21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / how to sell own tokens when we have no liquidity for uniswap? on: March 28, 2021, 10:21:10 AM
hello there,

we have a interesting ICO idea but I don't really understand, how funding works.

Simple example (just easy example numbers)

let's say total number of my token is 10'000'000
We need 1'000'000 USD for development

I can create 10'000'000 tokens and in first round, sell only 1'000'000 on uniswap. But when price is 1USD = 1 token, I need to add liquidity in ETH in size of 1'000'000 USD.
Of course, we don't have 1'000'000 USD yet Smiley so..

why the liquidity is needed? can't I only setup one way transaction, like users can only BUY my token, and not to sell it (at the beginning) -> so then, liquidity is not needed but I don't think it is possible.. or is it?

so what are my possibilities? do icodrops like actions?

or can I sell directly?

Users will send me ETH on my ETH address containing my tokens and I will send back at sender address number of tokens?
Like if somebody send me 1'000 USD in ETH, I will send back 1000s of my tokens (1mytoken=1USD) - gas price -> is it possible to do it like this? to don't feed uniswap with their fees at all?

or what are other options? thank you for help...

there is a shortage of really funny movies.. many "comedies" are in a fact some drama or idk.. just trash..

I want to laugh hard and many times so my list:

Ted
Ted 2 (even better than ted, bud watch both)
21 jump street (after 10 minutes)
22 jump street

but If you wanna also TV shows to laugh hard:

the office (USA) - Bitcoin of funny TV shows
coupling (UK) - incredible funny https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0237123/
black books (UK) - also incredible funny
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how would you explain chart like this with your experience in crypto? on: March 18, 2021, 09:48:37 AM
@batang_bitcoin

Well, my idea is to find a coin with incredible small cap and hope to the moon Smiley

@Fatunad

c. I wont trust up any coins that it is only listed on one exchange because once delisted then its game over.

well.. that's a really IMPORTANT advice.. thnx man!

@wxa7115

you must remember that most icos offered discounts for their coins for early adopters which means those people had no incentive to hold their coins long term as they we are already theoretically in profits, so they just wanted out which explains the massive drop

so maybe there is always a risk with ICO. if you didn't get in at 0.001 pre-sale ICO, than don't go there after coin is listed on exchange and wait a little, if the price will not drop.. maybe that is a safer way to deal with ICO right...
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / how would you explain chart like this with your experience in crypto? on: March 13, 2021, 08:27:55 AM
just checking https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/suretly/     (DO NOT BUY! JUST A RANDOM COIN FOR MY STUDY!)

that coin started at 15 USD, fold down.. then classical 2017 rallye up and now it is just 0.15 USD Smiley

a) why it goes so downhill after release? all ICO sell it or what is this a sign of? are all coins with chart like this (first price high, then fall down) a sign of something not going well?

b) what is this enormous high thin peak? some transfer to exchange or? 13th August 2020: 0.03USD -> 13 USD -> back to 0.03USD

c) if the coin is only on hitbtc - is it a scam coin as hitbtc or it can be just a good coin on a scammy exchange or is hitbtc any good? Have read a lot of sad stories on reddit about hitbtc that it is a selective scam or something.. don't know.. using binance so far...
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: checking ICO - example on: March 13, 2021, 07:43:39 AM
@why didn't ask the developer directly by joining on its telegroup?

it's a random coin Smiley I just want to understand the system so to be able to check next coins in future. I was thinking that contact address is the one where millions are stored after ICO
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: checking ICO - example on: March 12, 2021, 06:58:01 AM
hi Yogee,

thanx man! makes sense - I had no idea that we can scan also tokens, not only ether.
btw that coin has only 2377 USD in 200 pankakeswap, 50 belt and 3 BNG = so they didn't get 3'000'000USD at all or they maybe transfered that funds?

some not scammy, serious ICO will hold value of 3'000'000 USD at total tokens?

@zasad,

thank you - looks really pro web site, I'm checking it already
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / checking ICO - example on: March 11, 2021, 09:01:53 AM
hi guys,

I'm interested to find a good ICO and I want to know, if I understand it correctly, what I know so far:

example (random coin on https://coinmarketcap.com) DISCLAIMER - know NOTHING about coin! zero invest! just a random coin for study the ICO

BELT

when I check https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/belt/

I see that they wanted
Fundraising Goal $3,000,000

but when I check their wallet

Contracts Binance Smart Chain
0xE0e514c71282b6f4e823703a39374Cf58dc3eA4f

there is ZERO value on etherscan
https://etherscan.io/address/0xE0e514c71282b6f4e823703a39374Cf58dc3eA4f

but there is a price for coin
Belt Price (BELT)
€146.85

and they are on following markets:
PancakeSwap

BELT/BUSD
€146.84
with volume in 24 hours: €10,661

so my question is:

did they get NOTHING in ICO (like ZERO money) and then, they just added coin on pankakeswap with price 64USD as a start? and now, somebody bought more coins so price is 146USD?

did I got it right? Smiley

31  Other / Beginners & Help / beginner with triggering questions - only real men to answear on: March 10, 2021, 08:56:42 AM
Hi guys,

BUY CHILLZ - TO THE MOOON! - just kidding.. you must love first posts like that, right..?

well, to the business - I'm interested in crypto from 2017 and well, it's up again so also is my interest and I have a few very naive,
beginner guestions, but maybe somebody can give me a good insight. and yes - I care about money (I'm just honest..).

what I believe (and would like to hear input from old crypto guys Smiley

1) BTC - the only future - digital gold. that's it (until quantum computers don't crack it in minutes)

2) all other coins - totally unusable, only good for pump and dump.
Based on:
Cardano as an example of alt coin but don't have to be (I'm HODLing it btw) ->

   a) what is the real usecase? If I wan't to send money, I need price stability -> I will use tether (don't kill me..).
I don't want a coin what is 1USD today but 0.8 or 1.5 tomorrow for real money transfers. So now what.. wait 10 years to cardano has stable price?
Not even my friends want lunch money back in crypto.

   b) It's open source -> anybody can clone it to new coin name and use it so no sense for bigger ecosystem to adapt to cardano.

   c) governments will NEVER approve 3rd party coin for paying (any coin) -> they will create their own coin (very easy with having
so much open source coins already working good) and they will control emission and everything -> it will never be anarchy like
reddit kids are hoping for. only shade market will use tether or BTC for drugs, weapons and good old trafficking of hot 16yo Romania women.

   d) seems like alt coins development guys just taking time and money from it - why it takes so long to develop? like 10 pro developers need 10 years
for creating one coin system based on another working opensource codes? it makes no sense for me..
idea+development+testing = so many years?? with literally 37 BILLIONS invested? ok, that's today price but you got my point - it takes
so unrealistic long all that development.

        e) hype news like talking with (insert random Africa country name) government of implementing it -> really? in Africa? even in EU, most people are not tech savy
enough to use crypto - so africa is the best continent for implementing crypto for daily use? well.. looks shady as f...

3) many ICO state that they collected millions USD pre-sale (or how it is called) -> is there any way to check, if the money was really collected?
I think somebody can create new coin, start ICO campaign and say that 10 millions USD were collected - but is that true? Many investors can invest in
coin when they see that the project is loaded hard (like on kickstarter) but in reality, is the money really there?

So those my thinking about crypto and my last weeks thinking so maybe somebody more experienced will reply or some good discussion will be there, if I see it correctly or
am I missing something..?

thanx...
