Pakistani Women International cricket team performance is very bad in the last few years . I think Pakistani culture should be change and they should give freedom to women . If family will support to the women to play, then Pakistani domestic teams performance will be good and we will get good players from the Pakistan nation. But that is impossible for Pakistan because 90 percent of the Pakistani Women are house wife and they  only manage the house and man work and women are on the load of her husband but in Europe countries ,that is different and that's why Australia and England Women cricket teams are more stronger than other teams of the World.

It has nothing to do with women's rights or gender based discrimination. If it was so, then Pakistan wouldn't be having a women's team (similar to Afghanistan). The real issue here is that the PCB doesn't give much importance to women's cricket. When Rameez Raja was the PCB chairman, he did a lot of hardwork for the domestic teams and women. But once Najam Sethi replaced him, things went back to what they were previously. Lack of importance is the issue here, and not women's freedom or liberty.

Well... it was sad to see Sunrisers Hyderabad losing the match even after winning the toss. Their problem is that they don't have a backup plan, in case Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma gets out quickly. Rahul Tripathi and Heinrich Klaasen were able to build a good 5th wicket partnership, but they took their time. And sending in Shahbaz Ahmed ahead of Klaasen was a big mistake and as a result they were in horrible situation at 39/4. In the end, they got to a sub-par total and then lost the match.

The result from qualifier match was somewhat expected. KKR were the toppers in group phase and they had an easy win over SRH. Once Head and Abhishek got out cheaply in the first few overs, the outcome of the match was never in doubt. Now Sunrisers Hyderabad has another chance with them, as they take on the winners from the eliminator match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals. I would still say that SRH are likely to face KKR in the finals, as these two are the best teams as of now for this season.

In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad got to a total of 159, which I would consider as quite decent. Pat Cummins added 30 valuable runs towards the end, and it may make a difference today. After being smashed all over the park, Mitchell Starc returnd back to form with a terrific spell of 4-0-34-3. Varun Chakravarthy also did well and picked crucial wickets. As of now, I would say that Kolkata Knight Riders remains as the favorites to win this match, unless the SRH bowlers can do something extra-ordinary.

I would say Biden is 100x times nicer and kinder and better person than Trump no doubt, Trump is a POS, buuuuuut... does that mean he is not what USA needs? Not sure, maybe USA needs a POS for 4 years to fix some stuff, then go back to nicer presidents.

When Biden became the POTUS, the economy was in great health (despite the negative impact from the COVID pandemic). Rather than building upon it, he managed to make life difficult for everyone. Inflation is at record high, in part due to stupid policies from Biden related to oil production. And then there are other issues, such as the situation at Southern border. Trump maybe a businessman and he may be considered as rude and arrogant. But when he was the POTUS, the American economy was doing really good.

Now, it is officially announced that once again that Nida Dar will lead the Pakistan team in the ODI series as she led the team in T20 series and lost them all. She did not played good and even sometimes poor, but here is not that she is the alone worrier of the team, there are also good players but they didn’t perform as well as we needed.

However, for this poor captaincy, the PCB talks that the captain could be replaced and today is the day when the PCB announced that nothing surprises, Nida Dar will lead the team in ODI series. That was just the rumours that the captain would be changed. I think that the Pakistan women's team doesn't have any player who is more experienced than here.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from the Pakistan women's team. Apart from a handful of players, others doesn't have any experience of playing under SENA conditions. And as far as infrastructure and domestic setup is concerned, England is miles ahead of Pakistan. England has a well set domestic system and they have the women's Hundred. On the other hand, Pakistan doesn't even have a proper first class competition for women and they are still debating whether they need the women's PSL.

At one point, SRH were 39/3. But then Rahul Tripathi managed to build a partnership along with Heinrich Klaasen. Then both these batsmen got out quite quickly, and they lost Sanvir Singh as well. With 6 overs remaining, I won't be surprised if SRH substitutes Travis Head with one of their batsmen in reserves. Oh wait.. they already did that and it flopped. Abhishek Sharma was substituted by Sanvir Singh, and the latter got out for golden duck. Now the tailenders need to stay there for another 6 overs.

