21  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Automated overclocking/underclocking against pool luck on: April 27, 2014, 02:33:29 PM
Luck is luck, by definition it cannot be forecasted.

I know but say on Slush's pool, yes it reports pool luck daily but if you could get that down to half/quarter of a day, then you are reacting to the trend of what's happened/happening within a shorter timeframe, so the chance is you will be more accurate.

I'm going to give it a go any just to see what would be the best way to do this from a script point of view, mining is mostly a gamble anyway and this will keep me out for mischief for a little bit at least.

Luck is not a trend.

Again, luck is luck.  Just like when rolling a dice, the last roll does not change the outcome of future roles.  Gamblers Fallacy.

Same thing applies.

How many times are you going to be need to be told that

a) This collateral is terrible

b) You only need to make one thread (see:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=586394.0)

If i ever getva legitimate request, would you be willing to hold collateral for me, fir a part if the interest profit?

Of course, and I only charge a minuscule 1% of the transaction!  I can only send coins during certain hours of the day when I'm at my home office.

About 10 or so posts above yours.

Feel free to look elsewhere.  Thanks.

I played the game, lost, but I like how it is set up like an exchange.  Should be a great site moving forward.

May I have the review .002?

On a positive note, I don't think this one was genuine either. Perhaps this was a collateral scammer after all! So much for "gaining a solid reputation"!!

I can do your loan, if you pit up your collateral, and still need it. How long do you need it for?  I apologize for denying you previously, I was misinformed.

great... I prefer escrow.ms as the escrow as I have dealt with him previously for IPO escrows. Alternatively if he is unavailable, Anon136 or tomatocage is great as well. We will split the escrow fee... I'm sure it will be competitive. If you can provide 2 BTC, I can provide a collateral of AsiaCoin (AC) mostly and cover the rest with the little more valuable WhiteCoin (WC) to a 2 BTC equivalent of the current Poloniex Eschange sell rates. Tell me about the interest charges. I am looking for 7-10 days loan. If I pay early (say 5 days), would the interest rates be lower?

You there? Were you serious about the loan? I don't want to post a new thread for the loan if you are confirmed. Awaiting your response.

Excuse me?

I did not make your loan, because I already stated that Vod would hold the escrow and he agreed, yet you keep trying to push these other escrows on me.

I never asked you to send me your collateral.  So, find your loan elsewhere please, and stop trying to derail my thread.

OK, I am very close to just deciding to close the thread and offer for now.

It states in my OP that you will need collateral for a loan.  Every single request thus far had not qualified.

Please, if you are making a request, read the OP.  If you can't follow those rules, I am fairly certain you won't repay correctly either.  This is ridiculous.

You realize all the newbie accounts asking for loans here were created JUST for this thread, right?  They'll never be used again.

Kudos to you for sticking to your guns and demanding collateral.  Smiley

To the above two people, I will be starting loans next week most likely.   However, neither of you have offered collateral.  Therefore, I would have to deny them.  As for the 2 btc loan request, do you not think that the dice market is flooded enough, and that there are 2 sites that are too big and trusted at this point to compete with?  What separates you just-dice or prime dice?  Certainly not your bankroll. (Not to be rude)

To the person asking for .003, what would you use .003 for?

I remember being a kid, and going fishing for the first time.  I caught a small fish, and after being excited, I was told to "throw it back".  Me, being a child, and not knowing not to take it literally, I heaved it into the water.

The fish did not survive.  Went from excitement, to sadness, in 2.3 seconds.

Lesson learned.

It's an interesting fruit would like to have a taste of  this fruit  Tongue
its small fruit but lots of  sweet  taste in it Smiley

The fruit itself is not sweet.......

It actually tastes pretty nasty.  But it has some proteins in it that attach to the sour receptors on your tongue, and make everything you eat after it sweet.
36  Economy / Gambling / Re: Zero to $10,000 Sports Betting Challenge on: April 24, 2014, 03:57:35 PM
Good luck with this challenge. What if you lose the sum that you made with 200 GH/s mining in 12 hours? You'll mine again and start over? The starting sum seems really small that should take a while Cheesy

I have more btc than that, I am starting really small on purpose.  Its just a fun challenge for me, I figure most people could scrap together this much btc pretty easily, I want to see how high I can make it, and hopefully others will try to, maybe even using me as a referral.

Hello,
New member here from the United States.
I am requesting a loan of 0.024 for groceries until tomorrow 4/25/2014 which is my payday. In which I am buying BTC from LBC.

As for collateral,  I just started scrypt mining and have 35 Gamecoin. And a Cryptsy account worth 0.009 BTC.
I can also provide ID and SSN as well as my employers phone number for employment verification.
This Loan is highly needed by today, so please respond as soon as possible. I have a family of four and I just started this job and it's bothersome having to stress where our next meal is coming from.

Thank you kindly.

By the time you convert this to fiat, it'll either bee tomorrow or you will have paid most of it on fees to cash it out on localbitcoins. Plus your collateral isn't close to what you are asking for. Sorry sir.

I literally tried this last night, and I was not impressed.

Oranges tasted super sweet, but most stuff was just disgusting.

I have a pack of these, they came in a blister pack, We used 2 of the 12.  If anyone wants them, pay for shipping (It's like 1.00) and I will send them.

See you next year  Grin

Its a fun challenge, it will definitely take over a year unless bitcoin rises to 10,000 each.

I remembered Chris Ferguson's challenge on Full Tilt Poker back in the mayday of online poker in the USA, where he started with 0.00, and ran it up to 10,000 to show it can be done using proper management.

The link to his original challenge is here:

40  Other / Off-topic / Re: Cell Family plans on: April 24, 2014, 12:20:43 PM
In general, prepaid plans are much cheaper now than contract family plans.  If you are in the USA, look into the Unlimited talk/text/web prepaid plans, that you can find for 30-40 a month each.

The downside is you have to buy your phone, but it is still much cheaper than  contract plan.  You can buy your phone online, make sure it is for the carrier you plan to use, or that it is unlocked.  It will need to be a phone that runs on the same bandwidth as the carrier you choose, for it to be able to get internet at the speeds the company offers.

When buying a phone online, be sure to do an ESN scan first, to make sure the phone is not reported stolen.
