Two days ago, I sent two transactions.
0.15 Bitcoin, 0.0001 fee, after 48 hours, still not cleared.
2 litecoins, no fee, took my chance, and it was done almost instantly.
I think, bitcoin is not practical to be useful now a days. In contrast, Litecoin can be sued as a currency, and its price is stable, although it keep going down and down.
I agree, I feel that Bitcoin is out of normal people's reach. The fee is 50 cents USD, that is low for international transfer, but too expensive for day to day uses. |

The way to look at it, there are many currencies in the world, US dollar, Euro, Japanese yuan, Canadian dollars ...

Dollar has been so strong lately, why collapse? I mean you have to trust what you see, not theory.
In theory, everybody is devalue their currency, probably Euro will collapse because EU may break up, but it is long shot.

1. Someone else invented a better coin and everybody stop using bitcoin for the better coin.
2. Nobody is mining Bitcoin and network die down.
3 someone buys all the coins and everybody hates him, and stop using Bitcoin

yes that is a fact and there is no doubt about this. i think the stability of the bitcoin is one of the major proof that bitcoin is getting strong than its previous position.
I agree, after halving, the price is so calm, I think bitcoin is quite mature now, not jump 20% then smashed 20% kind of amateur investment any more. |

Anyone who have access to your private key can withdraw coins. Any means to achieve your goal of locking will comprise the security of your private key.
Just sit tied, don't do anything is your best choice. If anybody asking you to lock up your fund he maybe a thief.

Fundamental has changed, there is main stream people accept Bitcoin as a alternative investment, something like Gold, not correlated to stock market.
With two or three ETF investing in Bitcoin seeking SEC approval, I think price will rocky down the road.

I bought it as well. I started buying it when price was 800. I bought 0.05 btc. Then some more when price dropped.
Finally when price was $300, I have 1 coin. I also got done from faucet in between. But coin from faucet can be ignored.

Bitcoin price has been in a small 30 - 40 dollars range for over a Wei now, that is over 150 hours of trading, stuck in 640 and 690.
This is unusual, price is too calm. Expecting some break out soon.

There is failed coup in Turkey, although it failed, it is quite amazing a large number of officers from Army/Navy got arrested. It is predicted more chaos next few days, asset like gold, bitcoin doing well in that environment.