Just when I thought that Sunrisers Hyderabad are making a comeback, Andre Russell gets the most important wicket of Rahul Tripathi. Before this, it looked as if SRH may get to somewhere around 200. But now, it looks insanely difficult, as they have Abdul Samad at one end, and Pat Cummins at the other. Not much batting to come after this. They have Bhuvneshwar Kumar next, to be followed by tailenders Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and T Natarajan. My guess is that they may end up at somewhere around 160.

Kolkata Knight Riders are very strong team and they will win this match because their confident level is on the peak but if they lose this match ,they have most probably won the tournament. I saw in many tournaments which team played very well and we think it will win the tournament but unlucky that team lose the final match . The same case we see in last World cup final where India won all the matches in pool match and performed excellent but everyone was expecting India will win the final but India lose the final against Australia. I hope today match will be very interesting and we will see every ball of the match. I think KKR will win the match.

It is a very unpredictable match. Sunrisers Hyderabad are in top batting form, with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma smashing the bowlers all around the park. But their bowling is relatively weak. Kolkata Knight Riders are more balanced, with equally strong in both batting and bowling. That said, the team winning the toss is likely to bat first. The match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. And the latest news is that SRH has won the toss, and they have elected to bat.
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: May 20, 2024, 01:12:44 PM
Kolkata and Rajasthan matches were abandoned yesterday due to rain and Sunrisers Hyderabad secured the second position in the points table while SRH managed a big target in the previous match. The match will be played between Hyderabad and Kolkata and the losing team will get a chance to play one more match as they are number one and number two in the points table. The way SRH performed in the middle of the season we felt that SRH might not qualify for the playoffs this season, but at the end they performed brilliantly in all the matches and that's why they not only secured the playoffs but also got the points in the last match. Confirmed the second position in the table.

It goes without saying that the first qualifier match between Kolkata and SRH will be much more exciting.

There is no guarantee that the first qualifier match will go ahead as planned. As per the schedule, it will take place tomorrow at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Weather forecast doesn't look very bright in Ahmedabad for the next few days. And all the playoff matches are either scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad or at Chennai. Both these locations have witnessed heavy rains during the last few days. It will be really tragic, if the playoff matches get washed out for this season.

If Ireland batsmen put in a little more effort and struggle more runs could have been scored.  Yes it was an interesting match.  And I am very impressed with Ireland's bowling.  When there were 2 overs at the end.  Netherlands had a chance to win it but their batsmen failed to meet their target and would lose the match by 1 run.If they could not prove good bowling they would have lost the match.  But his hard bowling and luck helped him win the match.  If Nederland's batsmen were a little faster, they could have won the match.  Because the difference was only 1 run.  But fate wanted something else.  If they play like this against Scotland, they can win the match.  And according to my estimation, Ireland will lose this match.  Because Scotland also does very well.  Therefore, it cannot be considered weak.  It can only tell the result in the end.Congratulations to Ireland on the win and it will be an even happier place if they play well against Scotland.

Now let's not forget the fact that Ireland is a full member, while both Scotland and Netherlands are associate members. If Ireland is struggling against the other two teams (with a full strength XI, where only Josh Little is missing), then it is bad news for them. Irish bowling looks out of sorts. I don't know how much change Josh Little is going to make, but the experienced bowlers such as Mark Adair and Barry McCarthy were wayward and expensive against the weak Dutch batting lineup.

England Women vs Pakistan Women 3rd T20

Today will be the last match of T20 series between Pakistan Women and England Women. Pakistan Women lost the first two matches by a big margin. Both England women's batting and bowling lines are quite strong. Pakistan women bowling line is slightly better but batting line is very poor. England Women won the first two matches to win the series. Today's match is not so important for England Women. Pakistan women's performance is not good at present they need to improve both batting and bowling line. However, I do not expect anything good from Pakistan Women in this match today. I think England Women will win today. There is a high possibility of Pakistan Women being whitewashed.

