21  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: June 25, 2023, 06:14:40 PM
Why money??

Because money is the only thing that is used everywhere as a transfer of value. That's the simplest answer to this question. Global banks and governments need a tool to transfer values from one place to another. That's where money came in and now rulling the world.

You replace money with monkey and monkeys will start rulling the world! As simple as that!

This is wrong, if you visit places like the prison, get to visit a couple few, you'll see so much importance haven't been placed on money. This is simply because less importance have been placed on it, cigarettes, ramen, spaghetti, drugs has better value than money.
We all let banks and government run the game with rules which are not favorable to people.   You stop putting so much value on the paper money and you will see how it gets devalued.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: June 21, 2023, 01:27:38 PM
While growing up things were quite easy, an I also know that life was also easy for the common man, not until 2018 that things start changing for the worst, from then till now the rate at which inflation have struck my country to an all time high is so alarming.
Everyday price of things keeps on changing but the salaries of a civil servants still remain the same, the money that we use too feed from, buy water, pay rent, pay for light an even save from, now it can't even service our monthly needs for even half of the month.
Most times I feel for people that have many children because too get basic needs in today's economy is very difficult,
the annoying part is that the government an it agencies are doing nothing or less about the cost control of goods and services in the state.
An this has created a torn in the lives of many as situations keeps on getting worse by the day.
Am wondering if it's same experience in other part of the world.

Trade by barter was an easy and effective  means that enhanced good living, during that time the cost of living was at ease because people gave out what they had to get what they wanted in return...then the cost of living wasn't killing the living  because  buying and selling was made easy and as such life wasn't as difficult.

In recent years everything changed as the economy of the country deflated so as to affecting the lives of citizens  in cause of Borders locked down,no empowerment, no increment of salaries  and no payment of most pensioniers, no scholarships, no business developments in certain  undeveloped areas to enhance job opportunities....all of these contributed to the cost of living killing the living because the country is not developing/growing economically.

It would be a great achievement if the current government can come to the aid of citizens and make life better  for everyone out there ,by providing job opportunities, generating business developments in undeveloped areas, opening of borders etc...so as to stop the cost of living killing the living.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: June 16, 2023, 07:27:52 AM
You are correct that many engineers and doctors are unhappy with their careers because they are forced to study certain subjects. The same is true of learning about bitcoin. If you are a parent who is interested in bitcoin, you should keep using it rather than forcing your kids to learn about it because you believe that bitcoin is beneficial and that it allows you to create things without the help of the government.
Despite the fact that many people today profit from bitcoin investments to the point where even government employees do not have half of what he does, when we talk about the future, we are not going to live our children's lives, and if we damage their reputation, we do not deserve the title of parent. In my opinion, we should not force our children to learn things they do not find interesting.

But very few parents understand that and what they are doing is the opposite. I mean, they're teaching their kids what they think is best and not thinking about whether their kids like them. Many parents impose their thoughts on their children, and they think it is the best thing they do for them.

I am also a parent, but I strongly oppose many parents teaching bitcoin to their children because some are too young, and some are not interested in bitcoin. But many parents force their children to do as they please, but this will make them hate bitcoin more than they like it.

I have come to agreements with everything you penned down, but then, with how this generation of human beings are in so much debt, financially Indiscipline, financial illiterates, poor planners and lots more, parents need to teach kids about bitcoin,  because it'll be the guide and hope for the future.

Let's relate to the large debts by the United States 🇺🇸 of America,  the third world countries too and how their political leaders abuse and steal all of the money in the government for their selves and families,  don't you think that teaching bitcoin or with bitcoin will serve as a tool to stop the mess generated by this generation for other generations to come?

I do know  say children should be forced but they need to be thought nevertheless about how transparent, volatile and how it helps to aid those utilising it from inflation, also how it gives liberty and freedom to those users and give them so much privacy away from the banks.
24  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Delay your Bitcoin transaction for this week| Volunteer campaign on: May 10, 2023, 04:58:41 AM
I agree that postpone transactions is the best to do now. Fees are really crazy.

Until this ordinals crazy ends, there isn't much we can do. Fees are already better than when you posted.

I have created this api which always shows the updated recommened fees

Code:
[url=https://bitcoindata.science/local-price-to-image.html][img]https://bitcoindata.science/api/bitcoinfees.php[/img][/url]

Are there any disadvantages or detriments that comes with using free bitcoin accelerator to accelerate pending transactions?

