There are few crypto use cases that are exactly like when people dream of flying cars, its been years that many dream of flying cars and back in college some pal said we will see flying cars in the future and it never happen, too much high expectations is bad, technology has the fastest growth in the world but some thing will just never work out because no one needs them.. Does it make sense to sell 40% of your mining rigs and keep the money for direct crypto investment and continue mining with the 60% left? How good or bad is this plan? also, It looks like miners are staying stronger this period, I expect many to have left mining but difficulty still remains very high.

is it a wise idea to use my gaming pc for mining?
i am thinking of buying a mining rig but i want to wait till August and you all know the reason
and in the meantime i am thinking of using my PC for mining for a few months
i have a GeForce 1050 TI using nicehash for mining
any ideas for coins/pools or solo mining are welcome
If you had thought about it back in 2009 to 2016, you would have became a millionaire by now. However, for now, your configuration is not suitable for mining anymore. So I would suggest you not to burn your system by mining. Rather get a mining rig for that purpose. I have a 1660ti and it just produces 27 mh/s. I have tried mining ETH using it but didn't have much luck with it. If you have got a i9 processor, you mught want to try XMR or other GPU resistant coins but again don't try solo mining ever. Your 1660ti should give you 30-32MH not 27MH, that's the type of hashrate you should get from a normal 1660 non ti and non Super, it's because you aren't using the right configuration or OC combinations. Use Trex miner and lock the core clock to 1300 using Hive OS and meme clock 1600-1900. |

I am not a newbie but I still fell for a scam metaverse project months ago, you can buy but when it's time to sell you won't be able to sell, be careful with new crypto projects they can turn into scam faster than old crypto projects, we have coinmarketcap for tracking best coins and tokens by ranks on the platform.

I rather the card do 107-111 mh and never fuck up then do 121 mh and die in six months.
That's right, spending +10% on power just to get a +3% increase in hashrate usually isn't worth it. Thermal capacity can also be a problem. Let's say I rent a house which has enough tons of A/C to handle 100 video cards. If I cut power usage by 10%, I can fit 110 cards, which actually means 7% more hashrate. Overclocking graphic cards isn't good, gamers do this many times but not miners, this is one of the ways that a GPU can die very fast, we want to run graphic cards in a cooling state than OCing for max performance, this is pro miner's way. |

Down the road into a bear market what can a new miner except from a 500MH mining farm? How incredibly bad can this get? 5$? 8$? Asking those who are here before in 2018 so I can know what's awaiting me.
No one will tell you how bad it can go and most important how long? It is better not look how bad it is  just keep walking doing other jobs for couple of months. So what's the best coin to keep mining in such bad market? I have almost free electricity and I don't want to turn off my mining rigs, what can I do at this point? I mean what's a better proof of work coin I can mine and hold for long term till bull market begins again. |

The only thing that VPN is good for is spoofing location, security to your PC? That's impossible, and changing location doesn't keep your PC safe from hackers, you can't fool a hacker by using random IP address or changing to a far away location.

It'll hurt to get a finger cut off . Or have the police say they needed everyone's fingerprint and then just mould copies they can use to access your funds. The body changes a lot and so do fingerprints, it's not a good idea to use biometrics like that for that reason. This is so funny as I never even think about this until you made this point, it's a very valid point though 😂 |

Hey everyone, I have a AM2 Socket Asus M2A MVP Motherboard. I have hiveos on it and GTX 1070 works and mines fine on it. However both my 1660 Ti and 2060 do not work on the board. When I plug in either of them the hiveos gpu list is just blank and there is an error saying gpu driver error no temps. Both GPUs are working fine since I tested them on my gaming pc. Does anyone have any idea why the 1070 works but anything newer won’t work? I am confused. Thanks
It's normal, some old motherboards will need an update to become compatible with newer GPU, if you can't do this better buy another recent motherboard then. |

Blower style GPUs are hard to cool, you need a server case for better results, if you have another open frame mining rig nearby it will affect those Blower style graphic cards, learnt this when my brother had a vega 56 8x blower style mining rig.