Agreed. Pakistan women lost the matches because of their poor batting. And this was expected. They don't have much experience in playing under conditions which offer a lot of bounce, swing and seam movement. And at the same time, in bowling they have a spin-heavy attack which is not optimal for such conditions. Their pacers, such as Diana Baig and Waheeda Akhtar did a good job in the first two matches. However the spinners were quite wayward and leaked tons of runs against the experienced England batters.

Currently, Afghanistan government is having many challenges which are not easy for them to settle just because of these sports is not into their priority but still they are doing good things and having good results specially in cricket and soccer their teams are producing good results with kick-boxing, wrestling and few other sports are also having good development but sadly them having better things in security and finances are their first priority because with these things can't take positive changes.
Afghanistan players are doing impressive job in T20i so just because of this now they are having good money from the IPL which is helping their game and increasing popularity of the game in this country as well but still it needs decades to have all things settled here.

Well.. this is surprising. Cricket is a priority for the current Afghan government. It brings in a lot of revenue for them. And in terms of popularity, cricket and football are at almost equal level. Cricket is more popular among the Pashtuns who reside in Eastern and Southern regions, while football dominates among other ethnic groups such as Hazaras, Tadzhiks, Uzbeks and Pashayis. But in recent times cricket has expanded into Western and Northern Afghanistan where non-Pashtun ethic groups reside.

With this loss CSK journey in IPL 2024 is over as RCB has advanced in place of CSK. In yesterday game RCB gave a target of 219 runs but CSK needed 201 to improve NRR and advance to next stage. Rachin Ravindra and Ajinkya Rahane did well to take score to 85 after csk lost two early wickets. Lots of expectations from MS in last game but he got out on 25.

Rachin Ravindra was batting beautifully and I thought that he would take Chennai Super Kings to the playoffs. But unfortunately the useless Shivam Dube ran him out. CSK was essentially playing with 10 players, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru had 12 on their side (including Dube). There is no excuse for having a strike rate of 46.66 in a match where the required run rate was 11 per over. IMO, Dube's style of play was suspect during yesterday's match and he should be investigated for match fixing.

The border situation and the wars abroad being keep by the support of the United States treasury and taxpayer dollars, sure, those are topics which many people will keep in mind when comes to voting. However, I believe they are other topics and issues which will take a good percentage of importance on the mind of the people when the time to vote comes. Or are you implying the average Republican politician is supposed to ignore the recent changes there have been with comes to the suppression of the reproductive rights of women in the States, or the growing dangerous rethoric within the American society, in which immigrants are labeled like vermin and mentally sick ones who are being shipped from all round the world?

There are both issues and problems which hurt and benefit opposing parties at the same time, Republicans ignoring those won't help their cause, in the same manner democrats won't get any support from ignoring the border situation.

Democrats are very clever. Illegal immigrants are not just "immigrants". They are invaders shipped in by the Democrat Party to increase their vote base. And that is exactly the reason why the states along the border (Arizona, Nevada, Texas.etc) has seen a rapid decrease in support for the Dems. Now the Democrats wants to include illegal aliens in census, so that they can inflate the population in deep-blue states such as California and thereby increase the number of House seats there.

CSK were just 10 runs short of making it to next round. What a come back by RCB to this year IPL, they lost 7 of there eight initial games and when everyone said there IPL journey is over they came back by winning all of there last 6 games. There are still 2 games left in group stages but we have now all four teams confirmed for next round.