One can just copy the transaction hash and boost it up with the accelerators but it will take couple of four hours, I am not so sure but I really got a message from a friend who did to hasten his transaction that's been pending since saturday.

Fees can be high and one would want to transact that way still, but having pending transactions for days sucks, I'd be happy if it doesn't brings panicking because I was to a level.  Grin

26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 😉; It's The Weekend,Banks Are Closed, Bitcoin Is Up 24/7hrs on: April 16, 2023, 05:57:49 PM
It's a good sunday evening to remind lots of people who must have lots of trust in the government and the banks. They are all in for the control and power forcefully placed to deny those who aren't self aware of the freedom they should hey whenever they utilize bitcoin.
Bitcoin network has been current, up to date, and also transparent with the help of the blockchain, I just want to say, stick with bitcoin and even if currently cash is king and we can not over run it yet, Bitcoin gives you the power and control over your money not the fiat.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects: Over-reliance on the US dollar on: April 16, 2023, 05:49:50 PM
Gotta say, I'm not entirely sold on the idea that shifting focus to the yuan and other currencies is the ultimate fix for our overdependence on the good ol' US dollar. Sure, clinging to the dollar can limit a nation's international trade with countries using different currencies. But is diversification the real key?

Hold up, let's not gloss over the potential hazards linked to China's expansion of the BRICS. China's ballooning economic and geopolitical clout could fuel tensions and even conflicts between nations. And who's to say what kind of economic strings China might attach to countries that embrace the yuan?

I'm all about skepticism and critical thinking. We've gotta scrutinize the pros and cons of each move, especially when it comes to the world's economic game plan. Maybe the answer isn't diversification, but finding ways to cut our reliance on any single currency. The future's a mystery, but one thing's for sure: caution and skepticism are our best allies.

Couldn't have said it any better.
However things get, it will always be better to have a particular currency or set of currencies that should be used for international trade. Everybody cannot be trading in his own local currency. So if the dollar is not the answer, does that make the yuan the answer?

The dollar has built trust. Countries trust the dollar enough to use it as their reserve currency. They didn't trust this currency simply because it's the currency of the United State, they choose this currency because it's a strong currency that doesn't devalue so much compared to other currencies. The Euro is also a reserve currency.
Despite the crises of the dollar, it's still the first world reserve currency before the Euro and then the yuan. This is because people still trust the dollar, so they are not just about to start dumping it because Russia and China say so. If China wants the yuan to be the first reserve currency then they have to show the world that the currency can maintain its value.

I believe countries that do not produce much, or should I say countries that import almost everything get affected the most by the upward and downward movement of the dollar. This is why developing countries that import almost everything suffer. The price of the dollar affects every single commodity in their country and instead of them looking inwards and finding a way to get better and start producing stuff they need, they blame the dollar. It's always easier to blame others for our misfortune but if we are being honest, the real issue lies within us.

It's not just right to depend on fiat... First, each one of you should go check the definition of fiat and how it originated, the meaning and what two words combines to make the word fiat.

Just to ease thing's up, it's comprises of power and control.
Fiat rather isn't backed by anything solid or sound but the government, it's quite shameful to see most of you trusting the US Dollar, yes over the years, but the US Dollar is just paper money whom they assign security tags all over it to secure it.

Meanwhile, after all of these trust for the US Dollar, they charge you hugely just to keep your money, it would make much brain if you've kept them in the pigeon hole in your house rather than the banks and government who are simply in charge.

To run away from these control and power enforced on you by the government, everyone has to know about bitcoin, my pal who Introduced me here has said this are one of the reasons bitcoin was created and they help solve and put a stop to over printing of the US Dollar, which we all fail to know that their are some fake printed dollar bills but bitcoin is authentic it can't be faked. So you all that trust the dollar has work to do.
28  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Uptime 99.98812348% | 10 years continuous uptime! on: March 24, 2023, 02:23:39 AM
Apart from the Bitcoin Network, the internet has been effectively up and down come whatever. But this is a great mark achieved by the Bitcoin Network.

I still read that sometime ago 2010, Bitcoin went down for over eight hours and twenty minutes, and also in 2013, it was down for Six hours twenty minutes. Any idea of why?
