Can you organize a group buy for SP30 September batch Roadstress? I'm sure folks would be interested if the price was right.
I am interested to participate in a group buy. A friend of mine, that is into mining big time, will also be interested. I just got started in this thing and I think he is jealous about how fast I have moved...HeHe

I am already mining with various equipment haggled for on EBAY and I am pulling 180 mh/s out of it over at Slushy. 6 Th/s well that is a dream!

I have discovered that I need more efficiency to grow the way I want to. Buying used singles and cubes on Ebay will max out my power consumption in my home in no time...I only have a 200 amp service HeHe...my current efficiency sucks. The only way I could get started was to buy equipment at a reasonable investment to try and get an ROI in 3 or 4 months. This Yukon will blast my projections....lets do this thing!

Hello Fellow Bitcoin Forum Readers...

How do you folks organize your wallets? I just started with a bitcoin wallet and I find myself downloading a few wallets a week...from bottlecap to titties and barbq...lol

Anyways....

I cannot imagine loading up that many items in my "start-up folder" on my Windows XP machine. But I never update them when they are parked in my folder on the desktop titled wallets. So everytime I open one up it is like a box of chocolates as I do not know how long it will take to synch up...oh gawd...those config files...deleting folders and restarting....sheesh I do not want to go there....getting off topic!

to continue...

I do not really know how many wallets my HP Pavillion dual core (thats right it is still running lol) can have open simultaneously...and how do I automate the updating of these wallets?

25  Bitcoin / Hardware / USB Miner : Which rig has the most mining capacity...no ethernet please on: June 08, 2014, 06:38:46 PM
Pardon me if this has already been asked. I just went through an amazingly trying 2 weeks setting up those purple pages for two ethernet rigs. That was hard and my geek friend is now avoiding me like the plague.

I think USB is more of a plug and play sorta thing...but all I find is Jallies, BFL Singles, Antminer blade thingys, rocks and such.

Are there any higher capacity units out there that run off USB or is USB in itself a limiting factor to pipe mining through...do you need ethernet at some level?

Fellah's please be nice if this has already been discussed in the labrynth of threads on this marvelous site..please do not yell at this newbie ok?

if you connect your usb miner with 2 different usb ports and asap when you connect the 2nd miner into your usb port
and you see in device manager that yellow "!" and you dont get 2 usb miners and no comport, then its because all
usb miners have same serial, causing a conflict.

if you whant to solve this problem, then you need to write your own serial into the silabs EEPROM chip.

with this tool: http://jau.cc/asic/CP210x_Manufacturing.zip

thank you THANK you, THANK YOU

28  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: USB hubs for ASICs on: June 04, 2014, 04:52:53 AM
The manufacturers fucked up bad.
They should have made the connection ethernet or firewire
Most Ethernet chips can support upto 64 simultaneous connections, USB can only handle ONE connection at a time, no matter how many devices are connected. (you could even STREAM the requirements out of the ethernet/firewire controller into the slaves using a single connection)
So once you start slapping on those GH/s units, the USB chain is going to be spending more time in negotiation/connection/disconnection
that it is just not funny.

The only real solution is to DUMP the hubs and load the computer up with USB cards, then at-least you can aim for 1:1 rather than some fucked up binary tree dangling off a single USB host.

+1 (I have often thought about this) so I wonder how that 49 port psu powered hub/board slows down 49 333's communicating? thats a lot of info squeezed into the smaller pipe.

Well just swapped out PSUs, but apparently still can't get it to connect to BTC Guild.  It appears that it is restarting every couple of minutes.  It was shutting down completely with my 630W PSU, so I swapped it out to an 850W Antec and it is still clearly resetting every minute or two.   Tried Slush's pool but it kept timing out on me... mining can be so very exhausting...

Was hoping to have gotten it earlier in the day, but I am tired and ready to relax and watch some Football.

Here is what the proxy miner is showing:

Here is the settings on the Cube Miner page:

Thanks for all of the help so far, and hopefully I can get it working tomorrow Smiley

I have those plus (+) signs in "Pool addresses" field and the "Miners user:pass" field on the purple page. I tried to take them away and when I refresh I am not able to and they are still there. Please Help me as I wanted to try slush's pool

Cannot synch bottlecaps v1.5.2.0-g32a928e-caps

It does not even run active connections.

I made bottlecaps.conf and added the add nodes in the config file (got them from the first page on this thread).

Please help.
