it seems that the most btc providers are expanding their business operations. New ones are replacing the old, failed ones. Overall activity doesn't seem to be up. Bitstamp's not expanding, its doing less business since the hack.

Thats why I paid for Zirkcoin.org and paid for hosting to help this coin carry on if the Dev does disappear.
Did none of you realise that the Dev acknowledged that I did this?
It was mentioned a few pages back.
I am supporting this coin to help make sure it does not fail.
So you're the new skipper? Let me know how I can help. Also please check my last posts on your EXC threads, Both on BCT and CCT. He's kept extreme coin running for over a year, so has demonstrated he provides long term support.

So how about the people that dont have Ads in their signature ? Dont we get anything ?
The OP hates signatures with a passion. There is no way I believe he's going to pay out to anyone, sig or no sig.

Support just confirmed MOTO is removed from the delisting list, so it will stay.
That's good news. We could do with getting on more exchanges in case c-cex does ever remove Motocoin.

Already done
Britcoin and Sterlingcoin
Both Britcoin and Sterlingcoin said they were supposed to be widely accepted in the UK, and neither of them are. Why should CGBP be different?

Good, we should all send something to the bounty fund in gratitude for this.

It's interesting you say this, I'm not sure if I agree with you on the methology they could have been using and I'm also not sure what that would be but... it's very odd to see a large spread between exchanges on high volumes of sales as occured today, if I remember correctly vast amounts of bitcoins were dumped on bitstamp to the point where stamp was around $160 whilst btc-e was around 188 (about 15%) in fact non of the other exchanges were tanking any where near as hard.
The reason I say it's odd is because it makes no sense for a large bitcoin holder to sell in such a way as it's trivial to move bitcoins to multiple exchanges and sell at the same time thus eliminating the need to lose anywhere near like 15% relative to market value on other exchanges.
A holder then only has to wait until they feel the market is going to settle for the next 20 minutes to convert the USD back into Bitcoin and send it back to the exchange they have bank accounts set up with.
I noticed this and it was my thoughts exactly +1 +1 The btc-e price is usually lower than the other exchanges. It's very odd for it to be higher.

Does anyone here have a reputable source to infer trading volumes? I hear since July Evo & Aroga BTC volume is much higher than SR 2.0 (MUCH > $8mil/month as the FBI estimated)
Not a Tor user, so don't know general fee structure, but lets say it was roughly 1%, that's only $80,000/month the admins/staff would have been taking - still lucrative, enough to invest in seizure-mitigation
I never used tor but SR2.0 must have been making big money. The Irish times says €180,000 worth of drugs were seized together with bitcoin valued at around $2.5 million. I guess most of the bitcoins were siezed from the Irish supplier. http://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/dublin-and-us-main-focus-of-darknet-drug-site-takedown-1.1992173While LSD and ecstasy valued at around €180,000 was seized when gardai moved in on Wednesday on a business premises on Dublin’s South Circular Road allegedly being used as a drugs distribution hub by the main Irish suspect, bitcoin valued at around $2.5 million has been seized in the global operation.

well WTF am I missing here ebay/paypal announces they are gonna take Bitcoin and usd price has dropped to $466 wtf am I missing here..jeez
What you're missing is that ebay/paypal hasn't announced that they are going to take bitcoin. Once they do actually announce they will be accepting bitcoin it might be a different story, but until it actually happens I wouldnt hold my breath. A paypal subsidiary called braintree will probably use bitcoin a a mobile phone payment option, but ebay/paypal is not considering bitcoin at the moment.

Falllling will not exist here until his ban is over. You guys are too presumptuous. falllling has been (temporarily) banned yesterday, and currently he's creating a couple new accounts to spam with which I'm nuking (post deletion and ban). Too bad for him, because that will only make rehabilitation of his main account worse.
Unfortunately there's no indication of when a user is banned, a feature I wish this forum had.
PS: You'd do a lot more good if you simply reported offending posts/threads, because that notifies me. Report button is at the bottom right corner. (Noone in this thread has reported anything the past 3 days).

A scenario is just a possibility of what someone imagines may happen. There are worst cases, best cases and plenty of other cases in between. I don't think any scenarios can either be false or true, they are just guesses of what might happen.

Looks like lower lows will have to wait for now
Last time there was bullish div on 4h was just before the rise from $440. This time it's also compounded with the PayPal news (although I'm not sure how much, if any, effect that will have).
Do you think the price will go generally up from here, or do you expect some lower lows in the coming weeks?
