21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 15, 2024, 06:54:56 PM
Nepal lost the match against South Africa by 1 run. They needed 2 runs from the last two balls, but Ottneil Baartman managed to bowl two dots to gift the game to South Africa. At one point, Nepal were 85/2 after 13.3 overs. At this point, they needed 31 runs to win from 39 balls, with 8 wickets in hand. But this is when Anil Sah got out. And then Aasif Sheikh and Dipendra Singh Airee wasted a lot of balls. In the end, Sompal Kami and Gulsan Jha managed to hit a few boundaries. But by then it was too late.

If Nepal won that match then they have a chance to make it to next round since they have a game left against Bangladesh. Anyways its a great game and credit goes to Nepal team for giving there best against top team of there group. There are players in every team that waste lot of deliveries like Imad Wasim wasted lots of balls in India vs Pakistan game and that costed Pakistan the match. This is first time Nepal is playing World Cup and there performance is much better then teams like Oman, PNG and Uganda. I am sure Nepal team will get great confidence and experience from this tournament which will help them in upcoming icc events.

I don't know why teams such as Pakistan fails to understand the fact that the pitches in this tournament are not that friendly for batting. A target of 119 would mean a cakewalk at the Wankhede or the Eden Gardens. But that is not the case at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. They were 57/1 after 10 overs, with Usman Khan and Mohammad Rizwan at the crease. Ideally from this point they should have scored 6-7 runs per over while being cautious. But then Jasprit Bumrah had some other plans.

Credit for this win defiantly goes to Indian bowling but major part of credit goes to terrible mindset of Pakistani Batsmen. Babar Azam and Rizwan failed to produce there typical run a ball innings when the team needed that badly. Imad Wasim kept blocking the balls till the last over of the game. This Pakistani team doesn't deserve to be in next round. The only thing PCB can do right now is to start from scratch and bring new faces in the team. May be in next 2 to 3 years we have a decent T20 team. Lots of chances already given to these players.

Blackjack site is not opening at my end. I will create ID there as soon as it's accessible to me.
You were not accepted only because you were too lazy to fill out the application correctly.

My bad luck.
Trust me, site was not opening at my end until day before yesterday not on mobile nor on laptop. Today I checked and it's opening fine. Perhaps the site went down just at my end to stop me from participating in this campaign.
Good luck to all who are selected.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Take Profit in this Bullrun on: May 30, 2024, 01:03:27 PM
I sell the entire coin in my case and try to find another potential coin.
I can understand this strategy when you are buying altcoins, they usually do not have any use case and they are sustained by only hype, so better to take ROI when you can can, before the coin dumps and you become a bagholder.

But if it is bitcoin you are hodling, selling everything isn't a wise choice to make, you can sell some of your bitcoins and take profit, or convert all of it to usdt, take what you want as profit, and convert back to bitcoin when the price drops, but i wouldn't advise that you sell all of your bitcoins.

It's best strategy to quit Alts as soon as you see adequate profit specially if the alts are new and not among top alts listed on cmc. Once you are struck there is possibility that you will remain there for long time or may be forever.
We can't compare Bitcoin with alts just like we can't compare apple with oranges. I can HODL bitcoin forever since I have trust that it won't disappoint me. Take profit from Bitcoin from time to time but never sell all your Bitcoin Hodlings.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the best Altcoin for this moment to accumulate right now? on: May 30, 2024, 04:51:42 AM
I will suggest that we need to be careful from investing on the new crypto projects coming in, they could place a danger on us if we invest without making adequate research concerning them as many of them may not perform as expected, if we are to invest, we can consider the old and existing ones for our investment in which we have seen how consistent their performance was over time and could be able to make track on.

There are thousands of coins already existing and we also see new coins emerging in with claim of novelty and solution for exisitng blockchainproblems. The success rate of news coins is very low and that's why I do agree that one must be careful while investing in new coin specially when it's lucrative because of cheap price. If I have to invest in alts then its best to pick from top 50 alts listed on CMC. Like etherum is a good choice among all alts already available in the market though my first and foremost choice is always Bitcoin.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't advice anyone to invest on Bitcoin if he doesn't have Alt. income on: May 29, 2024, 02:16:20 PM
Actually, in a situation like that, what will your cousin invest when he has no income?

investing is not really about having an alternative income. but those who do should have enough to meet their needs and have more funds to invest.
This means that whatever your income is, when you have some leftover and when you invest it doesn't affect your finances then you feel ready enough to carry out your investment.

but with your cousin's thoughts, that's ridiculous. although he may still have savings that can be invested. but when he doesn't get income to meet his needs, the investment he makes will only fail when he needs money and there is no more money in his pocket.
I know what your cousin thinks, he thinks investing in Bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme.

