21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It's always about your choice on: July 18, 2020, 11:24:10 PM
What makes a bounty manager better? It's not about the success of the projects they introduce, it's about

1. How the handle the campaign
2. It's about fulfilling what was promised to bounty hunters
3. It's about fighting the fair fights for bounty hunters

The success of a bounty project is not in the hand of a bounty manager, the ball is in your courts, you are responsible for the bounty projects you choose, if they fail it's never bounty managers fault. Always remember this.

I believe everyone has a part to play, the bounty manager did his by vetting the project well enough to manage their campaign, it is also hunter's job to which whether to promote the project. Just like you said, the manager can however come in handy by ensuring both the hunters and the team delivers their end of the bargain because is the one that stands as a mediator between the hunters and the project team.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People still falls for Bitcoin doubling scheme and fake giveaways on: July 18, 2020, 11:20:31 PM

Honestly people aren't learning anything, I am so disappointed in the way people think nowadays, believing they can actually double their bitcoin, as a newbie, the moment I saw the giveaway on binance official Twitter account I knew it was a hack

People falling for scam will always be a common thing no matter how even they get oriented about scams because most humans were born with imbedded greed and once they see any means to get earn profit, they do venture into it without proper research. Also we have certain sets of people that believes taking huge risk is the only way to earn more but that's not entirely true, only calculated risk should be considered! Scammers will always devise means to scam people, it once responsibility to be always ahead of the game!
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties managed by team themselves on: July 18, 2020, 11:14:01 PM

I'm sure I'm not the only one who sees things this way, or am I?

I agree with you, i personally don't prefer part of the team managing the bounty campaign because they always seems to be too restrictive when it comes to awarding proper stakes for work done. Again, i noticed that it is always more easier for teams to default and delay payments when it's one of them managing the campaign.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of IEO is Exchange on: July 12, 2020, 11:04:59 PM
The success of ICO lies in the hand of huge partnership support, huge investors and trust but since scammers canes around ICO trust was ruined but now what we have left is IEO, and I will keep repeating myself over and over for new projects that the success of an IEO is top exchanges, no matter how good your use case is, if you choose p2pb2b or vindax over Okex or binance just have it at the back of your mind that failure awaits you with 80% chance over 100%

You are right, the success of IEO as a fundraising method depends solely on the exchange hosting the IEO. Ico sure did had it's  time but the scammy nature of most projects that emerged and abuse the good will of raising funds with ico ruined everything. About p2pb2b and vindax, they are indeed exchanges that every project looking to raise fund should avoid as everything seems to be wrong with them
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am fed up with scammers and newbies. on: July 12, 2020, 10:55:40 PM
No one will ever stop scammers from invading or scamming but all we have to do is to ensure we don't fall for them by doing investigations before investing and also say no to hyped from telegram or any social media claiming to be genuine.  Not all that glitters is gold.

I couldn't agree, scammers will always devise new means when an old one seems to be outdated and casted becuase that's all they know how to do best. We all the legit ones out there ought to ensurs at all cost we don't fall for such scam and the easiest way to prevent oneself from getting scamed is by knowing  how to control the greed within and when you have control over the born greed imbedded in every human, you'll ne ahead of your games
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No exchange? No Value! on: July 12, 2020, 10:49:08 PM
So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

What do you think I should do now?

Batcoin seems to be a long gone project because the team has ghost up with no any update to either their social media handles or project development. It is always important to check out the progress of a project before investing, most of these coins out there now are just having names but are already forgotten by the teams, so if you don't make diligence research about the coin, you'll end up buying a dead token
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get moved by fake good news on: July 12, 2020, 10:31:55 PM
These kind of news and updates have been spamming several crypto groups on Telegram and its becoming a common tool and way through which scammers lure unsuspecting people into their cheap scams. They get you interested with false claims and have you join their so called VIP subscription groups and then either sell you spywares and malwares as robots or they take your subscription fee and disappear without offering you anything in return. We all must be very careful.

