With three products already built, it seems the idea has been well tested. It's an interesting concept to reward people for contributing to the success of a dream/project. And to think that distributed teams can be created just like that, it's super cool. There are really massive dreams and goals involved but we never know until we try and I'm glad someone is at least trying.
Thank you! That was very meaningful to me and the team. I honestly don't think we are the first to think up these concepts but we're just doing it. We risked our own money and avoided doing a token sale until we actually built something. You can review our smart contract and token on Github - https://github.com/cityofeden/EDEN-smart-contractsHere's a quick overview: - Add open source solutions to posted technical and creative bounties on projects in Blockchain, Aerospace, Med & Bio Tech and Renewables. Technical contributions are published as open source and remain open and available for others to use at no cost. Verified contributions will be rewarded with EDN Tokens.
Submit new projects and build teams around them to collaborate and execute on projects. As you achieve more within your project you and your team level up and earn more EDN tokens. - Gain access to perform peer review on the blockchain. Validate contributions in the EDEN Distributed Network and get rewarded in EDN tokens.
- Higher level EDN token holders gain higher levels of access and invitations to exclusive events, trips and short term stays to the City of EDEN and eventually permanent residency where you earn competitive salaries, live for free with top amenities and services and work on high level projects with access to bleeding edge research and development facilities.
- EDN Tokens can be used to purchase products and services from EDEN Companies. See all EDEN companies, products and services here.

The world needs a really big project like City of EDEN. How did you guys come up with the name?
Thanks... We agree! EDEN stands for Engineering Design & Entrepreneurship in Nature. Originally we thought of Beta for the name of our company and city because it represented we were never done with our exploration, testing and creation. After sleeping on it Beta didn't seem right so we brain stormed again. I Googled "synonyms for paradise" and Eden was one of the synonyms. At first I didn't really like the name so much but when we came up with the acronym it felt really perfect. If you want to dive deeper we wrote an article on it - http://blog.cityofeden.io/why-we-built-eden/

This project has a really great goal which is to solve many of the world's big challenges while incentivizing people. I think it is a really good idea and could become very valuable.
Do you need to hold EDN tokens to contribute open-source solutions to problems?
Thank you!

Hello! I am editor from icoholder.com. Your IСO was added to our listing and now is available to investors: https://icoholder.com/en/city-of-eden-19350 You can edit your Page by adding more information about your ICO after verification and also verify team members to improve ranking. Thanks! Sounds good!

project looks interesting needs more advertising though
Thanks! We just launched a couple of weeks ago but we're working on spreading the word.

this will be the next popular project smart enough in the promotion and search of a sizeable partner this will make this project a pretty easy success
Thanks! We put product first and have been building hardware and software solutions to some of the world's greatest challenges for over a year.

Does the Problem Solve platform really need the blockchain? The tokens is just like the shares. It's not the real blockchain. Why don't you guys launch the IPO directly? It's more legal and realiable for our normal investors.
We use blockchain in several ways and blockchain is a foundation of our product development. 1) All contributor attribution is run through the blockchain (it means no one else can every claim they created something you did). 2) Peer review on the blockchain (it means we are reducing the fraud and corruption that currently exists in the scientific and medical peer review community. Read this article: https://newrepublic.com/article/135921/science-suffering-peer-reviews-big-problems). 3) All of our products current and future are built with the blockchain. These products include an IoT hardware and software solution, and industrial drone that can lift 270kg and a surgical tool loss prevention hardware and software. Each and every product in EDEN leverages the foundation of the blockchain which is security, trust and transparency. 4) All contracts and agreements in The City of EDEN are smart contracts. Being remember events in Indonesian, a woman named Eden incarnated as Gabriel. Here becomes a token name. Hopefully this token is good and many devotees are not like eden (a fraudster who is imprisoned now). Looking forward to further developments.
Hahaha we have no relation. EDEN stands for Engineering, Design & Entrepreneurship in Nature. It's borrowed from the story in the bible about the Garden of Eden.

cool.
Thanks!

Whats the incentive for token holders? I saw some decay talk in the FAQ that really did not sit easy with me
Decay is exclusively to encourage contributions and activity. Since we are an ERC20 token all token holders are free to store EDN tokens in their preferred wallet with no decay. This is only in relation to tokens stored in the wallet on EDN.

Bounty is empty.
It's being updated now. Sorry for that.

i read the OP and ... well... im not exactly sure what i read? it is kinda off the board and too vast and dosent all come together ... is there a single sentence that can explain this project or is it so convoluted that it takes NASA to understand it? and no i wont be going and opening any links to try and understand what you had free publicity here so it should be here! after all that is what an ANN is all about! and please dont say Sterile medical /bio labs again! it sounds bad repeated 5 or 6 times
Thanks for your feedback too! I added a TLDR at the top. Let me know if it's clearer now.

We are a group of engineers that have already built 3 life changing solutions (hardware + software). We purchased a plot of land at the top of a mountain where we are building a city of engineers that live and work together to solve the worlds problems. We then leverage our distributed community of problem solvers to contribute open source solutions to the projects we are working on and they get rewarded in EDN tokens. These contributions are how we validate people's problem solving abilities and ultimately is our approach to hiring. Residents of The City of EDEN earn competitive salaries and live and eat for free.

As far as I understand, you want to build a city of the future, your infrastructure, your payment instrument, and also engage in scientific and engineering solutions. Excellent! Do you already have investors?
This is absolutely correct. We are not doing a pre-sale. We believe that everyone should have equal opportunity so we did raise a traditional angel round after being self funded for more than a year. We have already built 3 products and have crowdsourced engineering solutions in addition to purchasing the plot of land where The City of EDEN will be.

TL;DR: We bought the top of a mountain to build a city of engineers. The plan is to bring great thinkers and doers together in order to solve the world's greatest challenges. We involve the global community of problems solvers through the EDEN Distributed Network in which people contribute open source solutions to challenges that we publish. Contributors are rewarded through EDN tokens which can be used for free education, engineering and design equipment, trips and residence to The City of EDEN and the end products and services. What we've accomplished: This is more than a nice idea. 9 of us are living the pilot in a rented a property where we have built 3 solutions in IoT, industrial drones and med tech. In addition we've secured key distribution partners to our tech and have purchased the land in which The City of EDEN will be built on.

I am interested in this project. it seems also the blockchain technology has come to solve the nuisance of spam emails which has proven to be a major challenge to email marketers and also in the digital marketing industry in general. Emmares platform is amazing for this issue since it will give marketers a lifeline for this. i highly support the project and i will invest some eth for sure
