21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After a few months of China crackdown on mining. Check it out! on: October 22, 2021, 02:39:37 PM
As how I've given it a closer look on China's way of control system, they totally go against any innovations or inventions not initiated by them, 99.9% of their economy produce and services offered from generated within their circle, infact dey have their own Google and other ip address does not work in china, never forgetting learning Chinese is also a prerequisite for anyone there.

China has its own digital Yuan and it will be difficult for them to allow any form of currency other than thier own to outrun theirs, and they have even given a verdict to eradicate all mining rigs before December end this year. They want no elements of trace to all crypto activities.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador Bitcoin payment option on: October 22, 2021, 09:04:04 AM
El Salvador Bitcoin payment option mandatory but people can decide to accept fiat

What some people do not like about El Salvadorian government move is that they made bitcoin a legal tender, that it should have just been a legal form of payment instead of making it a legal tender. In El Salvador, anything government make a legal tender can be used as payment of goods and services while marchants and other dealers must accept it as a form of payment. But when I read news today, I later knew that Bitcoin payment is mandatory but yet optional, the payment can be in Bitcoin but marchants can decide to either accept Bitcoin or fiat, the transaction will be processed automatically in accordance to what chooses by the recipient.

El-Savador has a clearer understanding of how economy policies should be run considering human rights, it is expected not to be imposed (mandated) on the people but an option for individual to choose between the fiat and the bitcoin transactions, everyone has equal right and not to be deprived of, the government has done its own act by endorsing bitcoin a legal tender but one cannot expect the whole populace to immediately effect the utilization, else this Will need a little space of time before it overall circulation and acceptability by the citizens.

Atimes we intend to look for trouble while everything is working perfectly as expected, life has it own rule of game which is don't expect harvest where you don't plant, if you buy an existing account from someone with the mentality to bye cut the due process or kyc terms not knowing how the account was built, its kyc details, activities carried out on the account and how to maintain the account will be a challenging threat to the new user, going by instructions and due process required to build up a new account is what should be priotized for at first, buying an existing account if traced and tracked down on a criminal record and activities then the new user will pay for the consequence.

How on Earth can you accept someone's biodata informations yours?
Why can't you be patient and buid your own account reputation?
It is also believed that customer's kyc informations should be secured with any third party agent as individuals right for privacy should be maintained according to the law.

The rule is simple:
Work hard
Earn from your labour
Build a reputation
Develop trust in yourself
Increase you capacity
Learn and make research
Avoid hastening/rush
Dont be greedy
Buying an existing account can cost you more than it can pay you.

25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first time using a Bitcoin ATM on: October 20, 2021, 12:31:51 PM
So first off, I was asked a phone number for a verification code and then, I had to scan my Bitcoin address QR code. I then inserted 100$ of liquid money into the machine and recieved a notification on my phone telling me that the transaction went through successfully.
What an interesting experience, though am yet to physically see anyone yet but base on what we read and search online, i initially thought its only meant to perform transactions without the ability to accept cash or dispense cash, these features you made mention the ATM perfom makes it uniqueness more outstanding for multiple usage. Thanks you.
26  Economy / Economics / Role of Blockchain Technology in Africa's Economy on: October 20, 2021, 12:14:10 PM
As the era of digitalization of (crypto) continue to gain new trends in taking over the world economy system with the highest population (users), it is also a relevant point to understand the technique involved behind it which is "Blockchain Technology". The Blockchain technology is currently used across various industries like supply chain, healthcare, retail, media and advertising, financial services, insurance, travel and transportation, oil and gas, and gaming.

The blockchain is an immutable (unchangeable, meaning a transaction or file recorded cannot be changed) distributed digital ledger (digital record of transactions or data stored in multiple places on a computer network) with many use cases beyond cryptocurrencies.

The blockchain platform is a promising venture for many entities because of its authorization and ability to record transactions and company engagements accurately.

Types of Blockchain
1. Public Blockchain
2. Private Blockchain
3. Hybrid Blockchain or Consortium
4. Sidechains

With the use of Blockchain Technology and it application, a new technical development is set as Africa’s Digital Economy is said to be one of the leading in Cryptocurrency growth and the use of Blockchain technology to help drive the growth of African businesses. Recently, one of the most well recognized integrated digital payment and e-commerce company, "Interswitch Group" has unveiled its whitepaper on blockchain titled “Blockchain Technology:

The white paper document contains details on how businesses can leverage blockchain technology to transform their businesses and the prospects it portends for the future of Africa’s digital economy.
Also this development was inspired by the need to demystify the ambiguity around blockchain technology for African businesses thereby driving digitization and socio-economic growth across African markets.

Am convinced the use of Blockchain Technology system in Africa's businesses and economy at large will place a delicable impact and stand a game changer of fiat traditional system to digital Blockchain Technology system.

27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we accelerate the mass adoption of crypto? on: October 19, 2021, 03:30:50 PM
The mass adoption can also be accelerated by active involvement in Cryptocurrency and ensuring all related elements of scam is totally avoided, educating the rural settings, community, organizing crypto exhibition show, talent acquisition, free crypto tutorial then the respective governments too will develop interest towards it adoption, also i think most countries dont see crypto as a game changer to better boost of their economy else they would have supported it enhancement impact to rehabilitate a dilapidating system.

30  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are covid “vaccines” giving people AIDS? Immune system functions are dropping... on: October 18, 2021, 09:34:32 AM
This has been a serious and contentious issue as I've also come across several news thread talking about the aftermath of covid 19 patients to have placed a particular lingering illness on them ever since their discharge. Why will the patients develops more symptoms after the administration of all necessary treatment of covid 19.

Firstly, could it be as a result of the older ones above the age of 60yrs who might have developed vulnerability to lower immune system due to old age?

