21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: My body, my choice is the new : just do it ! on: August 10, 2021, 09:01:29 AM
Your body is your own, agreed. But your body cannot just be your own if it is a danger to people around you. Rights go with an obligation.
22  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signal trap, a self-conscious scam on: August 09, 2021, 08:17:02 AM
My experience with a paid signal group made me almost hate trading. I lost my money and came out empty-handed because I relied on their "expertise" and didn't bother to learn how to analyze the chart and learn from mistakes. Luckily I met someone that rook me up and taught me the basics of trading.

My simple advice is that there is no shortcut to trading. Make out time to go and learn and see yourself grow to become a better trader with constant practice and subsequent experience.
23  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Abortion should be banned. on: August 08, 2021, 12:16:04 PM
The only condition on which I can support abortion is when the pregnancy is confirmed to be a threat to the life of the mother. Otherwise, abortion should not be legalized.
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What motivates you to start investing in cryptocurrency? on: August 06, 2021, 10:07:46 AM
I have been hearing about cryptocurrency (BTC in particular) for a long time before I decided to invest in it. What piqued my interest is that despite all the disparaging comments made about bitcoin by supposed economic experts and governments' agencies, it continued to soar higher and attracted more interest from people from all works of life and race. That was what motivated me to get into the mix and see what it is really about.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never Trade On Emotions on: August 05, 2021, 08:39:58 AM
Trading with emotions can be devastating, but sometimes you simply get lost in it. I had a personal experience in it some time ago. What I was trading then was FX. There was this particular day I took heavy risks and luckily they paid off handsomely. The next day I tried to repeat the same trick, but unfortunately, it backfired this time around. In anger, I continued trying to recover what I had lost in the first trade, but I kept on losing until I nearly emptied my account that day.

It was that day that I really understood why one should not trade with emotions whether happy or sad
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why safemoon fail or scam project on: August 04, 2021, 08:10:41 AM
It did landed on the moon. If you missed the moon landing, that's your problem.

You thought the people we sent to the fokin moon were going to stay there forever? No, of course. There is not enough oxygen and water on the moon! People had to go back to the earth where they originally live.

That's why safemoon went to the moon and safely went back to the eart.

Mission accomplished.  Cool

This is the meanest but at the same time the aptest explanation I have read on this thread concerning the safemoon project  Grin
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: lost my punks and a bunch of ETH on: August 03, 2021, 06:15:08 PM
This is a beginner's mistake, no matter what someone says "I am in crypto from 2017", it does not mean that he has learned at least some basic things. No matter which wallet you use, a backup in the form of a seed or just a private key is something that is not kept at your fingertips so that you can retrieve it at any time.

Exactly my thought! I am not yet experienced in crypto, but I know that falling prey to phishing sites is one of the things that has been knocked into my head by the person that introduced me to it. It is quite appalling reading that a developer fell for it.
28  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Demographics of the Vaxxnazis targets is ideal ! Forward to the 3rd Dose ! on: August 03, 2021, 08:49:18 AM
All these people that love to thrive in conspiracy theories I wonder what you intend to achieve from them. Vaccinated or not is just a matter of choice. All these talks about mind control and poisoning are just idle talk to me.

Go down history lane and you will find that this type of conspiracy theory is not new whenever a drug for a pandemic is produced.
29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Beginner Dilemma] What's the truth? Confidence/Arrogance on: August 02, 2021, 05:48:39 PM
Confidence comes from experience one gets from successfully achieving set goals over time. The more successful you are in executing tasks and achieving your set target, the more confident you get.

However, this confidence can easily turn to arrogance if you allow pride to take over. Once you mix pride and confidence, the result is that you will see yourself as being infallible. Nobody knows it better than you do and you would no longer have patience for anyone who does not know it as much as you do. Even those who are supposed to know better than you do will no longer look smart to you. That is what arrogance does.

