First - GUI wallet Finally it’s here! GUI wallet for AEON. It’s still very first testing version and may contain bugs, so use with caution. We’re not responsible for any damage to your coins or PC We’ve forked https://github.com/BitKoot/CryptoNoteWallet and aligned to our needs. Now it’s your turn to test it. Feedback is very welcome. To be able to use all features make sure that folder with GUI wallet also contains files:
aeond.exe - AEON network daemon simplewallet.exe - AEON non-gui wallet application minerd.exe - pool miner
To run GUI wallet you must have .Net 4.5 instaled.
Enjoy!

@aeon - Still the same story. Don't bother anymore, not worth the time looks like it isn't a viral issue.

Does someone else have problems with the Aeon (aeond)? Every other cryptonote coin I run works fine but not aeond.
It would be great to know more about the problems you're having. Can you share more information? "9 out of 10" times it stops at this point: "Can't load blockchain storage from file, generating from genesis block" And then there's problem number 2: I just can't close aeond (not responding), and even after i force close it it's still showing/running/open. I works only every now and then after I restart the computer and I think I should not be running anything else (like MinerGate) for it to work. It almost never gets to the "yellow text", downloading the blockchain. But like I said, there some other problem with not being able to close the program itself. And yes I know there's an option of downloading the blockchain, but there seems to be some other fundamental problem here. (every other daemon from other cyptonote coins works fine) What OS is that? Could firewall be blocking aeond from reaching the seednode or communication with peers? Can you ping seed.aeoncoin.net? Is this happening with version that was released today? Win 7 x64 Pinging works fine It happens with older versions and 1.4 Remove blockchain from profile and try running aeond as admin.

Hi everyone,
we are releasing the latest code that fixes RPC wallet issues and adds a few wallet enhancements. Wallet is now deterministic and can be recovered with a mnemonic seed. It supports transaction splitting!!!
Get the code from our github or binaries from website. Feedback appreciated.
Enjoy and support Aeon!
P.S. We've received offers for blockchain explorer but currently bounty pool is very limited and we prefer to use it for giveaway once we're listed on bigger exchange. Paying 0.5 BTC or more for blockchain explorer is not possible as we're not receiving any donations from community.

The reason payouts get stuck is because the dev of this coin has not released any updated to fix the wallet "stuck" issue like coins such at BCN and MRO have done. On the pools, when the daemon auto saves, the wallet times out and then gets "stuck," causing payouts to get stuck until the wallet is resynced.
This is a known issue, and was a known issue with other coins as well, and the dev's for those other coins have fixed this issue.
I have notified the dev for Aeon of this issue as well as the fix, publicly on this thread, but I have yet to see an update to fix it. Hopefully there is was soon. For now, like I stated a few posts up, I just got back to my computer and I will go through and fix all pending payments shortly, should go out within the next hour.
Please check current Monero master tree if the "fix" is there. I'd say it isn't simply because previous trivial retry could lead to more trouble like incorrect wallet status which may be even more difficult for pools. With current design when aeond is busy wallet won't be able to communicate with it and will be "stuck". So it has to be restarted. But it affects only pools using pre-baked and very stupid p2p code. For miners and coin owners it's no big deal. Pool owners should invest time and effort to come up with reliable pool software I'd say. Bytecoin implemented some more improvements but we all know what happened and how it affected coin price. So rather that be in a hurry because pools are broken we decided to fix code properly and align with the branches we're following. If you think you're fine with previous Monero fix implement it but don't come here then if you need to pay more than what was mined on your pool. We know about issues like chain loading into memory, transaction splitting and stuck wallet. But all this needs a proper and tested solution not just a quick patch to make it look good. Community is welcome to help, fork aeon and submit patches. It's community coin after all. There is no fully paid developer working 24/7 on the code (not even a paid one). If you take a look into other coin you will see how much problem are still there. Stuck payment is important for miners of course but is really not caused by coin itself, rather by a combination of poor pool sw and old coin design of all Cryptonote currencies. I'll keep you updated on what's in a pipeline, but stop constantly blaming dev for being responsible for all bad. If you are developer submit fixes, if you are pool owner check whether it's really coin code causing payment issues. Releasing an update for multiple systems and without testnet is challenging and so far we're doing good. Support AEON. Be part of it.

The daemon auto saves, when this happens if it takes to long to save the blockchain the wallet will time out. Obviously on the pool this is not good as then different modules will freeze up.
I understand this may be an issue for pools and exchanges. Proposed fix will make wallet try later, which may be a good idea but more suitable fix is in testing atm. You can however edit the code and build a custom wallet with this fix. Problem will be addressed in next release, which may take some time.

Maybe your pool has latest code, but http://minin.gs has farrrr leesssss orphan blocks then any other pool. You may ask him for advice... I don't think you understand how pools work. If all the hash is on one pool, then other pools will receive orphans until the hash spreads more evenly. I have the largest pools for bytecoin, and ducknote, I understand very well how to run the pool. I agree with you 33zer0w0lf, how about mount coin ? Have you fixed it yet ? not yet haven't heard from CRZ in a while. I could setup another mountcoin pool and have it payout fresh from version 2.0.3 but I have put so much time into it that I didn't really want to do anymore work on it until the first issue was resolved. I moved my rigs to your pools 33zer0w0lf ( around 10KH/s) hope it will decrease your orphans blocks and spreads hash to network very cool, thanks xaitienle. Dev: this fix form zone117x for the monero dameon fixed an issue that this coin is having as well, you should look into implementing this fix. https://github.com/zone117x/bitmonero/commit/b87577f4441fd53d513ecf64a905104db3db20e2This fix was reverted: https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/pull/55Feel free to test it with your pool though. They implemented another fix to solve the issue, are you going to do something similar? What issue are we talking about? Can you PM more details?

New version 1.3 released. Various bugfixes and enhancements. Update recommended.
We have just released compiled binaries of AEON wallet that should solve issue with stuck transactions. Github sources are updated as well. We encourage community members to collaborate and help with fixes and enhancements. AEON is financed by community so community decides where we want to go and what we want to do with this coin. Despite rough start we can see that community is growing and supporting the coin.
Huge thanks to all forum members, miners, pool creators and Cryptonote developers. Without you this coin wouldn't be possible. Thank you very much and stay with us!

New M7u version of yam miner is available. Major addition in this release is support for many new coins - DVK,MYR,BCN,QCN,FCN and XMR.
yam M7u supports FantomCoin CryptoNight merged mining of FCN-XMR, FCN-BCN and FCN-QCN - check readme.txt and default config for details.
yam M7u has special algorithm variation for faster CryptoNight mining on AMD CPUs, resulting in 360+ H/s on AMD FX-8320 at stock freqs.
Primary download location for yam M7u is https:/[Suspicious link removed]/whkQyh2XA2 Alternative download location for yam M7u is http:/[Suspicious link removed]/A9c5GryPBy Chinese users may donwload yam M7u at http:/[Suspicious link removed]/qsWEtQEMhZ
You can use this miner also for aeon, just use config for XMR.
Can you help as I think I am missing something ? Does yam connect to the wallet or daemon and what is your connect string in the configuration file ? YAM has nothing to do with wallet. It is a high performance pool miner. Edit xmr config from archive, replacing pool address, port and your wallet. Then run yam version for your CPU: yam -c config_file
