Withdrawals not happening and yeah, no more blocks being credited.

Yet another take-it-and-run scam pool...  Last update is "we're on the right fork, keep mining."
I have doge in my account there that I'm guessing I'm never going to see.

This is run by the same folks as fast-pool, so why they wont answer questions about dogepolis is beyond me.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SSL][0%FEE] DOGECOIN POOL MINE! FAST-POOL.COM - ON CORRECT FORK! on: February 18, 2014, 07:40:55 PM

yes we was down at the morning...

we checked new ddos protection...heh..didn't work

anybody else having any issue?

Fast-pool,
Can you tell us why dogepolis has been on the same block now for over 24 hours? It's at like 870%.
Maybe something should be reset? Something is definitely very wrong with Dogepolis and we haven't heard a thing...

I also have 700 doge in there that I'd like to get out until things are fixed...

23  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E Bitcoin Deposit Delay NOW on: February 10, 2014, 02:49:53 PM
Same....  No word about it and nobody in the trollbox seems to be concerned (likely because they have plenty of crypto and fiat stocked up in there.)

18 confirms here too, nothing, not even any incoming.

Obviously, my concern is that btc-e has decided to keep incoming btc transactions for themselves. I know people will crow about this, but it's not like this sort of thing hasn't happened before.

Hope I'm wrong. Been waiting long enough, not much I can do at this point.

I had a very good surprise when I logged back in today, my balance was no longer 0 but a bit over 0.1 BTC. Although smaller that I expected, I must admit I have no way to check if it's correct or not. My Blades were on auto-pilot in late October so I didn't follow my balance on a regular basis. As I said earlier, I will assume good faith.

Still at 0 here. I'm guessing you did complain?  I'm just guessing that they're only oiling the squeaky wheels.

And to folks saying that we're all just crowing for fake balances: I most certainly did not expect the ridiculous near 1000-btc balance I had right after the hack to be paid. In fact my first note to them said as much.

I had a single digit balance, but small amounts suddenly meant a whole lot more after the price and difficulty shot up.

I suppose I'll have to start being a squeaky wheel...

great that some folks are getting fractional balances (Supposedly...) - mine's still at 0 as well.

Anyone willing to show a screenshot of these supposed returned balances?
Anyone able to actually process payment to their wallet of these supposed returned balances?

Sounds like shilling to me, for sure.
26  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [115 Th] 50BTC.com - PPS|Stratum+Vardiff|Port 80|QIWI,Yandex,Mobile,WM... on: January 11, 2014, 10:50:27 AM
Wait: Let me get this straight, RileyN:

You believe that everyone (or most) people who are complaining are lying about their balances?

So... does that mean the people who DID have "moderate" balances AREN'T complaining?
Or that there wasn't anyone on 50btc at the time the payout stops happened with large balances?

Does this mean the high rollers DID get paid by 50btc, and therefore aren't speaking up here, and that 50btc is only shirking small-balance miners?
Well *that's* mind boggling.

Either they:

1) aren't paying anyone, and that includes high and low balance miners,
2) OR they paid off their 'big players' but not their small miners (makes NO sense) so we're only seeing "pocket change" liars here,
3) OR they're only not paying people who are lying about their balances? (whut?)

Seeing as #1 is most certainly the case, "balance inflation" on posts here has zero relevance as far as 50btc's trust, reputation and current actions.
Yeah, okay; fine - maybe some people are embiggening their balance claims, but who GAF. Fine. Distractor. Got it.

That doesn't make 50btc any less culpable.
The -fact- is, that everyone who mined at 50btc (and that's a lot of people) have had their transactions in-process cancelled, and their balances reset to 0.000000.
This is the issue.

Your revelation that some folks might be crafting fisherman's stories has jack sh- to do with the problem at hand.

27  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [115 Th] 50BTC.com - PPS|Stratum+Vardiff|Port 80|QIWI,Yandex,Mobile,WM... on: December 28, 2013, 03:04:24 PM

As much as I hate that 50btc are idiots as much i hate fucking liars.

At least do your freaking math bro, 15-10-13 start of mining 18-10-13 end of mining on 3 th/s.
3 th/s will give you ~5 btc per day -> 3 days*5 = 15 btc.

And I didn't say i was running 3 th/s I said that i was running 3 terrahash miners

50btc.com will just claim that everyone is trying to scam / Blackmail them and / or that no one had any btc in their account so that they can get out having to pay anyone anything

Yeah, actually, that's what I'm starting to think. This huge hack happened when, just luckily, nobody had anything in their account, so no big deal.
I guess this is what they meant about whatever whatever about earning their trust and loyalty.

interesting how brazen these guys are. Engaging and taunting the people they scammed...

Nobody's getting their BTC back, that's for sure, but it is interesting for them to come here and threaten the people they scammed, because their amounts "weren't big enough".

BTC stolen is BTC stolen.
Hell, if it's such a small amount, 50BTC, just pay the freaking debt.
29  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [115 Th] 50BTC.com - PPS|Stratum+Vardiff|Port 80|QIWI,Yandex,Mobile,WM... on: December 26, 2013, 04:30:27 AM
Wow.

