21  Local / India / Re: 12th of Jan 2009 when the first Bitcoin transaction was made. on: January 14, 2024, 05:47:37 PM
The concept of Bitcoin now is different as with ETF an investor would only get a paper and not Bitcoin. Do you think this is correct?
It is correct but if someone learned enough about bitcoin and and want to hold real bitcoin rather than paper or to be a part of it then they will buy real bitcoin instead of buying an ETF.

Do you think ETF was good for adoption or it is good for those early investors to cash Bitcoin?
Yes, its good for adoption, here are some reasons:
1. The bitcoin ETF will be seen by more investors who were not aware of it, means more recognition and promotion/ad of bitcoin.
2. There will be a significant rise in liquidity which will lower the impact of price movements because of large trades.
3. Institutions like hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds, etc. will be able to invest in bitcoin because they won't be facing regulatory restrictions that usually come with directly owning cryptocurrencies.
Because ETFs give them a regulated way to getting into bitcoin, making it more accessible for traditional financial players.
4. Some people will no longer think of bitcoin as a scam.
seems like a essay but may this will help.

Do you think those early adopters and investors will drag down the Bitcoin price after ETF approval?
who knows.. Grin? Depends on them.
In the end, was the Bitcoin transaction made by Satoshi an eventful thing to celebrate? What do you guys think?
yes, here is a suggestion for naming: Crypto Pioneers Day.
22  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies be aware of this "exchange" type of scam. on: January 14, 2024, 03:16:25 PM
How were you able to sure that it was real money and not just a number?

First it was in my spot balance on the exchange and that was withdrawalable when clicking but needs to send $150 USD after clicking the final withdraw button after filling all the address and other info.

You know already that it is 100% scam. Then not possible buy definitely a scam.
Lol,  Got confused because of their nice theme or exchange template used.
23  Other / Beginners & Help / Newbies be aware of this "exchange" type of scam. on: January 14, 2024, 02:14:58 PM
Two days ago I had received a twitter notification, where i was tagged by a exchange's twitter account. (bitclaus.com is the URL of the probably Definitely a scam exchange)
where they said that I with some other users has won around 10,000 USD to trade, this is not that type of bonus where the exchanges or broker gives some free USD which are claimable as a trading fee.

This was real money, after finding out this I quickly rush to signup on the exchange (because there was only 3 winners and the account had 10k+ followers)
and after signing up, I gone to withdrawal page to withdraw the 10k USD but after filling all the blacks and clicking the withdraw button, A window pops up saying that you need to complete verification to be able to withdraw and because of AML policy.

after reading this I thought this will be a KYC type verification, but not. that verification will successfully complete when I will deposit $150 to their deposit address. after that I will be allowed to withdraw that 10k.
Then I realized that, Oh this is another new scam (first time with me) so I searched on trustpilot, google about this exchange and no results after writing exact name of the exchange and no reviews on review site.

they newly registered the domain some days ago to scam people: https://who.is/whois/bitclaus.com , and the exchange template used and theme is so real and trusty,

It's possibly or definitely a scam, I shared here because sometime the situation seems so real that we cannot resist ourselves.

Avoid sites and people who promise to give free money, avoid those sites who tell you to deposit or send money first then receive your prize/crypto/anything.
Avoid any free money from a stranger.

here are some images in order:

Lol, you shared some pretty nice tips to stay poor lol 😂
But I am opposite of them all, its a good reminder to keep that in check if we are doing something wrong.
Also not investing and taking risk is a best way to stay poor 😂, and not trying to learn something new.

Is this badge permanent or does it has a time limit? Along with badge I saw some users with custom title. Can't remember exactly where but yes, it did spelled out as custom title.

