joining a mining pool that pay per share and do CPU mining is an option.
yeah... that wouldnt be good as far as ive read
a (decent) GPU outperforms a (decent) CPU by a factor over 100
the CPU would be at 100% (or close to) load too, so the thing would be useless for everything else also

make the CPU miner run at idle priority, so its only using spare cycles to do mining then it won't affect anything,

also if you look up the OP's setup, seem like its one of those mini all in one design with no ability to use a discrete GPU, otherwise I would have suggested that.

Yuo have either an over heating GFX card or an insufficient power supply.

+1

if your are maxing out on overclocking using catalyst control center, go download MSI Afterburner and google how to make it overclock the core even higher

one extra flag to use -f #

# = number

smaller the number the less responseive the system get, but increases Mhash

I was able to squeeze 15-20 Mhash with that

most likely not! that's pretty old and would be slow slow slow even if it work anyway....

Only the new Sandy Bridge intergrated graphic HD3000 or HD2000 MAY have a chance at GPU mining, if Intel ever decide to release the OpenCL driver for them, that's the main road block at this point I think

this site should help you with your psu requirement calculations:

http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

I've been there before, but I can't figure out how to plugin x3 graphic cards.

Run it for 1 card, then run it for 2 card in Xfire mode, take the difference that's the extra power the 2nd card uses now add that difference to the numbers for the 2card in Xfire, and you have the approximate usage for 3 cards

Bro i have a rig with 3 xfx 6950s running...This is one of many. Now on a single 20 amp circuit with nothing else on it but that one rig it draws 7.4 amps. AT FULL LOAD. Circuit was tested with a FLUKE metter. What is it that you can possibly teach me that makes this different. The orignial question is how much is the machine going to cost me to run. Who gives a shit it changes dc to ac. Power company just wants to know what your drawing.

watts= 120volts x 7.4 amps =888Watts. This rig has 1200 watt PSU. Not using all of the 1200watts

888 watts x .10 kilowatts = .9 cents per hour

.9 cents per hour x 24hours in a day = $2.16 per day

$2.16 per day x 30 days = $64.80

Riddle me that one Batman? Your not right... You will be a noob forever.

doesn't sound right....

I've 1 i3+6850 ++ 1 C2D+5770 + 1C2D desktop and 2 C2D laptop, previously doing F@H CPU+GPU, and my electricty cost for those is only about $30-$40 a month @ $0.14 kWh

29x C2Q... that would only give about the same Mhash as 1 high end ATI card....?