So they just proved/revealed:

-they *DO* have the database records,
-They STILL aren't making good on people's BTC;

...and yet...

People are STILL MINING THERE.

Just wow. So they KNOW we've lost (n) bitcoins, but folks with a reset-to-zero balance is plugging away and figuring they'll make good...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome

I'll mine there again when the number under "Balance" isn't a big fat blue zero.

Respectfully, this sort of anonymity is kind of the "point" of Bitcoin and I doubt anyone at all is going to get any traction by talking about 'going to the police', nor will it be taken seriously even if you could find people.

Secondarily, the chances of some of these run-offs being involved in organized crime and money laundering is "significantly high".

These coins are gone, gone, gone; and ANY pool operator can and will get away with this sort of thing if they try. And chances are, people will come right back to mining after it happens. This is likely WHY some pools charge 0% fees. They aren't doing it for charity. This was likely 50btc's "endgame" from day 1: Build trust, and then run right when the price was high. Rebooting the site carries zero risk for them and 100% chance of additional coins under their purview.

I've lost a good number of BTC to several pools (early on, 2011 or such) closing down overnight. Unfortunately this is a risk calculation that everyone has to make. There is ZERO assurance that ANY pool (even Slush's - though I doubt it, since the 'slow way' to get BTCRich is to run a pool with a modest fee and take your time) - won't take your coins and run.

Yeah I have this 2% hope that 50btc will do something for its previous miners that it lost took the coins from.  But I have no realistic hope of that ever happening. And as is usual, many people will go right back to mining there again, and be shocked, shocked I tell you - when they do this again.

It'd be great to see a community developed accountability method for pools, but I don't know what that would be.
31  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] 50BTC.com on: December 22, 2013, 07:25:48 AM
Auto payouts didn't necessarily matter, because payouts stopped before the funny business happened in earnest.

7.6784 in my balance at the time of the 'hack'.
8.0000 in "pending" payout.  Never happened.
So I guess that's 15.6784. Whee.  great.

Account balance went to something like 8000~ ridiculous after the "hack".
Both my balance and the pending payout got cleared.

Dashboard shows 0.00kh/s,
CGMiner says 2.6Mh/s, 0% Stale,
Over 4000 unconfirmed, 0 confirmed,
What´s going wrong?

Stats are off, that's normal.  As for the 0 confirmed, is that true now? My unconfirmed was high for a while, but a bunch just got confirmed.

I can't believe people are going back to mining here.  But because people are, that's why they can do this kind of crap.  They know that people will come back. They know that people will "forgive" and start mining again. (As evidenced in some of the replies above.)

It's up to them to earn trust back.

Please, don't mine there unless they make good on this. It's rewarding bad behavior.
34  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: December 20, 2013, 06:40:40 PM
Went to withdraw some LTC from my account on BTC-E yesterday.
Got the transaction email, confirmed it, and my BTC-E account history says that it was processed.
(Yes, the address is correct -- double, triple, etc, checked that. I'm sure it is correct.)

However, block-explorer shows that BTC-E never sent the LTC.

Submitted two tickets, no response; most recent ticket LLP-816-49136.
Have the feeling that BTC-E is going to keep the LTC for themselves; but I hope not...

And it'll remain clean.

I lost 56btc on these guys. Yes. YES. It was stupid of me to keep anything in a pool. I figured I wasn't keeping all of my eggs in one basket by putting it all in one place. Ha ha, dumb.
Not sure how anyone's going to "sue" a nameless faceless entity either.

I'm also not sure how they're going to "justify our confidence" but it sure isn't going to mean BTC in our account.
The "individual way", yeah i'll be watching for that.

Lemme guess.
5% off some stuff in their ASIC store.  "Here, you can give us even more money! But it'll cost you a tiny bit less to give us more money!"

I can't wait.

Hoping they read the thread here -- their support email "support@bestbitcoinminingpool.com" is bouncing right now... Can't access my account. Not sure why.

Hi Michi,

Is everything working well for you now?

The support email is bouncing some emails, we are getting onto that now that the other work has been completed, sorry about that!

Yup! I'm back in business and doing just fine. Thanks a lot for the help!

Just want to say ---

The guys at this pool have been VERY helpful to me, a newbie to mining, in the last few days. They really have gone out of their way to help. Yes, they're having some start-up growing pains, but I can understand that... (having started up websites before...) I originally skeptical too, but their operators have been answering me quickly to fix any problems I ran into, so far.

These guys seem legit to me so far, and both of the operators have responded to me personally to me on issues.

I'm sure we'll all see, when the first block is found over there, but, just my 2 cents and experiences, in dealing with them the last few days - they've been helpful and understanding and straight-shooters.

Thanks,
Michi

Just to follow up.

The guys running bestbitcoinminingpool.com have been REALLY helpful with this, and really responsive. They've having some "startup pains" but, it happens. (I've dealt with startup sites myself before..)

So just want to let everyone know. They've been very repsonsive and they do seem to be pretty serious about this.

And now the site points to a godaddy parking page, after I've mined for a day or so there.  Undecided  Wonder where that BTC has gone? (I can guess...)