I think these badges are awarded to some specific users who are good at something and contributed enough to the forum,
the badges and custom titles are given by global moderators and admin

28  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Maybe future trade is gambling on: January 11, 2024, 05:29:00 PM

yes, to get a edge, the trader need to learn many things about the specific financial instrument.
Like in stocks, the trader needs to analyze overall market trends, company's performance, financial indicators, and relevant news to make right decisions.
Also, in crypto and commodities or any other financial instrument, a thorough understanding of market dynamics, technological developments, and global economic factors is essential for profitable trading.
So it should not be considered as gambling, but if the trader is just speculating by seeing the price movements on charts and doing nothing and taking trades then he is gambling.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Does signing up with affiliate links gives these benefits? on: January 11, 2024, 05:10:35 PM
Many youtubers and friends share their referral codes/affiliate links, saying you will get bonuses, real money, or free spins. but I wonder if casinos give extra help or benefits in some different situations.

For example, when someone wins a big multiplier and multiplies their account by 100x, then some casinos take a long time to process the withdrawal, or they may not even give the money. however, some say that if you sign up using a good affiliate or influencer affiliate code which have huge audience, then you won't face these type issues. also, if you promote the casino using your referral link, they might not hold back your withdrawal because you helped them get new customers.

is this kind of things is considered shady practice, or is it considered fair in the online gambling world?

I am quite curious that how much percentage of those loss recovering people do recover their losses in the end or become addicted to gambling.
also most of us play for victory because that's how the game become fun, but when we face consecutive losses the gambling become excessive instead of fun.
it very very hard to control when we are losing and that not of fun when the loss become huge like half of the amount deposited.
31  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cointelegraph has the worst price analysis articles on: January 11, 2024, 08:17:03 AM
yes I think they have more expert designers then analyst Grin, because on every articles there is nice thumbnail to get attention of the people.
I doesn't read any articles or join telegram channel who shows analysis because most of the time it's just an poor speculation,
when I was newbie i used to see youtube channels on which they host display nice charts and seems to be wow we are doing something big,
but now realized that most of them are dumb and trying to make other people think that they are the "pro" in the market.
32  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the difference between crypto trading and traditional stock trading on: January 11, 2024, 07:57:01 AM
I'm a newbie in trading. I read books by John Schwager, Alexander Elder, John Bollinger about technical analysis and psychology in trading and I began to doubt that all this was suitable for the modern cryptocurrency market. How is crypto trading similar to stock and Forex trading? What are its similarities and differences?
I would like to thank everyone in advance for their replies, I appreciate it! Wink Wink Wink

Trading stock seems complicated (but not too complicated that no one can learn easily) because I first started trading crypto which is 24/7 market without terms like "in the money", "lots", etc.
So crypto is easier that stock and there are no many requirements to register account and start to trade.
crypto is more volatile than stocks, forex, commodity. so it is more riskier and we get more opportunity to make profit. also trading psychology is similar on every market because same people and bots are trading and following the TA breakouts and retests, etc.
In stock we need to do fundamental analysis of companies and in crypto we need to do onchain analysis.
33  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Unknown fact our profitable colleagues won't tell us on: January 11, 2024, 07:48:53 AM
Wow after seeing the title of the threads I got exited that I will learn something new about trading and get a edge.
but got disappointed after reading the thread. it's all about risk to reward ration nothing new lol. there is not secret in trading everything is open and information available online and on books.
we just need to work hard and learn more to be able to profitable. and maybe finding a consistent profitable trader that can teach us is helpful.

Newbies are often deceived by scammers that claim that they can win all the time or that promise them a winning rate that is too high to be possible, but even when good traders do everything right they lose and do it often, however since they have tested their strategy against the markets they know that those losses are only temporary and they keep trading as usual, while a newbie trader due to the expectations they have, cannot tolerate to lose more than a few times in a row before they lose their minds and make a bunch of reckless trades.
yes, newbies then tend to take more risk to recover the previous losses instead they need to learn and figure out what thing they are doing wrong.
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Maybe future trade is gambling on: January 11, 2024, 06:23:58 AM
Snip
Futures trading or any trading which can people do online is gambling for those who doesn't understand how to trade and just speculate and trade without analysing anything and seeing the charts. And after losing the trade we know what happens they tend to take more risk to regain that lost amount same as gambling. But if the person learned about trading and know to stop when he is wrong. And if he is wrong most of the time then he should learn more about that. If someone knew about this and what your brother is doing then they should had stopped him.

