21  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true? is The Fed and DEBT-Based Fiat dollars ultimately doomed to fail ?? on: June 08, 2014, 03:53:23 AM
The dollar is now debt based. We can't have money without borrowing it so yes it eventually has to fail.

Well this is the ongoing question. Technically, we can continue to operate on a debt based economy as we have continued to do.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Best way to protect coins on: June 08, 2014, 03:50:22 AM
Hello,
What is the best way to protect your coins? Is there any way to backup your wallet if your computer crashes? Somewhere safe...What are the best practics for protection?..

Research cold storage and multi-sig
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Setting up a server side online wallet on: June 08, 2014, 03:34:28 AM
You want to setup bitcoind. Host would be the IP of your server or 127.0.0.1 if its the same. Port is usually 8332 but you can change that to your needs. Login and password will be set in the config for bitcoind

Yup. Download and configure the Bitcoin daemon. Make sure you secure it well.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wallet API on: June 08, 2014, 03:30:43 AM
That's great, I appreciate the reference, but I still don't know "how" to make those calls except through the debug window typing them by hand.
Im looking for a programatic interface. A way of calling the wallet remotely from Unix shell and getting the result back to the shell.

I am not sure what you are asking? Run the daemon and just make commands as needed i.e. bitcoind getaccount

How you decide to integrate that will depend on your knowledge of computer science. check this out:

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Daily Reminder that All these IPOs are illegal in the United States on: June 04, 2014, 04:06:52 AM
I think a lot of you guys are misinterpreting this thread...I don't have beef with any of the exchanges, coin developers, etc...

I looked over the article and I think this should be a genuine concern for those living in the United States or those servicing USA customers. I really don't think the logistics of it matter...if you're going to call it an IPO then there is only definition as far as the law is concerned. This isn't the first time this has happened either.

Draw your own conclusions guys. SEC definitely has their eyes on this forum and it wouldn't surprise me to see the ban hammer coming down on all these "developers" and their IPOs

Give it a try guys: http://www.rubycoin.org/lab

Only 125,000 Rubycoins (or ~ 1 BTC) to get your very own altcoin, fully loaded with a Windows wallet, Bittrex listing, 2 permanent nodes, and all the trimmings.

Not bad.

Too much

I agree. 1 BTC is too much for the full package; however, it's pretty easy to host your own node, ask Bittrex to add your coin, and find someone to port the linux wallet to windows for .10 BTC

dev is a fucking moron. he wants to hold a 42,000 pre-mine and set the block rewards at 15. ROFL

what incentive is there even to mine this right now? it's a fucking joke. the block reward literally could not be any worse.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTCX]LiteCoinX X11 Anonymous No IPO Premine 0.05% on: May 28, 2014, 07:20:20 PM
dev is a fucking moron. he wants to hold 2,800 blocks worth of pre-mine with a block reward of only 15? yeah, i am out
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTCX]LiteCoinX X11 Anonymous No IPO Premine 0.05% on: May 28, 2014, 07:16:03 PM
so......the developer has 42,000 coins pre-mined....a number that would take the network 2 weeks as a whole to mine......ROFL

Premines are now the norm.

Barely a year back any coin with any kind of premine was guranteed to die a fast death.

the problem isn't the pre-mine. a 0.05% pre-mine is pretty god damn conservative as far as pre-mines go. the problem is that the block rewards are too low and too slow...

ITT: people that can't read

calm down folks...as far as fair launches go this is the best you're going to get. all pools are online and running, wallet works, mining works, dev was kind enough to keep block rewards at 1 for the first 200 blocks so we all have time to prepare.

You assholes  got what you wanted (Y) deterring a non scammer to quit nice congrats

We have no way of knowing you are a "non scammer".  Every new account says they are honest, and so many of them aren't.

I've also noticed that "non scammers" generally understand the dynamics of trust
and don't take it personally... while the actual scammers call people assholes
and throw temper tantrums when they don't get what they want.

Not a scammer please stay out of my thread if your not interested in buying half ownership further post will result in harrasment. Im mising front teeth started a poker site to maybe earn in teh long run the money for those teeeth replacements and I come up short.

Do not post in this thread.

Confirmed for scammer. Report

Hello Shibe- community,

could anybody explain me the actuel shibe situation?

Where is the problem with this nice coin?  Devs seem pretty good, wallet is perfect, not so many coins?
Could really get more interesting then doge.

I am intersted in investing Wink

Thanks for information.

I'll gladly give you the truth.

As of right now, it genuinely appears that the devs want the coin to succeed. They have hung around throughout the various major bugs, offered fixes, set-up external forums, active in IRC, etc.... They are in this for the long haul

Now, lets discuss the problems

1. PoS is completely broken. It works for some people but for hundreds of others it doesn't work. The wallet has literally been upgraded 5 times in the last 7 days and still none of them are fully functional. Someone is going to call me a retard saying how it works for them and how I just need to use the -salvagewallet and -sync command etc etc....fact of the matter is, staking simply still doesn't work for A LOT of people

2. there was a small pre-mine of 1.5 mill which is fine. the issue is another 7 mill was mined before this thread was announced and it was mined on blocks with significantly higher block rewards. the devs say it was a pool or early adopters from IRC or something. i don't care what their response is frankly. the blockchain doesn't lie. make of it what you will

with that said, i like the concept. hopefully it will stabilize once they fix wallet issues

Seriously.   No trolling.  Why is this coin trying to associate with doge but on IRC attack doge?  Whats the deal?  Trying to take over doge community?  Like that community just needs to worship a shibe???

Or just to recycle the images because thats easier.

Why not a monkey or a duck??

who knows. this admin loq is one of the biggest retards I have ever met. here you have a coin with a lot of potential but this idiot can't muster up the intelligence to piece together a coherent sentence or two and keep the community updated. as you can see in the reply below, this guy doesn't know shit.

BREAKING NEWS
Developer loq private convo's leaked:

r0ach: loq the coin is tanking, is there anything you can do?

loq: ha, kiddo

loq: You really think I care?  I've got other to do.

r0ach: what about the wallet? And the Shibends?

loq: idc if the wallet stakes for anyone else, works for me. And I made up all that crap about shibe dividends, you people just want free money? All you do is cry....

loq: I got mine and that is all that matter.

r0ach: I can't believe you! I invested everything I had in this coin, I'm losing it all! I won't be able to get my operation now! You lazy jerk.

loq: You were born with a 2 inch stub, just deal with it.

r0ach: I believed in you, your destroyed me and my finances life!

loq: Take comfort that her vag will never be destroyed.

total idiot. doesn't know anything about alt-coins or life

Dump dump dump  Shocked

I look at the sell order and lol..and the total order is not even up to 0.3BTC. It shows clearly that people are holding, soon my Chinese friends will realized that mining SYNC it's same as mining Bitcoin.

I hope people are holding like this in 4 days remaining   Smiley
This is insane X11 net hash I never seen  Grin
Good job SYNC!

That's why i dont want it on exchange until after PoW..clearly someone is fooling people to dump.

Yes I agree, bittrex always added new coin on their site by never asking dev. That why I always hate bittrex.

why would you have to ask the dev?
