Just curious if any of us know the criteria these coin grading companies use when grading coins. I know in the past ICG seemed to have more liberal grading standards and maybe an MS68 at PCGS could be a MS69 at ICG.
This looks like such a beautiful coin, just wondering what about the coin makes it not an MS69?
I have been told that they take the hologram condition into consideration when evaluating the coin so this may factor in with the given grade of MS68PL I would say PCGS is more liberal considering they give grades to plastic chips.. lol  I would take an ICG MS68 over a PCGS MS69 any day.... |

when you are saying that "a private issue Hannukah polymerbit was created but not released" do you mean that the notes were already created/produced but never released to the public (ie for sale) OR that only the design was created and never released (ie physically printed)? Assuming it's the second (but I am still confused since I can see photos of the actual printed notes), will this be a limited release capped up to xxx notes at the maximum, or an open release printed in batches of 15 notes (limited only to the current demand)? Regardless, my reservation for 1 note still stands From my understanding it was a private issue commissioned for 15x notes, but was not exclusive to that particular client, allowing Polymberbit to produce more if they wanted for others |