Secondly it the covid 19 vaccine not placing an indelible dent of systemic infection or disorder that poses a short or long term toxic concentration dose effect on patients? I want to believe there's no hidden future revelation regarding covid 19 vaccine administration on human health placing high risk on the systemic, organs or any body mechanism malfunctioning Half of COVID survivors experience lingering symptoms 6 months after recovery

34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Bitcoin stands to gain when the government prints more currencies on: October 16, 2021, 03:53:27 PM
The government just don't go ahead printing money as they want, there are stipulated protocols, agencies amd policies it entangled in, else printing excessive currency will cause a great eruption of economy instability, unemployment, inflation, decrease GDP, interest rate and affect the supply of money.

But for a successful balance between Government way of money print and the era of digital asset "bitcoin" we have a control system of the government fiat system called the "Monetary Authority" which ensure the adequacy of currency prints, control and effect the policy for central print. While Bitcoin on it own edge has the sacrifice of efforts required to mine it, else the richest country would have been the ones with the highest currency print. You can as well read further on Monetary Authority

After series of vital information given on how to secure one's privacy from the members of the forum, I've taken a step further in research for various related topics all taking on the use of coinjoin, wasabi wallet and running a "full nod"  though these may be tasking and financial demanding. But for the sake of newbies who are kin to learning, ive come across this wonderful article that theoretically explained the whole process. Protect your bitcoin through privacy
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Privacy while making use of Bitcoin on: October 15, 2021, 08:46:39 AM
Considering how often i make bitcoin transactions this days on several occasions and different purpose, I've come to think of it that do i really have privacy with all these transactions am doing?... then i begin to run a research on how to secure my privacy on bitcoin transactions which birth to writing these thread.

It is believed that tracing Bitcoin wallet address/transactions is pseudo-anonymity meaning it may and may not be traceable with the use of forensic analysis as all transaction records were stored on a public ledger on the block chain which anyone can see.

It is paramount to note that seing the transactions that occur on the public ledger of block chain technology is not tantamount to revealing the details for the Bitcoin transaction and the public keys but can lead to, although multiple addresses can be linked up using the blockchain for lookup.

Otherwise, Virtual Assets Service Providers (VASP) has the transaction details of Bitcoin addresses linked on the block chain technology with exchanges, custodial wallets, and custodians which provide cryptocurrency services to retail users and businesses in which all the required details of know your customer (KYC) given at the registration point can be use to trace your real world identity.

Transactions can be traced using the app Coinpath® app which is efficient in tracing Bitcoin transactions and Bitquery explorer use to track money flow in graphical representation all on the block chain technology, while simple payment verification (SPV) which connects to the central server is also a challenging factor regarding privacy.

Let’s see an example of an hacker on how to trace bitcoin transactions using Coinpath® technology.

The bitcoin address mentioned here belongs to the hacker —bc1qxy2kgdygjrsqtzq2n0yrf2493p83kkfjhx0wlh

Coinpath® APIs give you all the source and destination addresses that sent or received transactions from any bitcoin address. image below shows the top 10 addresses, which received bitcoins from the hacker’s address.

As we can see, a Binance exchange wallet received the transaction from the hacker’s address. However, the hacker used multiple intermediate wallets before sending money to the Binance wallet.
Using the Binance KYC solution, we can identify who received this money and conduct further investigation as the details and identity of the user can be given.

Knowing fully how privacy can be difficult on exchanges, centralized services and SPV wallets, are there possible means one can use non custodial wallet like SPV and still maintain having privacy? Also i understand how this can be wrongly abused by scammers but for the sake of respective corporate and individual's personal desire for privacy not to be overlooked.

38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is important for a country? or not... on: October 14, 2021, 07:13:44 PM
To me i see Cryptocurrency as an eye opener to the traditional Fiat system and its bring in lots of opportunities that provide suitable solution to developing countries in terms of their economy stability, indepency, reduction of inflation, hoading of commodites, decentralization of currency, employment, digital asset, less cost for transaction charges, fast and reliable exchanges, infrastructural development among others.

You don't have to rely on government policy and protocols before you can carryout your daily business transactions and securing your assets, its a freedom liberation era whereby individuals has control over the system as to when and how to operate it. Cryptocurrency is one of the eye opener to stable economy.
The only main challenges is that it may not be effectively utilize by the remote areas as it need a tech-wise experience and the idea of third party to be involved is not a good idea, then the scam involved can be discouraging especially on newbies.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putin believes Bitcoin has value on: October 14, 2021, 06:57:16 PM
Russia is adopting a different attitude towards cryptos than China. President Putin has come public saying "Bitcoin has value but it cannot be used in the Oil trade"

I guess Putin didn't still fully grasp the real potential of cryptos as he says
Quote
“Cryptocurrency is not supported by anything as of yet. It may exist as a means of payment, but I think it’s too early to say about the oil trade in cryptocurrency.”
But even so, it shows that Russia seems to be adopting a friendly position facing cryptocurrency and it may be having some impact on the industry. Given that China adopted a harsh position towards cryptos, is it possible that miners are relocating from China to Russia? Is it possible for Russia to step up to occupy the former place China had in Bitcoin? I guess this is what is happening, otherwise, Putin wouldn't come public with such a neutral position.

Infact i can't just believe how china is taking it uneasy on Cryptocurrency infact to the point of tracing users and blocking every possible means, as for Russia i think they have upper edge in accepting crypto activities going on and the acceptability of Bitcoin for oil payment and transactions has a long way to go for now but its possible whereby the countries in which such exchange be done must both have adopted and legalized Bitcoin and can then be used as an exchange for oil (Bitcoin-oil) exchange.
