21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria To Launch Digital Currency on: May 27, 2021, 01:00:44 PM
CBN thought they could deny Nigerians access to bitcoin by banning  banks from all crypto activities....😉😉  But that one didn't work.. (as if that was when the purchase even doubled)...😘😘😘
And now again, they have come to say they are thinking of creating a digital naira...🤣😂😂🤣🤣..hmmm:.. I just laugh...

Instead of the CBN to look for a way to increase the value of our Naira that is depreciating everyday, here they are talking about digital naira..🤣🤣.. I just laugh...

So please...🙏🙏🙏 I will want my seniors in this forum (Legendary and Hero members) to please help me go tell Nigerian government to stop wasting there time, because Nigerian digital naira can never be like bitcoin..(not now, nor ever, even in the dream)....
Thanks..... I rest my case👍🤗🤗

22  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: receive paypal and convert to bitcoin (donezk) on: May 27, 2021, 12:27:01 PM
I wish I could understand your question very well.
Please wait..
1. Is the person looking for a platform to buy and sell bitcoin through his local currency? Or
2. Is the person just trying a way how to open a PayPal account?
Please, make me understand...

But, if it's  the first question you mean, then I will  like to suggest either Binance p2p, or Localbitcoin.com(since It also has p2p) or even remitano p2p, because thats what I used, and I have been very ok with how the platform works. You can buy and sell your bitcoin very fast in few seconds
23  Other / Meta / Re: Signature campaign and bounties are major factors of shit posting on: May 27, 2021, 12:11:38 PM
As for me, I will strongly disagree with that statement,  because had it been there was no signature campaigns and bounties that reward people for actively participating in this forum, bitcointalk forum would have died and be buried long time ago.. Because nobody will like to invest time in a place where he/she is not getting a penny, because with the help of bounty rewards, many have been able to own a personal blog, live a comfortable life and impact immensely in cryptocurrencies.

So, that's my point.. Thanks

You have just spoken wisely, but despite all that, in life you must always surely meet both the good and bad people, but manner at which you take whatever they said, will determine how far you will go in life..
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some tips for newbie. on: May 24, 2021, 10:42:35 PM
Hmm.. Please am sorry to say this. But I think you really need the mobile app called "grammarly", so as to check your grammars and punctuations.. Because the grammar in this your statement is indeed way out of hand..
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What the CEO of a Gold mining company has to say about Bitcoin on: May 24, 2021, 05:29:32 AM
The sudden fall in the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for the past weeks have indeed resulted in trending talks and news, both on social media and the investment market at large, of which according to the statistics given by tradingview(dot)com, it's price has fallen by $10000 for the past 10days, of which no investor will be happy for such a fall within a short period. And this has made Mark Bristow, the CEO of a gold mining company called "Barrick Gold" come up with his comparison to question Bitcoin as no store of value to gold. He said that while no one can print new gold into existence, people can still make cryptocurrencies.

And this is the main reason for me writing this article because thou, bitcoin been so volatile to fall and rise in price within a short period, it still has more advantages than gold, which I will be sharing with you all below.

1.   Easily Portable:
Unlike gold, bitcoin can be transferred anywhere in the world in just a few minutes without anyone or any entity stopping it. But Gold by its nature physically needs someone to transport it to other cities, states, or countries e.t.c, of which it will take weeks or even a month before it will arrive at its destination.

2.  Highly divisible:
Unlike gold, one bitcoin can be divided into 100 million smaller units called Satoshi, or Sats, but it's very hard to take your gold bar to the store and buy a cup of coffee with it because it can not be divided into smaller units.

3. Borderless, global and permissionless:
Unlike gold, bitcoin is borderless, because it is decentralized. It does not require any government, or companies to verify or approve it's transactions, and the government can't even if they wanted to. But if you want to send gold to another country, your country and the country receiving the gold could impose taxes or restrictions, which means it is been controlled by the government.

4.  Easily verifiable:
Unlike gold, bitcoin is far more easily verifiable than gold. Anyone in the world can easily run a bitcoin node on a simple laptop to instantly verify their transactions and bitcoin hodlings, but as for gold, you have to have a specific set of skills and some expensive pieces of equipment to verify the authenticity of your gold, since it can easily be counterfeit.

5.  Energy usage:
Unlike gold, bitcoin uses far less energy in the aggregate compared to gold. Because it is only bitcoin mining that requires a lot of energy usage and not bitcoin transactions. But Gold mining on the other hand is increasing its energy usage over time, as more new machinery is been created to mine more gold.

So in summary to all these, Bitcoin was created to give people more freedom than gold does, and to protect and store wealth across time and space.
Hence, we are now in the 21st century, and as such it's time we stop using rocks as money or a store of value. Because it once worked for the caveman, and the non-digital societies a long time ago, so it's high time we in this digital era start using a digital currency, and that's where bitcoin comes in.

So long live Bitcoin... Long live Bitcoin... Long live Bitcoin...

Thank you so much for finding out time to read this article of mine.

I remain your humbled Junior member...😃😃😃

27  Economy / Speculation / Why the price of bitcoin is falling on: May 21, 2021, 02:44:25 AM
I am very sure this has been the area of concern for the past 7 days to everybody around the world who owns a fraction of bitcoin, as its value continues to fall day by day, leaving people in fear and panic as billions have gone to the drain with this sudden fall in BTC, which it's still falling and nobody knows when next it will turn bullish. Whereas, others have gone on to Twitter with a hashtag "Could this be the end of Bitcoin", putting many in fear, as some has quickly made its swap to USDT, while others cash out, as its value, reduces drastically, which is the main reason I made my research to know what would have been the cause of the sudden fall in the price of BTC, and I was able to come up with these following reasons below.

