I love the 30GH and Jalapeno its just too bad my 30GH sounds like a jet engine.  Currently I'm waiting for some acoustical foam.  For any of you waiting for your butterfly equip consider setting up a box with acoustical foam and the proper air flow

so true, even with a Jalap my sleep is screwed that little. I dream of solved blocks
23  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is cloudhashing.com a scam?? on: November 07, 2013, 07:00:43 AM
I've been paid too. It seems more they have solved problems taking too long, that's the reason ppl got enraged.
Poor communication, lot of trolls, (very) below average service. After so many gossip (rumors) in bitcoin industry (BFL, Avalon and sons) it's like they (CH) plunged in bad waters.
But, hey, it's a choice.
(Well, the truth is that my CH ROI is being fulfilled   Roll Eyes
But still have to transfer them to my wallet...)

after the brightest morning with GHS to 0.145 , now it's falling as predicted. With some walls left behind. Let's wait and see

I'm wonder if the increase in bitcoin value explains the increase in GHS - .145...is just insane... that's more expensive than buying machines off ebay.

4me too soon to explain, let's wait few hours...could be last shake before falling back to proper ranks

My CH balance is updated every 8 hours, it's scoring ~90% of theoretical performance.
Let's wait and see a full week mining

There is a 10% fee, or were you already calculating that?

oops I did forget
good, so everything is working right now

So this is the new miner's game now Smiley

Well, I'll still keep my physical rig and I can't see me getting rid of it for a while. The mining difficulty with BTC is already prohibitive and maybe when it really gets almost impossible to make any sort of reasonable return (that's probably about now in all honesty) I'll look into mining other coins, but I haven't found any pools that look attractive yet so maybe when I find something I like I'll make the switch from BTC to something else. But for now I'll be adding to my rig when my Blue Furies arrive and in the meantime, adding to my CEX account as there's nothing quite like it for flexibility.

It's a good observation you make, I think you're right, this is the new miners game now.

Smiley
Truth!
Adding to OleOle's post, nothing replaces the enjoyment/experience of owning, managing & tweaking your own farm.

yeah great stuff! too bad we can't choose mining pool..yet Wink
but, hey, they have families too
32  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO on: October 28, 2013, 09:16:15 AM
its so early after the difficulty change that there's plenty of time for the price to drift up before the ritual super crash that happens a few days before the next difficulty change. it seems like ppl are buying and selling more rationally this difficulty period. we would have been past the .1 wall had it not been undercut all day. Once the .1 wall gets eaten up, no resistance til .103-.104. if we break past that, .119 is gonna happen again Smiley just curious as to how soon this will happen. hopefully Monday volume (workplace traders) moves the book along quickly. i don't see the market moving past those giant orders at .13 and .14, however. thats a gambler's buy.

Green

well, 1.04 is done.
Next step at 0.10789, more than 75 BTC :#

35  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.3.0: modular ASIC/FPGA, GBT, Strtm, RPC, Lnx/OpnWrt/PPA/W64, BitFury on: October 26, 2013, 09:40:35 AM
A simple question: every time I start BFGminer all my pools specified in .conf file start mining together.
Is there an option I can add in .conf file to disable unwanted pools?
thx

sounds like. they should invest more on site management  Huh
37  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: October 25, 2013, 08:51:35 AM
With cex.io you simply go to https://cex.io/, create an account, deposit some BTC and then start trading GH/s. While you are holding GH/s it is actually mining BTC for you via GHash.io.
Don't forget to say that the price of 1 GH/s dropped from 0.12 to 0.09 in 1 day...
I use cex.io too, and to me the only way to earn something is to play with the market (buying GH/s hoping the price go a little up and then selling them), but you need a lot of time to do that.
Mining does not balance the price drop.

It's getting dangerous at this point, if GHS price will not rise again.
Will be more and more difficult to resell GHS. If you look at Cex.io TOTAL BTC/GHS you'll notice that few people are buying, am I right? Never saw more than 600BTC
I bought at 0.19 in late september and enjoyed the rise to 0.25, I was lucky to resell at 0.18 and buy at 0.12, but now I think it's too late for such games.
Perhaps there is a minimal (world) price for GHS. I'll wait till next diff shift
38  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: October 25, 2013, 08:43:27 AM
Working for me, after 1 full day spent on the buggy interface web page, I got in.
And, well, there was something interesting there: some GH more and some BTC, they really reinvested. I transfered quickly to cex.io  Cool
As far as I know this is the only company doing this (Hashrack claim to have same policy but, hey, it's almost november)
Will resell this contract if needed eventually.
not SO bad after all

I get the impression the Pool website has been rushed to market to stop us all moaning that nothing is happening. However, I am expecting the site to improve significantly over the next few weeks to give us better stats, options, etc

Fingers crossed ....

same feeling