We decided to sit down and do a Q&A with him to find out how you can too!

the man was very lucky that he won this much amount by just depositing $17 it's really very amazing story.
but I would advice other users to does not deposit the money that you cannot afford to lose in casinos by reading articles and videos like these.
Many people see those big wins and start to gamble without knowing about the rules and consequences then they sit in huge losses. so the quote seems somewhat misleading because we cannot win if we want it's entirely based on luck so doesn't try to chase those big wins.
36  Economy / Gambling / Re: IsItProvablyFair.org - Instantly verify if the game you just played was fair! on: January 10, 2024, 12:48:33 PM
I like your website, it's simple and responsive Good work OP.
Some suggestion of mine: You can add other casinos too which is already suggested by many users but you can check BTCgosu's provably fair verifier to get inspiration.
https://www.btcgosu.com/tools/provably-fair-verifier/
but this is not open source I think. you can also write some more blogs(because i liked reading the already existing info) and add affiliate links of best casinos so you can earn from them too.
the website works fine on mobile devices too, thanks for your efforts.
37  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 10, 2024, 12:32:09 PM
Many times,  I have seen that most gamblers use to make the mistake of leaving their winning in the casino,  even when the money accumulated is already huge enough to offset them into something better but choose to risk leaving it in the casino where there are possible tendency of gambling away the entire balance just with just one temptation.
You're right most of the times that happen and the gamblers really don't care much about leaving their winnings on that casino's wallet. I believe one should withdraw the winnings and invest those in an asset for sometime if the winnings are already high and when makes some profits from that asset then comes back to the casino and start a new gambling session again with some money. That way one will never have the temptation to gamble more or earn a lot of money by putting all the winnings at risk.
We should withdraw the money when we have won a lot and the amount has reached the minimum withdrawal limit. But most people will be tempted to use the winnings by gambling again to double the money. This has become a common mistake that many gamblers make.

We must be able to avoid things like that and use the time to withdraw the winnings. It is also to prevent the desire to continue gambling. We must learn to control ourselves so that offers from casinos do not easily tempt us.

Withdrawing his winnings and investing it in other things, such as investing in Bitcoin, is one way to grow his money. And that is beyond gambling because we are not gambling on that investment. And when his investment has made a profit, he can start reducing his gambling activities to focus more on his investment.

if the person can win that much huge amount then he should be avoiding the golden rules of responsible gambling by deposited more amount then they can afford to lose.
means if my bankroll will 2x or 3x this will not be enough money to invest in something and lower my gambling activities. but maybe the player is playing with huge money which is risky at some point.
it will be really good if we can learn to control ourselves after winning resonable and losing reasonable amount so we cannot try to bet more or simple log out of the casino and do not play for some days.

Because if someone starts to be a bother after a couple of beers at the same time there could be someone even more drunk but remains quiet as continues to gamble more money. It would be interesting to know what the official protocol for these situations are.

Casinos may have terms and policies which don't allow them to let a too drunken or intoxicated gambler play at their casino.
They have employees/staff to see and figure out intoxicated gambler by seeing like walking, speech, control and coordination, etc.
I found this site about this information but I don't know that casinos also have these types of rules or not.

39  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: January 10, 2024, 12:07:02 PM
Today I received a prize from winning a competition sponsored by 500 Casino. Even though I am against KYC in a crypto casino, I had no choice and had to go through it. Probably everyone knows how casinos don’t like a player with a profit trying to withdraw money, and they create difficulties in the way of this player so that he gives up and changes his mind about withdrawing the money or crypto he won. Nevertheless, I want to say that Casino 500 verified my documents incredibly quickly, literally within a minute I received the result, and all the document rejections were only due to my error. Therefore, for me, in addition to Roobet, another wonderful casino began to exist.

I also won on 500 casino but they don't told me to do KYC even after winning half amount of my deposit and withdrawn without any issue.
i think most people who complain like casino scammed them, most of the time they have their own fault.

Also bigger sites like stake, 500 casino. they verify our documents for KYC from third party sites like sumsub which 500 casino uses and it is quick. I think the system automatically scam the documents and selfie.
it's too quick I like this type of hassle free KYC.