1.    China Bank Association

From my research, I was able to understand that the price of BTC fell by 29% on Wednesday after China Banking Association warned its banks of the risks associated with digital currencies and placed a ban on cryptocurrency, which this action resulted in a sharp fall in the price of  BTC and also the fall in other altcoins like etheruem, Litecoin, and Dogecoin e.t.c

2. Elon Musk

From my research, I was also made to understand that Elon Musk is also the reason for the sudden fall in the price of BTC, but if in case you don't understand why people are saying so, let me break it down for you. if you could remember, Elon Musk, who happens to be the richest man in the world, and also the CEO of Tesla (A company that produces electric cars) back then in February 2021 made an announcement to have invested $1.5 billion in Bitcoin, and that Tesla will start accepting bitcoin as payment for his electric cars, of which this action of his skyrocket the price of bitcoin back then in February to almost $63,000 per Bitcoin, and just recently, that same Elon musk have come up this May to say his company Tesla will stop accepting bitcoin as payment for its electric cars, reason been because of the volatility of its nature causing its price to rise and fall, of which this very action of his is the reason for the sudden fall in the price of bitcoin.

But, no matter what, whether Elon Musk accepts our bitcoin or not, for the fact that bitcoin has been in existence since 2009 till today, it will surely prevail.👍👍👍👍👍

So, whether Elon accepts bitcoin or not, there are still some big companies that accept bitcoin or planning to accept bitcoin. And here they are:

1.  Overstock.com accept bitcoin as payment for it's goods.
2. MasterCard has said it will soon start accepting bitcoin on its network, and
3. BNY Mellon, the oldest bank in the US said back then in Feb, that it will soon include bitcoin in the service it provides for its clients.

So, that means, our bitcoin must surely prevail, no matter the storms and thunder it faces today.

So, Thank you... thank you... and thank you so much for finding out time to read my research findings...

I remain your humbled junior member in this forum bitcointalk... God bless you all

28  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: OK, I HAVE to start with $2500? [edit: my bad :/] on: May 20, 2021, 02:50:44 PM
Why not go for Binance or Coinbase? Because I think they will be a better alternative which has lesser minimum deposit  of $10
29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to join campaigns, To have a companions to success. on: May 20, 2021, 01:30:08 PM
Hmm.. at least most newbie's aim in the forum is to earn a decent cash(i.e join campaign) which i also had that aim, not until I changed my focus to first understand how the forum works before seeking for campaign to earn a decent cash, which am still in the process..
But as long as this forum exist, such questions will surely come in, but the big here is "How do we address such questions when they arise?"....
So, just as what my seniors in the forum, and legendary members and co have all said.. You should first seek to understand how to forum works before talking about campaign.. Thank you 👍👍👍

30  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Benefit of cryptocurrency in developing countries on: May 20, 2021, 01:01:09 PM
Ofcourse... Because not only have the governments failed, but they have also neglected the youths.
But thanks to Bitcoin for bridging the finanacial gap between we and those greedy politician who never gets tired of stealing what belongs to everybody to themselves. Because gone are those days when people come up to say "Youths are the leaders of tomorrow", because as for today, the opposite is the case..

So, I really don't know how to thank Satoshi Nakamoto for inventing this digital currency.. I say may your days be longer like the days of Metusala of old in the bible for making the little boy at 20years buy Benz, for making the little boy at 20years build house, and for making the little boy at 20years financially free..

Thank you so much Satoshi Nakamoto..👍👍👍

31  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit is not for free. on: May 20, 2021, 12:45:45 PM
Yeah.. I strongly agree with you.. Just as the name goes "Merit"  which means you just have to be worthy of it for you to be awarded..
Because as for me, which with my few months of stay on this forum, I see Merit as an award given to someone for solving a problem, or providing solution to problems.
32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Primary things a beginner should know. on: May 19, 2021, 08:59:26 AM

Wow.. I am so much happy for you to come back after good two years of sleep.. May God be highly praised.

But however, here are some of the cool news about Bitcoin you may have missed during your 2 years in sleep..

1.      On 21st Oct, 2020 PayPal made an announcement which will enable US customers to start using their Bitcoin to pay for goods within it's million online merchants globally.

2.    On 8th Feb, 2021 the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk, who happens to be the most richest man in the world bought $1.5billion worth of Bitcoin, making him the first person to have own the highest portion of Bitcoin.

3.    On 13th April, 2020, was the day Bitcoin reaches it's highest value of $63,474 per Bitcoin. Etc....

And many others, but once again.. you are highly welcome back fully

35  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: buying goods on: May 18, 2021, 06:28:59 PM
Literally I don't think there is a specific online store that enables buying of goods with bitcoin, but please I stand to be corrected if there is any. But I know of a platform known as localbitcoin(dot)com which enables user to sell Bitcoin and receive payment instantly in their Fiat currency  which you can use to purchase whatever goods you intend to buy..  Because as for me here in Nigeria, the platform I use to sell my bitcoin for Fiat is Remitano(dot)com, which is very fast and secure..
