21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advertise your bitcoin business for cheap! on: July 27, 2014, 10:14:06 PM
I'll give your site a visit. I'm currently under development of a new site which will need promotion, how effective and responsive are your ads and also can I pick a niche when setting one up? Thanks
22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Open Source Trading Platforms ( who needs mt4 ?) on: July 27, 2014, 10:11:31 PM
Trade link is the current solution, those listed are pretty outdated.
Meta Trader 4 is a great program, I use this when I trade and make decent profits. Tradelink I'm getting the hang of and beginning to get a nice upline on investments with that to
23  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trouble with finding business on: July 27, 2014, 10:06:28 PM
If serious customers are interested in buying, offer Bitcoin for a lower price and someone will surely say "ooo a discount? Let's check out what this Bitcoin is"

You'll be surprised how effective offering a few bucks discount on your products in return for paying with Bitcoin sells.

Also create a guide on how to obtain Bitcoin (visit virwox) that way they have an idea on how to get some instead of reading the first 10 results on google and giving up.

I do warn that if you accept PayPal and Bitcoin on the same site there could be consequences, PayPal are extremely strict with Bitcoin nowadays
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is a hot target for criminals and money launderers. on: July 27, 2014, 01:35:51 PM
Bitcoin's concept of anonymity is a hot target for the greedy. Its structure helps criminals do their criminal acts. They can easily participate on illegal transactions without being traced (or a high possibility of not being traced) by the authority. Decentralization also helps them in accomplishing some serious thefts and laundering because nobody has the power to freeze their money unless they're traced by the government. This is just one of the many things why merchants all over the world doesn't accept the idea of using bitcoin into their business. It seems to risky for them to touch knowing that there are many possibilities that they can be victimized by theft and frauds.

There was crime and greedy people before bitcoin also. You cant say bitcoin made them, but that its easier for them now, yeah, it probably is.
But i agree with you that this is pretty big reason why bitcoin isnt more adopted, altho i love the idea of decentralisation, some measures must be taken to protect the innocents from being scammed.

There are many ways people can protect themselves...though still even today people fall for simple social engineering or "click for for $1,000,000" which turn out to be viruses.
75% of the crimes made by Bitcoin can be prevented simply by using 2auth on their online wallet, or by not using an online wallet at all.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Please stop with mBTC, microBTC, ...! on: July 27, 2014, 01:04:36 PM
It's all about preference, I personally think mBTC is confusing to start off with but makes sense as you get use to it. It's just like $ and Cents, it makes sense
uBTC on the other hand can be dropped.

Though I guess as value rises, mBTC and uBTC will be more common terms and in which then I agree satoshi is a better use of measuring Bitcoins rather than mBTC and uBTC (uBTC is darn confusing)
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which city will be the center of crypto currency on: July 27, 2014, 12:54:34 PM
singapore i think

Why ... Any reasons?
I don't think Singapore has a big dent in Bitcoin at the moment, though, I could be wrong as I'm basing my opinions on recent even geographical.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi will ever spend his bitcoins? on: July 27, 2014, 09:38:10 AM
I don't think he is going to use them. The system is not anonymous enough and he has too many to use a mixer effectively.

Maybe if Tor wasn't under suspicion of being compromised he could use his coins to run an anonymous mixer (coins come in, get mixed around with his) providing him with some anonymity but that also would draw legal attention for laundering.

I think it will be his next of kin that ultimately benefit.

He's got unlimited funding basically for new projects... I think he's thinking up new ideas for his money rather than planning on reaping the rewards.
Satoshi is a creator, he dreamed up bitcoin and went ahead and created it. It's only a matter of time before he releases something new whether it be a success or failure. Who knows maybe he's already behind big projects but under new alias'
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Solution to poverty - Socialism or Capitalism? on: July 27, 2014, 09:06:46 AM
IMO it does not matter on the Socialism/Capitalism debate. A wise man once said the Poor will always be among us. Either way Government does not have the answers and I rather not give up my freedoms. Any society that gives people the freedoms and rights to choose their own fate is the way to go.
Agree, there will always be those who throw away their money down the drain, and the less fortunate who never had any money to throw down the drain. Something we can never prevent...but freedom is something we can control. Freedom is my choice
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which city will be the center of crypto currency on: July 27, 2014, 08:28:43 AM
California and Tokyo high contenders
Tier 1 countries always have the advantage reason being I chose California
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi will ever spend his bitcoins? on: July 27, 2014, 08:27:31 AM
It will cause a lot of controversy that's for sure. He's already in hiding since it's so big...
By selling his coins he basically throws away all of the credit for his work as it simply says that he would rather a fiat currency.
Do you mean exchange or spend as in send his bitcoins to other addresses
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block chain size/storage and slow downloads for new users on: July 05, 2014, 04:15:04 AM
I use multibit, makes life a lot easier. Bitcoin-Qt is a pain to add new wallets / prove keys without going through every single block which can take days if you're lucky that it doesn't crash. Hopefully multibit expands to other altcoins soon
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal Integrating Bitcoin soon. on: July 05, 2014, 04:12:25 AM
I would never even consider using PayPal with my BTC
Good way to get hacked, account frozen, charge backed, etc
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Martingale System on: July 05, 2014, 03:05:06 AM
I have been told that martingale end up with losing everything  Sad

People usually do because they don't quit whilst they're ahead and get greedy and keep going until they've lost it all.
Well the thing is that with martingale gamblers will need to go from potentially being up a small amount to being down a lot to make up their last lost bet

It starts well and ends terrible...that's usually how martingale works
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would it happen if Paypal would integrate Bitcoin as an exchange? on: July 05, 2014, 03:04:12 AM
I'm just imagining the amount of account freezes on accounts this will cause. If this is implemented we can kiss decentralisation good bye if people begin using Bitcoin with PayPal
Disputes, fraudulent transactions, account freezes, chargebacks...I can't even imagine the dilema's people will face using Bitcoin with PayPal....and the sadest thing is, is that they've spoken about eventually implementing it.

I would never touch PayPal after my first few limitations...I still will never touch it even if they make policy changes to suite Bitcoin

Destroy PayPal 2014.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man recovers $500,000 in bitcoins he mistakenly sent to defunct Mt. Gox on: July 05, 2014, 02:55:47 AM
I have a feeling this guy had a bit more than 800BTC at that time...in other words it wasn't his whole fortune.

But, lucky he got it back, that's the main thing!
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to find the IP address of a Bitcoin address? on: July 05, 2014, 01:56:55 AM
No it certainly is not possible.
If you think IP relays have something to do with heir IP you are wrong, that's just the IP used to relay the transaction
Bitcoin was made to decentralise and keep people anonymous, not reveal IP's or else it would be the same as using PayPal
37  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to best invest in bitcoins? on: July 04, 2014, 10:04:38 AM
Mining is the main way to invest your bitcoins, check out mining hardware in the hardware section I have seen some great deals, but like you said you can't mine so I guess cloud mining is the best alternative !
38  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Martingale System on: July 04, 2014, 09:20:42 AM
I don't gamble but I've seen friends online lose a lot of money using martingale on dice
Usually starts with "oh hey look at me making lots of money with this cool new method"
Ends up losing a ton of money
