21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without banking bitcoins will be work on: April 13, 2022, 09:57:47 PM
Nowadays bitcoin is connected with banking process. If bank not available. People can't change Bitcoin. So coming future it possible for changing this process. Kindly any one explain me. I need to know. Kindly support and give your adivoce. Nowadays banking is connected all country people and change the all country's currency.
Not true. You are forgetting the peer to peer transaction system. Which means, I can do business with any other person without the need of a middleman.

We can do business with cash, assets or any other way, so banks are not needed. Sure, they make things easier but they are not needed

Where you have made you account one and only Bitcointalk and i know you have mistakenly written forum over to board Grin

Hehe yeah I confused forum with board Cheesy

Hey guys, I am interested in posting Bitcoin guides on how to manage wallets and other cool tips.

Before you start posting your guides, it would be a good idea to look for similar content on the forum and not cover topics that have already been covered. It's not that I'm discouraging you or telling you what to publish or not, but some things like "how to install Electrum" or "how to make a cold wallet" are already topics with countless open threads.

But, the question is, in which forum should I post them?

Anything related to wallets or is of a technical nature would belong in Development & Technical Discussion -> Wallet software, and some crypto wallet security tips also in the same boards or maybe in Beginners&Help. What you need to know is that the threads can be moved as needed, either by you as the one who opened them, or if the moderators think it is necessary.

Tip for longer stay on the forum -> plagiarism is punishable by a permanent ban, so all content that is not yours should have a source Wink

Yeah, I get it. I've read a few guides and I think I do have a unique twist in regards to wallet security.

24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Fails ? on: April 13, 2022, 05:37:40 AM
1/ If Bitcoin fails, Privacy Fails

The ability for individuals to send & receive value peer-to-peer without the interference of government & the banking system will be lost. Bitcoin allows for a future where anyone can have private access to their money.

2)  If Bitcoin fails, Censorship Wins

We are in an unprecedented age of censorship. Bitcoin is the most secure network that has ever been built. Resilient, antifragile, & permission-less. Open to anyone in the world. There is nothing else like it. Bitcoin can’t be censored.

3) If Bitcoin Fails, Big Government Wins

The government can lose hundreds of billions annually but want us to report every time we spend over $600. There is no government accountably or transparency in our system. Without Bitcoin we lose the only counterweight to that system.

4)  If Bitcoin fails, Central Banks Win

Unelected bureaucrats decide the value of your labor & time. Money is the way we store the value of our time on this earth.  No one should have the power to inflate the value of your time away from you. Bitcoin’s set 21MM supply fixes this.

5) If Bitcoin fails, Free Speech fails

Bitcoin is code. Letters & numbers. A private key is all you need to be able to store, transport & transact value with. Never in human history has speech & language been this powerful. The freedom to speak is the most basic of human rights.

6) If Bitcoin fails, Objective Truth is Lost

"What is truth?” has never been more convoluted. You can find experts on both sides with “internet facts” supporting them. Bitcoin is the only thing we have that is truly objective & transparent. The longest chain speaks for itself.

7) If Bitcoin fails, The Energy Transition Fails

If the hope is to transition to a new energy future, we need Bitcoin, the energy buyer of first & last resort. Bitcoin monetizes energy waste & incentivizes new & efficient energy resources. Energy & Bitcoin are nearly synonymous.

8 )  If Bitcoin fails, Capitalism Fails

There is no CEO of Bitcoin. Bitcoin gained value organically, from the bottom up. The Network represents the spirit of capitalism harnessed in code. Self-interest combined with innovation & ingenuity. If you value capitalism, value Bitcoin.

9 )  If Bitcoin fails, We Will Own Nothing

We don’t own anything of value. Property & money are regulated & stored with custodians. You don’t own it; you just have a claim. With Bitcoin, the value of your life’s work can be stored in a few words. Free to take with you anywhere.

10 ) Bitcoin is too important to fail

If you value freedom, transparency, and truth, then you should want Bitcoin to succeed
If you value oppression, censorship, and corruption, then you should want Bitcoin to fail

We can't let Bitcoin fail.

In my opinion, I think there are too many shitcoins/altcoins, so it's possible one of them would take the place of bitcoin.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 13, 2022, 05:08:08 AM
Hello all,

As a lover of Bitcoin how do you spread Bitcoin, i mean how do you tell people about Bitcoin and it's adoptions?
To me i have held many discussions with friends in college with me, sometimes teaching them blockchain, the future of Bitcoin and why we should buy and hold Bitcoin, how the world will be in 5 years to 10 years to come. With this little meetings i have been able to share with my friends and also spread bitcoin to mates in college and i know they will do the same and if everyone does the same tell me what will be of Bitcoin today. So let us support Bitcoin max Adoption by telling people arounds us, bitcoin remains the future of money.

I'm no bitcoin preacher. I only say that crypto is the way to go but bitcoin is a good start.

Would love a lot more effort to cover provacy issues with bitcoin, but such is life.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no simple service for HODLing Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2022, 05:05:20 AM
Bitcoin is designed to be owned by us and make us our own bank without any third party interference. If you use the holding service, it is no different than you depositing your money in the bank. In addition to sending bitcoin to holding services will make it impossible for you to sell or use your bitcoin while your bitcoin deposit period has not ended, better hold your bitcoin and you can use them whenever you want.

Then why so many people use hot wallets and exchanges for holding their bitcoin? Only sophisticated holders use cold wallets and be their own bank. Most of the people just don’t care

Well, usually people that leave their coins on exchanges are small-middle size assets. Real whales usually take their coins out of exchanges and into their own security measures.

Beginners and Help[1] board probably suit on bitcoin related guides. Lots of how-to threads posted there by different users to guide newbie and non-newbies.

Some thread have "[Guide]" on the subject thread, maybe you can add it too.

What do you think about the "Wallet software" subforum? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=37.0

I'm mainly going to write guides on how to create deterministic wallets that are incredibly hard to crack even when/if you say the words/sentence.

Which forum you think would better fit my guides?

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: buy my home with bitcoin on: April 13, 2022, 04:08:55 AM
Save yourself all the waiting and just sell your home for fiat, and use the fiat to buy bitcoin. Do that unless you're willing to wait for potentially years and years to find a buyer.

The problem there is taxes. I'm sure OP wants to do that due to something related to taxes. Well, at least is what I think he is referring to.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no simple service for HODLing Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2022, 04:05:03 AM
There's no purpose to create another useless token for this reason. If you want to ensure you'll own coins in X years, just follow the steps below:

  • Create a new seed phrase and derive an address.
  • Sign a transaction where you send all of your coins to that address and make it valid after a certain block.
  • Lose access to your coins. (Delete the wallet file, destroy the old seed phrase etc.)

Now you have no coins until the block you chose is mined. Needless to say how not recommended this is.

Interesting. How can you choose the block your coins are mined at?
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone recommend me a safe place to store my bitcoins? on: April 13, 2022, 04:02:21 AM
The safest place where you can store your bitcoins in there is definitely in your personal wallet, for some people the leave-in having a hardware wallet and storing bitcoins in some hardware wallet such as Trezor is properly the safest place where you can store your bitcoins but other than this since you will have to spend some money buy a wallet if you want you to have a safe wallet without of spending a penny just store your bitcoins in some personal wallet where you can have access to your private keys and recovery seeds.

Exactly. If people only have hardware wallets, once stolen they will be very difficult to recover them. So just a personal wallet works wonders