When OP cousin has job he refused to invest in Bitcoin and after losing job he want's to invest in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme rather you have to invest and then patiently wait for the return. It can take months or years before you start seeing your targeted profit as there is no clear cut duration of Bitcoin bearish cycle. Those of us who have job, must invest whatever they can comfortably afford in Bitcoin as a financial cushion for crisis.
28  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: May 29, 2024, 02:02:24 PM
We have to go with where we are at right now.
Agree, we can't go back in time.

he cannot go back to December 2018 and he cannot even go back to December of 2022..
We can't go back even one second. What I was trying to say is that there were times bitcoin goes down and out, there were speculations that Bitcoin going back to some extraordinary values but that never happen. We can't go back to 2018 and 2022 but we can learn from history that what happens to Bitcoin once it goes down to such low.

He has to take responsibility for his own actions and outcome regarding whether and how to invest and whether to put it into bitcoin or somewhere else.. Is that difficult? If so, how?

Not difficult at all. It's your money and you have to figure out whether to invest it, save it or do some other stuff. You make profit, its yours and vice versa.

I think that you are still getting at the option of whether a lump sum is even available... so if there is a question whether a lump sum is available, then DCA makes more sense, but if a lump sum is available, then for sure there are more options, but it still might make a certain amount of sense to spread out the lump sum rather than investing right away

I have posted scenarios of Lump Sum and DCA over a long period of time. We can't predict what will happen in future but based on past data there is clear evidence that Lump Sum surpasses DCA if we go for long term like 4 or more years.

and if we go back to the example of someone who has an extra $3k... then there are so many ways to consider the matter, and it would seem short-sighted to completely ignore the availability of the $3k and to just DCA and buy on dips with it, since that would be presuming that the BTC price is either going to remain flat or to dip, so the more practical way of preparing for all price directions would be to use some of that $3k to buy right away, yet it is still a question of how much to use to prepare for up rather than preparing for down or sideways.. and each person has to live with their own decision, since there is not really any one correct answer, even though some answers (or approaches) seem more logical and reasonable than others... but people can still vary in their reason and also we might not completely know all of the reasons (the 9 individual factors) of another person without really knowing the person.

I do agree that one has to make a start from somewhere and has to make decision on it's own that how much will be good enough in the start.  Just like a thousand miles journey start with a single step, Bitcoin investment journey start with your first investment. After you make your first investment, one gets an idea about how to proceed further i.e. how much to DCA and when it's good time to buy on dips.

29  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: May 28, 2024, 12:34:24 PM
If they are looking for short term profit then they will be disappointed and you are I know that for us to see reasonable profit in bitcoin investment we must invest for the long term and not short term. That's why it's necessary for people coming into bitcoin investment to have the right orientation/mentality. They have to know on time if are coming into bitcoin investment as a trader or hodler.

When it comes to knowing when to use the other two strategies like buying the dip or lump sum, well I will say that the person who is making his first buy in bitcoin can use lump sum buy and follow it up subsequently with DCA, especially if he wants to own a certain level bitcoin in his possession. While knowing when to use the buy the dip strategy is simply when you see the level of dip you have already predetermined or set for yourself before any dip occurs in the market. This will make you not to lose focus or confused on when to enter the market if eventually dip happens. You know nobody has the entire knowledge of the market and when certain variables will play out, so it's important to always get prepared before the eventuality of any market situation. When preparation meet performance, good result is always birthed.

Those who have spend time in Bitcoin have consent that it's ideal to invest into Bitcoin for long term. But that's not the case with new comers, most of them came with mind that Bitcoin is about getting rich overnight and when that desire is not fulfilled they get disappointed.

Regarding three techniques i.e. Lump Sum, Buy the dip and DCA, anyone with experience can adjust buy the dip and Lump Sum with DCA. If I am a new comer, I would prefer to go with small amount i.e. investing small amount every week or month. Once your confidence is developed you can go for Lump Sum with some increased capital. Both DCA and Lump Sum are good as long as you are confident about the technique you are adopting.
30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading or Long term on: May 28, 2024, 12:21:23 PM
Short-term trading is not easy and not everyone can profit from it. It requires a lot of knowledge, skills and experience, and even experienced people cannot guarantee profits when trading because the market is very unpredictable . What I see is that the majority only prefer long-term , very few people choose trading or both. If you can take advantage of both and profit from both then you are a very good investor, but there is nothing wrong with many people choosing to hold for the long term instead of choosing both . Not to mention , not everyone spends all their time on the market, most have outside jobs so holding for the long term will be a better choice.

