'll earn dividends from it.
5 years maturity period nyan at pwede yata hulugan. I think minimum remittance sa kanila is P500 only.
More details: https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/Membership_ModifiedPagIBIG2.html

To OP, investing on Pag-ibig is a safe way to go since government-owned sya, safe yung ipinasok mong pera. I wouldn't suggest you go on Trading cryptocurrencies unless you know what you're doing.
I read about PAG-IBIG MP2 yesterday at maganda nga siyang investment. Maybe after quarantine itatry ko siya since magpepay ka lang sa kanila monthly and kaya ko naman magtabi every month ng minimum na halaga which is 500 if I remember correctly.

Thank you po sa concern and I am doing what I can para mafamiliarize in cryptocurrency in general.

https://satoshinakamotov.com/topic/63-adventicus-latus-diari/

First rule:
Medjo skeptical po kasi ako sa mga bagay bagay kaya if it's "too good to be true" we should start questioning whether this is legit or not.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we heading in a Sucker Rally ? on: April 10, 2020, 05:27:34 AM
I do think instead of a Sucker Rally it is the economic situation affecting Bitcoins and the decrease in volume is directly related to people being scared to loose money when there isn't any during the Pandemic. Instead of a Sucker Rally maybe we are in a constant state where the buying and selling percentage is close to being equal.
I think people aren't scared to lose their money and in fact during a Pandemic, people would look for a platform or ways to secure the money they have by buying gold or BTC for example.

Also the money that the Author talks about in the Article is indeed a huge amount but considering the fact that in the US alone the Death margin is at all time high and people are being infected + Reinfected by the virus , It is not skeptical that all the money might be used in the healthcare + decreasing the prices of common commodities.
This made much more sense. In my country, we are under quarantine as well as some other parts of the world which means that most of the people's income was diminished or simply none. Most people nowadays just releasing their money buying stuff that they need with their income not keeping with their expenditures.
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimum coin to begin trading? on: April 10, 2020, 05:16:20 AM
i recommend you to start in small amount maybe 30k satoshi and up if you are newbie in trading world.. in me i star in 50k satoshi and then when i learn how to trade i spend $30  plus my bounty profit..

A trader should always start with a low amount because it will help us to find basic techniques about trading, in many cases, we might lose money, so low amount is always good to start trading. With your investment, you need to keep track of your emotions and this way, you might learn new things in trading.

It is good to start with a low amount but what you are saying is wrong.

It is like you are saying that these newbies or beginners should start low and experiment with it and just based on the experience that they have in the process which is wrong since you are just like gambling. Better come prepared, not just physically, mentally but also financially. I don't usually suggest cryptocurrency as an investment since there are a lot of other platforms or mobile trading applications where you can just follow a trader or an investor but still, it is better if you will be able to analyze your own trades and investments, right?
I don't get it. Isn't it better to start trading with "a low amount" to accumulate experiences through time? Because if you start to trade big and you haven't even applied what you have learned (if there are) then it simply is just gambling. Doing this is a "preparation." As they say, higher risk yields to higher profit or loss which we can apply in cryptocurrency and I think we can both agree to that.

Buy bitcoin and wait until it moons?  Grin

Seriously, you can buy bitcoin now because it's way cheaper that where it was before this COVID-19 became a global pandemic. Despite the price volatility, you can still profit if you hold it for long term. Remember that this is only a suggestion and not a financial advice. Follow at your own risk.
But I think it is a bit late kasi plano ko bumili nung below 300k sana siya. Should I wait na magdip ulit or bili na ko ngayon kasi tingin hindi pa time na bumili ulit e.

If you have other skills, you can try some online gigs that pays in crypto. Check out these platforms:
Will check this out thanks!

Grin Pretty amazaing that you already know these stuffs.
I've read the pinned posts.

Opt3.
Be a Lender here on Forum.
Hmm. This is quiet interesting but I think risky too and on top of that marami na rin nag-ooffer ng ganyang service I think. I'll check it out.
Opt4.
Invest on Merchs.
Sell Crypto Products Online.
What do you mean by merchs as in yung physical products like shirts kasi I think it is not something that I can do during quarantine.

...do gadget buy and sells. This is way easier if you have experience handling gadgets at alam mo which is which, and also ano yung distinguishing factor to know if they are fake or not para hindi ka ma-bogus.
This is quiet challenging. Pero as far as I know yung mga courier services ngayon ay naka-halt pero I think in di po siya efficient for me in my opinion.

Maraming kinds of investments ngaun. Anjan ang:
-Stock Market
-Pag-ibig MP2
-Creating a Business

That's enough para makapag trade ka in crypto exchange, only if alam mo ginagawa mo and you have experience na in trading, pero if wala pa, then that's too hard it will be a trial and error for sure, at pwede yan mag cause ng pag kawala ng 25k mo.
May nababasa na rin po ako regarding trading pero nagdadalawang isip kasi risky pero sabi mo nga we need to take the risks. Maghahanap nalang ako ng magagandang babasahin at video tutorials.

Salamat po sa lahat ng input ninyo! Very much appreciated po!

We should be out of lock down in 2week more.

I think this still depends on the country.

Here in the Philippines, the ECQ or the Enhanced Community Quarantine until the end of this month. That is because of the number of cases and I think to be on the safe side since we never know what might happen and since that there is still no vaccine for the virus, the number of cases making it harder for them to contain the virus. Businesses are affected but it is inevitable.
On top of that, Philippines being categorized as a third world country, prolonging the quarantine period would put those poor household in a greater challenge i.e. hunger but I consider it necessary. It really shows a lot with regard of the leaders that the people had chosen -- the way they respond in this time of health crisis. I do hope that this would be solved soon because the government's resources is also depleting and the people are being disgusted by the clowns sitting on the public office.