For years now, it's been a commonly used scam strategy use by those low life scammers to lure newbies and mostly greedy and uninformed people in this space. People especially the newbies really needs to get well imform about possible investment opportunities in this space in order to help them spot a fraud-like onces and that's why i always appreciate threads such as this as they in one way or the other, enlighten people on how to be super careful in this space
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin Must Be Inherited on: July 11, 2020, 09:44:34 PM
Over the past decade, the number of Bitcoin investors and other types of crypto assets has grown tremendously. Based on data by Coinmetrics, there are currently around 12 million Bitcoin millionaires in the world. However, there are those who die every year, without heirs who can access Bitcoin. The amount reaches 4 million Bitcoin (around US $ 40 billion), according to Coincover.
Meanwhile, based on the results of a survey by the Cremation Institute, of 1,150 respondents, 89 percent of them are very worried about losing their crypt assets. However, only 23 percent have a specific plan to pass it on to the closest person, for example to their husband, wife or children.
I think this is a very good idea, and I hope that someday there will be a crypto exchange and a crypto wallet that provides inherited features, so users will be safe and comfortable.
For such a feature to surface, it must be done by a centralized exchanges and i think it's a good idea because i've heard lot of story on this topic as when people died, the people closeer to them often tends not to be able to crack open the wallet leading to loss of assets. I believe this will serve as some sort of insurance for crypto holders and traders
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: same private key? on: July 11, 2020, 09:30:49 PM
hey,
I wonder, even if the probability so small is, if someone else get the same private key as me could he/she spend my Bitcoins and viceversa? would we have the same Bitcoin Adress?  Huh

It's not possible for anyone to get your private because it is some sort of random generated alphabets which only you have authorized access to unless you gave it out or your wallet got compromised through hack and security breach or by submitting your private keys to fake and phishing sites.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was your experience trading cryptocurrency? on: July 11, 2020, 09:22:02 PM
My first trading experience was when i tried selling some few tokens i earned from airdrop, due to complexities of decntralized exchanges, it was quite difficult for me to navigate around the exchange but i took up trading courses and months later, i was able to trade on any kind of exchange
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always look at the coins MAX supply on: July 06, 2020, 11:40:44 PM
So there's 6000+ coins out there. Look at the max supply. A coin with a large max supply and rapid emission of new coins will most likely never surge in value. This is because the worlds total capital is divided with so many optional coins. The larger the supply, the more capital it needs to spike in value. Even Bitcoin with a max supply of only 21 million needed massive amount of capital to get where it is now. So any coin with double that, will need the double amount of capital to get to the same place. So with so many options out there if you want good value pump. Look for something with max supply of only like 1 million. (which of course needs to have a utility too to stay in growing demand)

I think it's all boils down to the product development and the demand the coin can gather, most of the major top 10 projects have massive token supply and they are doing pretty job in maintaining their token price. likewise, I've seen multiple project that goes with option of low token supply and they are doing bad job in maintaining a good stable price
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They say hardware wallets are the safest on: July 05, 2020, 11:32:40 PM
Why do they say that? Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't, hardware wallet, a hardware like usb, that generates private keys without being online on the internet?

Why do I not like them? Because, in addition with a txt file that you can encrypt with many ways and save it in many places, if your hardware stops working, you're a dead man. And you're going to fix it somewhere? Not that recommended. If you're a paranoid of course.

Prove me wrong, by not telling me the cons of software wallet. Prove me wrong, by telling me the pros of hardware wallet.

Nope, that's not how hardware wallet really work and indeed it is the best and the most secure set of wallet available in the market. Taking about losing or when the wallet get damaged, there's a way to recover you damage wallet on a new one because each hardware wallet has a recovery seed. Yoy should learn more about how hardware wallet operates
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin soon will become a boring investment? on: July 05, 2020, 11:22:47 PM
Allot of people are making investment in Bitcoin, even with the risks involved. Everybody want to own Bitcoin. Many have half or more than half of their portfolio invested in Bitcoin already, This digital currency is becoming  almost common to all, when everyone owns a Bitcoin who then will care about it as it will be as common and a boring investment.

I believe this is a treat in the Bitcoin market value, could this actually bring down the market? Or it is a sign for feature increase in the market? Your thoughts are welcome..

