I'm sorry but I don't think you quite understand the concept, it is not a P&D it is a coin being set up by a few of us as a Fun idea. We don't care what you guys do with the coin, have fun with it. Were not just going to be stupid and dump all of our coins.

Hi guys sorry for late replies and inactivity I have been rather busy lately.

Lets clear some things up if I may

Firstly thank you for all the support from you guys trying to help

Secondly FunCoin is not designed to be the next BlackCoin or DogeCoin it's just meant to be a good fun coin to play with. I currently don't have the knowledge of coding to be able to do X11, but if it is the same as scrypt cloning then I may be able to do this, if this would make you guys happy.

Hey I was wondering if you could help me out if your not to busy.

I am in the middle of creating a coin however I am getting stuck on the part when you have to create a Merkle Hash. I type in on the Ubuntu terminal: ./"name" -testnet

However instead of getting the error like

Assertion failed: (block.hashMerkleRoot == uint256("0x")), function LoadBlockIndex, file main.cpp, line 2031.
zsh: abort ./"name"

I get an error that says "name": main.cpp:2048: bool LoadBlockIndex(bool): Assertion 'Block.hashMerkleRoot == uint256("0x............loads of of numbers")' failed. Aborted (core dumped)

A ."coinname" file does not get created.

Got any suggestions?

Hi guys I am in development of a new coin at the moment called FunCoin, however I am having issues with running -testnet and creating a Merkel Hash
and the other steps after that. Is it possible for someone to give me a hand with it or help me out! Thanks. Will post my error message I am getting in a moment.

I understand your feelings towards the creation of alt coins as I know there are literally hundreds. However FunCoin is a coin that is mostly run by the community not the us the Developers. We will be taking ideas from the community the whole time.

FunCoin is a unique coin in that we don't have aims for what applications we want to use it in, we want to let people decide what they want to use it for. Whether it be as a gift to children or trading small items in real life or saying thanks for a favor someone has done to you.

Hey there, no this is my only account.

Our unique selling point is that we are going to try and bridge the gap with people who are on the edge with crypto currencies. Many people have only seen negative opinions on crypto currencies, to name a few; MtGox, Silk Road etc.

Many people are unsure about the concept. We aim to make it exciting and fun to do, a coin you can have a laugh with and use for general things in life like sending small gifts to friends etc.

We have a couple of projects in mind also.

We strongly believe that Crypto currencies should be about having fun not just about the seriousness of big investors etc. We want to appeal to all generations from kids to grand parents and parents. Parents could tip their kids in FunCoin instead of small pocket money, kids can trade with their friends in exchange for things that kids do.