Chennai Super Kings lost out mainly because of Shivam Dube. He came in as an impact sub and wasted a lot of balls. Made just 7 runs from 15 balls (when the required run rate was close to 12 runs per over) and then he ran out Rachin Ravindra, who was batting exceptionally till then. Critics may say that he just had a bad day out there. But for me, what he did was something that can't be forgotten. If there was no impact sub, then CSK should have easily won this match and they could have qualified for the playoffs instead of Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

More power to them and they should if they are offered good money. I am in for players, doesn't matter which league they prefer as long as they are making big bucks and securing their future. In short, they should look at their long term benefits and interests. Also, let the market decide the outcome and should drive the price up for every deserving candidate.

The question would be if Pathirana is comfortable enough to take such a big step. He was an uncapped Lankan when CSK got him and nurtured him. Finally, his stocks are up in CSK's camp so a big paycheck is coming sooner than later. The same goes for Jake, he's uncapped too.

Well.. I just gave 2 random examples. Even with current IPL salaries, I don't think that there is any chance that either Pathirana or JFM preferring any other T20 franchise league over the IPL. At this point, IPL is the most popular T20 league in the world, and that too by a distance. And for younger players, salary check is not the only concern. On the other hand, players closer to retirement (such as Pollard and Wiese) maybe tempted to try their luck with the PSL (similar to Cristiano Ronaldo getting a fat pay check from Al Nassr).

If Chennai win today they will qualify for the next round. But if Bengaluru wins then the playoffs will not be confirmed directly. Because Chennai won 7 matches and got 14 points, while Bangalore won 6 matches and got 12 points. If Chennai win they will qualify directly, if Bengaluru wins then whoever leads in net run rate will qualify for the playoffs. Bengaluru performed poorly in the beginning but they have performed well in the last few matches. Hope today's match will be very competitive. But on the basis of performance, I will put Bangalore team ahead. Let's see which team wins in the end.

A total of 3 matches remain in the group phase of this season of the IPL:

Today: Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Chennai Super Kings
Tomorrow: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders

The outcome of these matches will decide who will qualify for the playoffs. With the form they are in, I would expect RCB to win today's match. CSK is struggling with injuries to some of their main players. SRH is almost assured of a playoff spot, and even if they lose tomorrow they may qualify.

I am very sad about the current state of the Brazilian squad. I mean they are a country with great talent in football. In the past, there was no Brazilian national team player who was not known to the world. Even their reserve players were stars in their time. Some say this happens because football has now become modern football where collective play takes priority over individual skill. Actually, this makes sense to me. But I think that the Brazilian squad in the past could definitely play collectively if they had a good coach. I think I agree with you that it is time for Brazil to use a non-Brazilian coach who understands modern football better. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Brazil has stayed where they were three decades ago, with hardly any improvement. On the other hand, the European and Asian teams are racing ahead. Even now, hardly anyone among the national squad members play their football in Brazil. The national league is in poor shape and this has stinted the emergence of younger players. It is not even guaranteed that Brazil would qualify for the 2026 World Cup. They have performed poorly in the CONMEBOL qualifiers so far.

Lol, you mentioned Kieron Pollard so i am going to narrate a recent funny story.

Do you remember Ambani's son pre wedding ceremony early this year? Pollard was part of some PSL franchise and the season was on but he left the team just to attend the celebration, tells you more about the priorities of Pollard and atm he's one of the support staff of MI so it's not rocket science. I like Rassie, in the IPL unfortunately no one is interested in him anymore. Protea also sidelined him and IMO his t-20 retirement is around the corner.

Like I said PSL running parallel to IPL, is an opportunity for every foreign unsold player in the IPL.

Well... there are 10 IPL franchises, and therefore a total of 80 foreign players can participate in the IPL. But even among them, the salaries are quite divergent. For example, if you take a look at the Chennai Super Kings, the salary range of foreign players varies from $25,000 for Matheesha Pathirana, to $1.8 million for Daryl Mitchell. PSL franchises can easily pick someone like Pathirana by offering 2x or 4x the current salary. Same is the case with Delhi Capitals. David Warner can't find a place in the starting XI, and salary for Jake Fraser-McGurk is just $63,000.