The more people adopt bitcoin, the more exciting investing in bitcoin will become. The only thing that will make bitcoin boring is persistent bear and volatile market and possibly when majority of the people abandon the use of bitcoin. The more people use bitcoin, the more freedom to financial services everyone will jave access to not to mention the possible investment opportunities
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware wallet was seized by US customs. on: July 05, 2020, 11:17:46 PM
As some of you know, I won a hardware wallet in a recent competition here in Bitcoin Talk. That was 4 months ago. The wallet was dispatched promptly following the announcement of the results, but I have only just received it. The wallet was contained in a (probably) sealed box supplied by the manufacturer, and double bagged for dispatch. I received the package in a Royal Mail bag which declared that the packaging had been damaged before entering the UK.Both of the bags had been ripped open and not resealed, and the security tab on the box was missing.

My suspicion is that the package was picked up in a scan, and sent for analysis to check for possible money laundering. Sending a loaded wallet is obviously a way to transfer funds with them being recorded on the blockchain. I haven't used any hardware wallets, so I'm wondering how easy it is for government agencies to check for stored Bitcoin in the wallet.

I think there're missed up in some place and the person that actually tampered with the package really knows little about how crypto wallets operate because with my experience in this space, i don't think anyone will load fund on hardware wallet and shipped it to another location. It might be one of the shipment agent trying to be smart by trying his luck if he'll be able to access the wallet and cater away with the fund
35  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A trading chart does not play out to 100% on: July 02, 2020, 11:03:32 PM
Your observations are correct, trade charts can never give 100% accuracy because charts only show traends of previous price movements. People however, have mastered  chart trends to the extent they can determine the next trend the force of demand and supply will take. I think it applys to even the TA And Price analyst because on many occasions, users have complained about losing cash because the signal dropped by the analyst turns out inacurate
36  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODLing is great but why not use Options to insure what you are HODLing? on: July 02, 2020, 10:58:18 PM
Option is really a nice trading strategy especially for pro traders who whants to up their game against market volatility but most holdlers are not often worried about market volatility and little price dumps as they do go into the trade with a pre-determined price goal of when to sell the token so they don't often care about market volatility
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade by yourself on: July 02, 2020, 10:51:49 PM
There are several traces of newbies finding signals here and there to trade, but it is wrong. Believe me If you want to trade consistently and profitably just learn how to do it yourself no matter how difficult or how long it takes.

You can subscribe to signals if you're the type who wants to earn while you learn but long term.... Learn trading by yourself

No doubt, trading by oneself is the main deal. However following well analyzed signals helps a lot as you will only need to add little research effort to the already made trade calls. Newbies and average skilled traders looking for aignal isn't a bad idea, however everyone need to additional research work on the trade calls he received  as even the expect can make a mistake which might be easily identigyable by a newbie
38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is based on probability. on: July 02, 2020, 10:47:50 PM

As a trader, the best you can do is find the most likely scenario based on the data you have and understanding the risk involved too.
Choose the best probable outcomes that favors you to avoid stories as rekt.

You are right, probability will always come into crypto trading because a lot of factor are responsible for crypto price movement which guide the output of trading yields. It is quite understandable that the force of demand and supply as well contributes greatly to crypto price movement but a lot of other unforeseen factors contributes to the force of demand and supply that's why every trader at some point have to the some probability work
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short suggestion and situation on: June 29, 2020, 11:01:16 PM
From what I see in the current situation, I can understand that it is most convenient to make money online from home !! It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. I thought it would take another month for graduation to end and then I would go out looking for a job but now what I see is that I have to make the house my job! So I'm trying to do something online !! And I think this will be suitable for everyone who does not want to sit !!

Join with altcoin is the best.

Due to the pandemic, jobs have really scarce as a lot of people lost their offline jobs and are looking for online jobs where they can work from home and earn money and since there is an increase in the populations over freelance jobs, trading of cryptocurrency that is welcome to everybody might be the solution to the current challenges
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT TRUST TO TETHER on: June 29, 2020, 10:54:02 PM
Tether getting bigger every day but it doesnt mean you can trust them.
Im not gonna say tether developers are scammer but tether could be fall very hard by Central bank mafia, Money Landing is a good Excuse for Central Bank to freeze tether money account.

I think tether isn't facing any threat now and going by there recent updates, they are very much still in game.  I think the only turn down to the usage of tether is the fact that regulators can set an unfavourable rules against them but that's a threat being face by every stablecoins out there so you topic would have been more appealing if at all it was focused on all the stablecoins instead of just tether
