Hmmm.... maybe I am wrong.
This is how I determined page 208 = 192:
Page 8 = Page 24 in the pdf, therefore, Page 192 should be Page (192+16) = 208.

Apologies if this confused you...

You could be right if the OP used the same way as you to count the page numbers .
How scanned the book  skipped a page somewhere .

9(1)-1- 344(10)-1-   AAaAa

puzzle page : 8    54   192    9    344
pdf page     : 24  70    207   25   360

192 (7)-1 should be h. See the pdf file again, page 192 should be the page 208 in the pdf.

nop !! the page 192 is the start of "chapter 9 SPECIATION"  witch is page 207 in pdf (see content page 6 in pdf)

As for the hints you could be right !!

If there's no online version of the book, you could use the "look inside" feature of amazon and keep selecting "surprise me" until you get to the right pages.

I think the PDF is the Softcover version, we need to check the hardcover one I guess .
Some one should visit the library  Grin Grin , or buy the book (on your own risk i could be wrong) .

Softcover = Paperback
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paperback
Quote
A paperback (also known as softback or softcover) is a type of book characterized by a thick paper or paperboard cover, and often held together with glue rather than stitches or staples. In contrast, hardcover or hardback books are bound with cardboard covered with cloth; although more expensive, hardbacks are more durable. Inexpensive books bound in paper have existed since at least the 19th century in such forms as pamphlets, yellowbacks, dime novels, and airport novels.[1] Modern paperbacks can be differentiated by size. In the US there are "mass-market paperbacks" and larger "trade paperbacks". In the UK, there are A-format, B-format and the largest C-format sizes.[2]

Paperback editions of books are issued when a publisher decides to release a book in a low-cost format. Cheap paper, glued bindings, and the lack of a hard cover contribute to the inherent low cost of paperbacks. Paperbacks can be the preferred medium when a book is not expected to be a major seller, or in other situations where the publisher wishes to release a book without putting forth a large investment. Examples include many novels, and newer editions or reprintings of older books.

Since hardcovers tend to have a larger profit margin, many publishers try to balance the profit to be made by selling fewer hardcovers against the potential profit to be made by selling more paperbacks with a smaller profit per unit. First editions of many modern books, especially genre fiction, are issued in paperback. Best-selling books, on the other hand, may maintain sales in hardcover for an extended period in order to reap the greater profits that the hardcovers provide.

eISoMm <- I realize the I is not a valid character, but there might be an additional twist

Maybe ROT-13?
qEAbGg

(E) might mean end of the private key
(E) for enigma ??
(E) for encoded / encrypted?
(E) = 5

4 = e. 7= G (Alphabet order) 25 = Y (Alphabet) 1 = o 27 = m 27 = M
E Equals 5.

or 4, 7 , 27 would be Alphabet order.
first attempt -> eGYoMm5

maybe E is just E
dRNoTtE / eISoMmE

I say it's much deeper than that the numbers sequence seem like they are a gps/phone something like that .
the (E) is not an E or else he would have wrote "4 7 25 1 27 27 4" or "4 7 25 1 27 27 5"
is not a 5 or else he would have wrote "4 7 25 1 27 27 (5)" or "4 7 25 1 27 27 E" by equality
The E could mean E if the numbers mean something else other than suggested in the google doc
We should rethink our chain of though used in first answers
