Decentralising the control of the MUE assetsIn the run up to the 12 month birthday of the MonetaryUnit project it is time to distribute control and responsibility of the many domains/accounts controlled by myself (the MUE project lead). This ties in with the fact that the 40 million MUE pre-mine has been distributed, through both the months of prizes and promotions. Once in the hands of others, which will be done in a fair and safe way, the project can truly be seen as a fair and equal attempt to create a cryptocurrency for the masses. Some assets and accounts are already in the hands of several long term MUE supporters, but many remain, and so, should any items in the list below interest you, please contact me through one of the channels listed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=778322https://twitter.com/MonetaryUnithttps://www.facebook.com/MonetaryUnitResponsibilitiesDomainsmue.club monetaryunit.org monetaryunit.co (not currently used) muechain.info monetaryunitchain.info (not currently used) freemue.com freemonetaryunit.com (not currently used) buymue.com buymonetaryunit.com (not currently used) mueaddress.org muepool.com tipmue.com muewallet.com theminerslottery.com minerslottery.com btcprizedraw.com bitcoinprizedraw.com theblockolotto.com blockolotto.com muecasino.com getcoinreward.com mueminer.com Servicesminerslottery wordpress – currently “paused” Bitcoin prize draw – currently “paused” mue.club forum $19 / month (hosted by websitetoolbox.com digitalocean.com 3 hosting accounts $50/month – hosts the following services – freemue.com,muechain.info, muecasino.com, muewallet.com, mueaddress.org twitter – MonetaryUnit twitter – minerslottery twitter – blockolotto twitter – tipmue (the twitter tipbot account) FaceBook – MonetaryUnit bitcointalk.org account for mue bitcointalk.org acount for monetaryunit bitcointalk.org account for munit cryptocointalk account for mue random.org – for bitcoinprizedraw results https://chainz.cryptoid.info/mue/#!crypto – currently $10/month (see hosting link on this page)

Some really great work being produced, thank you very much ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) At the current rate we are really going to be struggling to decide. Thanks again. This comp closes tomorrow night ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Any hints about the winner before the final whistle ? It is a group decision, speaking personally though, I think with some tweaks there are 4 potential candidates. Like I said, I think it's going to be really hard to separate them.

I'm curious as to why you're team is not willing to go the ethical route and hire one of the many talented graphics designer on this forum.
I'm sure one of the many talented graphics designers on this forum will see this as an opportunity to showcase themselves and receive free exposure and also a great chance of also getting paid for their work. We also get an opportunity for free exposure of our projects. This is mutually beneficial, the way the free market operates, and I think you are somewhat narrow minded to imply this is "unethical". If you would like to submit your work, it would be gratefully received, as will all submissions. I greatly appreciate your wishes to provide exposure for the many graphics design talent here on this forum. However, exposure does not cover bills and is not mutually beneficial for any of the graphics design talent that does not win your contest. And while I agree, your projects will get exposure, a no-spec contest does not inspire positive exposure as much as you'd think it does. If you haven't noticed already, I am extremely against no-spec design contests, however, this is something you can totally do. And it is in your right to do whatever you want. However, as usual, I will urge any potential graphics designer to consider the fact that joining this or any other no-spec contest is extremely toxic for our trade. And in actuality damages and devalues the digital art trade. It worked fantastic the last time we did it, and we had some fantastic submissions https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1001478.0and you posted the same sort of stuff there as well. You've had your say (again) please now let those interested in participating in a constructive way, do so.

Reserved, might give this a shot tomorrow. Any color scheme preference ?
Great, look forward to it. I don't think we have a fixed idea of a colour scheme, though that said, please take a look at our ANN, our coin logo, our www.MUEBank.com site to see how you could tie things together. The exchange will be in its own right, so is not a MUE only specific exchange, and so while you may want to imply a connection with MUE (you may not) we don't expect an essentially replicated MUE logo tweaked for the exchange. Hope that makes sense ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Thanks

Hi all, we are running a logo contest and would appreciate your submissions. The site is not yet live, but will form part of the portfolio of products and services for our coin project MonetaryUnit, our ANN is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=778322The new site www.AltBitEx.com - Altcoin Bitcoin Exchangewill go live in the next week or so. We think the name lends itself well to some really great creative submissions. Please keep in mind the name of the site, and also the coin MonetaryUnit, hopefully that will give you plenty of inspiration ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) This competition closes at 9pm UTC this Wednesday 27th May. The best logo, as chosen by the MUE team will win the 0.25BTC Many thanks and good luck

Whats the total number of coins that would ever be in circulation? UNLIMITED? ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) And does have unlimited supply of your own local currency stop you from using it? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) From our FAQ http://www.monetaryunit.org/faq/ point 14.) Q) There will be 1 Quadrillion coins? That’s A LOT of noughts!!?? A) Yes it is, 15 noughts actually! Theoretically there could be 1,000,000,000,000,000 MUE mined. That would however take 31 million years! MonetaryUnit will, should it succeed in the long term, be a low per unit fiat valued crypto. As such, I don’t see why (other than micro payments and fees) it would really need to be spent in non whole numbers. Now, Bitcoin, for example, let’s say it does hit $10,000/BTC in the next 3 years (not out of the realms of possibility at all), and you wanted to say send someone some dust, you have to start counting fingers and toes to make sure you haven’t missed a decimal place etc (overly simplified I know!). So, as BTC can be split into up to 8 decimal places (at the moment) and it is quite possible it will have a very high per unit fiat value in the short to medium term (maybe even $1M at some point), you could argue that the 21 million cap of BTC, could actually be viewed as 21,000,000 x 100,000,000 = 2,100,000,000,000,000 and 1,000,000,000,000,000 is the MonetaryUnit cap The whole psychology that there is only going to be 21M BTC is I think a little bit of PR & marketing spin. Granted, MUE CAN be split into much smaller pieces, but I don’t see much reason why it would be as it should keep a nice low value to allow for liquidity and spending and not holding. So, yes, although on the face of it 1 quadrillion MUE is a rather large number, hopefully with regards to it’s intended use, it actually is a lower cap than BTC will be!