Confidence+humility+respect= better knowledge and more growth.
30  Other / Off-topic / Re: Name a boxing world champion on: August 02, 2021, 11:21:26 AM
hehehehe...I am sure you are not serious. You do not just come out of the blues and start challenging a world boxing champion on social media and expect them to take you seriously, you fight your way up to earn the right.
31  Other / Off-topic / Re: Yoghurt on: August 02, 2021, 09:14:57 AM
Reading this reminded me of the first time I took yogurt. I was about 9 years old then and my mom wanted to buy ice cream for us. I saw a well-dressed young man taking and I decided that was what I was going to take.

When I requested for it, my mom asked me if I was sure if that was what I wanted because my favorite raspberry flavor ice cream was available, but I insisted on yogurt. When I received my yogurt and took the first bite, I wanted to throw up thinking that the ice cream had soured Smiley.

I couldn't say anything because I had been forwarned. I didn't want to add beating to my disappointment  Grin.
I ended up throwing the yogurt away while stifling a cry.
32  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ConspiracyPRO : they need to inject everyone to destroy proof of control group. on: August 02, 2021, 07:20:20 AM
ConspiracyPRO
The strange thing is that I have not heard about the (possible) existence of CMs in this forum, when they are all over the internet.

Well for obvious reasons, if they exist here they wouldn't make their presence (and mission) known to all.
33  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you buy this book for your kids? on: August 01, 2021, 09:45:16 PM
It is a good idea to introduce your kids to ideas that will be beneficial to them later in life. But the problem is, will it help the child's brain to develop as it should? I doubt it. This is because children learn by what they come in contact with physically. Blockchain technology is too abstract for them to understand what you are talking about.

Focus on the primary goal of the forum, join helpful discussions and grow your knowledge base,

This is actually my main reason for joining this forum. Being a new entrant in BTC, I am eager to learn as much as I can to help me build my investment wisely. Any other thing that comes from being a member of this forum is just an addition.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I feel like there is no way to keep up on: August 01, 2021, 04:39:08 PM

With bitcoin going up in price. To eventually own just 1 bitcoin. I've been buying periodically over time... I'm no where close.

For me, this is the best approach. There is no need to invest all you own at once in a bid to increase the quantity. What I do is to add a little more whenever there is a dip. I don't have heavy funds to invest heavily, so I try to use strict risk management guidelines.

36  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I just know this site and it's too good to be true. on: August 01, 2021, 04:08:19 PM
I guess it is very clear that this investment plan is a scam. What kind of investment can guarantee 11% interest within a short period of 48 hours.

Yeah, it is possible for one to do a deal and make such a profit with that time frame, but it is not a guarantee and it can't be on a regular basis. And for them to promise their clients 11% in 24hrs, that means they are making more than that within the said period.
37  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Social media's impact to the growth of crypto currency on: August 01, 2021, 12:58:06 PM
Social media is a vehicle that can be used to reach out to a larger audience or market. That is why it has been very useful in growing the popularity and acceptance of BTC and other cryptocurrencies around the world. Paradoxically, it has also been the reason why BTC is being slowed down in its march towards achieving the full potentials it has.

But IMO, if you can avoid greed, educate yourself by reading widely, and doing proper research, social media will be of great benefit to you in your crypto business.
38  Other / Politics & Society / Re: An apology to all the vaxxers here. on: July 31, 2021, 10:14:38 PM
I do not really get your drift, but the fact is that COVID-19 is real and vaccination is helping a lot of people. However, there are people that seem to have natural immunity against this virus. It is not unheard of to see people mingle with people that have an infectious disease and not get infected.

If you are lucky enough to avoid getting infected with diseases, even HIV, you should not rub it on the face of those that may not have an immune system that is as "strong" as yours.

It is always encouraging to read these kinds of posts. It helps us the newbies to know how to post constructively, enjoy our experience here, and not focus solely on getting merits.
40  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you handle stress? on: July 31, 2021, 08:57:25 PM
For me, when I am stressed there are 3 things I normally do.

1) Play games

2) Read a novel (my favorites are international espionage or crime thriller)

3) Go out for a drink.

Any one of them helps me to relax and clear my head