If we talk about Bitcoin then there is lot of evidence available that success lies in long term trading and there is very little probability of getting success if you are a short term trader. Just see results of DCA or Lump Sum over a period of 5 or more years and one can easily figure out why it's important to invest for long term in Bitcoin. Those who don't have much time to look market on daily basis, it's best for them to invest for long term. In this way they can guarantee themselves good profit and also free themselves from hassle of looking into market on daily basis.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: May 28, 2024, 04:56:19 AM
There is nothing wrong with engaging in techniques to improve DCA, which truly if someone is new to bitcoin, they might start with a certain weekly amount for their DCA, yet in the meantime, after several weeks, they could be figuring out various aspects of their budget and maybe how to employ their DCA better.  On a personal level, for the first year that I was in bitcoin, I tended to give myself a weekly DCA budget (or allowance), so during the week, I would try to maximize the buying on dips within the week, however, if I had not used all of the weekly allowance by a certain time of the week, I would just buy with the rest of it at that deadline time in each week, since my new weekly allowance would become available at the beginning of the next week... but yeah sometimes going through the process, with the passage of time, I was able to figure out some ways of employing my DCA that worked better for my own circumstances... but also recalculating my situation, that surely went even beyond the first year, since the strategies became different with the passage of time (as you suggested might become the case for anyone going through their BTC accumulation journey) and the fact that I had been accumulating BTC through the previous time and the details of that prior stacking in regards to how much, what was the average costs and considering whether my stacking goals were changing and/or close to being met, helped to inform any changes in my practices.

With DCA one can go with Limp Sum and buy the dip. It will some time for a person to figure out when to use the later two techniques (Lump Sum and buy the dip) with DCA. For sure, new one can go with DCA but they will get bored with it initially as Bitcoin spot price may go down and the profit might not be according to there expectations. This is where one has to keep control over his emotions and continue to invest despite the negative trends of the market. The main reason why many fail to get started with Bitcoin is because they left Bitcoin in early stages after seeing the loss. We have seen Bitcoin bouncing back from 4k in Dec 2018 and also from 18k last year. These falls are nothing but golden time to accumulate Bitcoins.
32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be confused, bitcoin halving doesn't translate into bitcoin All time high on: May 28, 2024, 04:39:35 AM
It's true in previous halving cases that Bitcoin touches new ATH year and half after the halving date. But this halving is different in a sense that we have an ATH just before the halving and that's most likely because of Bitcoin ETF. Now it's almost month since we have halving of 2024 and price is still roaming around 70k USD.
The current Bitcoin price is risky to enter but you can minimise the risk if you adopt DCA method to accumulate Bitcoins.

38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women's Cricket Prediction & Discussion - T20 & ODI on: May 20, 2024, 05:47:40 PM
Pakistan women absolutely got smoked. Of course, I understand that the England women’s team is far better compared to the Pakistani women’s team. But I did not expect the difference to actually be this big. I thought that the Pakistani women would at least be able to have some level of competition against the England team. But that did not happen.

Despite having terrible performance of women team, PCB management has showed zero interest in what's happening in women cricket. We saw PCB chairmen rushing to Ireland to boost moral of men's team after they lost opening game against Ireland. I don't think women cricket will improve in Pakistan mainly because it won't generate 5% of the revenue generated by the men's team. PCB has made women's team just to full fill criteria of ICC that every country must have women cricket team.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 20, 2024, 05:39:31 PM
Now let's not forget the fact that Ireland is a full member, while both Scotland and Netherlands are associate members. If Ireland is struggling against the other two teams (with a full strength XI, where only Josh Little is missing), then it is bad news for them. Irish bowling looks out of sorts. I don't know how much change Josh Little is going to make, but the experienced bowlers such as Mark Adair and Barry McCarthy were wayward and expensive against the weak Dutch batting lineup.

In cricket the real strength of any team can be checked through test format only. T20 is fast cricket where we see upsets very often. Few days back we saw Ireland beating Pakistan in T20I and same Ireland team was able to beat Netherlands by just 1 run. All three teams in this tri nation series will also play T20 world cup and it's there last series before the T20 world cup. The team winning this series will enter the world cup with high moral.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 20, 2024, 05:22:07 PM
I think Pakistani Women International ODI cricket team can't improve because in Pakistani, mostly parents didn't want her daughter to play cricket. They want her daughter in the house where she will serve her husband and family. Pakistani Women International ODI cricket team is not much stronger to play against big teams like England, Australia and India. If Pakistan wants change in cricket history, they should give freedom to the women in Pakistan. In England, Europe and in many other countries, women can practice easily and no one will demotivate her but in Pakistan that is opposite and that's why Pakistani International Women cricket team is unsuccessful in cricket.

That's quite right that there are cultural barriers in Pakistan due to which not many women enter the field of cricket despite having interest and potential for playing cricket. It's responsibility of PCB to provide necessary training to available players so that they can compete against SENA teams. It looks like PCB is not much interested in improving women cricket since it can't generate much revenue for the board.
