Curently we're somewhat unable to take action for increasing the trade volume of DIGIT. In the age when more and more coins pop up every day not many people are willing to play the longer game and invest into stability, into something that doesn't live as long as a butterfly. The one thing we could do is to give up and schedule the cut-off of Proof of Work blocks. This is likely to create a small value and volume increase, if combined with something like a new wallet for example. We are also planning on switching to Proof of Stake protocol V2, which will motivate more on holding wallets online and staking. DSF Official Statement We have received a surprising amount of requests to change the PoW algorithm or stop PoW entirely which would result in the price of DIGIT skyrocketing. However, we do not oblige. DIGIT has never been, and never will be a get-rich-quick project.
DIGIT is the only PoW/PoS hybrid designed with emphasis on long-term stability and a fair share to all our supporters. Having been on the road for a month we've attracted some investors with stability and credibility in mind, and that's exactly what we're aiming for. Anyone wishing to invest in pump & dump coins with greatly staggering prices should look the other way - we here at DSF are doing our best to secure a stable long term upward climb for DIGIT. |

FAQ (post #3) has been updated. Having trouble with syncing? Here's what to do:1. Back up your wallet.dat and Digit.conf files. 2. Close your Digit client 3. Delete everything except the wallet.dat and Digit.conf in your appdata/Digit folder. 4. open Digit.conf with any kind of text editor and replace the content with: connect=80.240.142.154
listen=0
staking=0 5. Launch your Digit wallet and wait for it to sync fully. The blockchain will check and orphan any transactions that do not belong in the main chain. You will not lose orphaned stakes as those will be staked again when your wallet is synced to the right chain and staking is enabled again.6. Close your Digit wallet and replace appdata/Digit.conf with a backup. Then launch your wallet again. |
