21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of play to earn games on: March 17, 2023, 05:30:04 PM
If blockchain games can establish a following and demonstrate that they can retain clients, they have a bright future. People participate in P2E games mostly because they are free to play and provide opportunities to earn cryptocurrency. P2E games also need cool visuals, without which they can be uninteresting.  Shocked
Blockchain gaming is becoming increasingly popular, and it has the potential to become the next big thing in the gaming industry. This is due to the growing popularity of mobile gaming, as well as the acceptance of cryptocurrencies and the advent of blockchain technology.
22  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can do 30k$ this month? on: March 17, 2023, 01:49:19 PM
Mike Novogratz, a bitcoin bull and billionaire, is confident about BTC’s sudden price increases. He believes BTC could hit $30,000 in the coming weeks, and he’d be extremely happy if the coin stayed at that price through the end of the year.  Cool
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is there so much resistance for Bitcoin reaching $25,000 on: March 17, 2023, 01:41:12 PM
We’ve finally waited for this resistance to break through. BTC has been reaching these highs for the last 3 days: $26,515; $25,241; $25,190 (yesterday).
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a treasure. on: March 17, 2023, 01:33:19 PM
BTC is a cryptocurrency, a type of private, digital money that operates without the involvement of a bank or government.
As an investment asset, BTC offers capital appreciation and an inflation hedge, but its volatile price swings make it a high-risk investment.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the future of bitcoin without powerful nations? on: March 15, 2023, 08:45:38 PM
China doesn’t have much influence on BTC, because a lot of things related to crypto have long been banned there. Since then, their government’s actions and news on China’s underground crypto industry are no longer very negative.
And Africa is not a country at all, it’s a continent. There are 62 states. They can’t act in unison, either against or in favour of BTC.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will lead the world currency market?? on: March 15, 2023, 08:09:42 PM
The biggest misunderstanding around cryptos is that if they aren’t doing a great job of replacing USD, then crypto is failing in its mission.
Most of crypto is about replacing the centralized banking system with networks that allow user control versus bank control. Major cryptos, such as BTC and ETH, should be viewed more like internet stocks than currency.
It’s more like you bet on Google if you think there’s going to be high internet traffic; if you short it, it’s that people are going to go back to the post office. But it’s not that BTC or ETH or anything else is trying to replace USD, it’s trying to replace the system of transmitting value.

28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot be a Bank? on: March 15, 2023, 12:43:18 AM
Treating BTC as a bank is incorrect. No one would compare a currency to a financial institution, would they? For example, GBP vs Barclays bank. They are incompatible things.
As a means of payment, BTC should be compared to fiat currencies. As a means of investment, it should be compared to gold and stocks.

30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early bitcoin investment for my baby on: March 14, 2023, 08:30:25 PM
Adults can simply buy BTC through a crypto exchange. But when it comes to children, the crypto investing strategy needs to be a bit different.
If someone wants to invest in BTC on behalf of a child, they essentially need to buy coins and gift them to the child. Or they can use a specialized custodial account or buy crypto ETFs in a child’s custodial investment account.
31  Other / Off-topic / Re: Revolutionizing Artificial Intelligence: GPT-4 with 100 Trillion Parameters on: March 14, 2023, 07:52:10 PM
It would be great if GPT-4 could do fundamental analysis based on news and social posts to predict prices of cryptos, currencies, stocks, etc.
Or at least generate quality posts with market analysis.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: How SVB fall going to affect bitcoin, crypto in general? on: March 14, 2023, 07:34:14 PM
The same thing that happened to USDC won’t happen to BTC, because no company issues BTCs or holds collateral reserves in banks.
33  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which is more paying? on: March 14, 2023, 07:18:05 PM
There’s no point in arguing with people you know who don’t understand the topic of discussion. You can’t persuade them so that they come over to your side.
You don’t get paid to invite referrals to this forum, do you? Then you shouldn’t waste your time and effort on persuasion. Do what you like on your own.
34  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to suspend GBP deposits/withdrawal on: March 14, 2023, 07:07:17 PM
It’s not too much of a problem and it shouldn’t last long. As they say: “the change will affect less than 1% of users, and the exchange is working to find an alternative solution.”
35  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: OpenCEX, a Free Open-Source Crypto Exchange Engine on: March 13, 2023, 12:12:08 PM

Thanks for the response.

Might I suggest that this Announcement is best suitable for Service Announcements board?

However, that's for you to decide.
Hi.
Maybe we’d have started the topic there. But the Service Announcements board is in the Marketplace section, and there are only paid services and apps there. Ours is free, so it didn’t fit there.  Undecided

Hello, future crypto exchange owners!

💹 We’d like to share a video overview of a demo exchange running on OpenCEX, our free open-source engine. Take a look at how well it works:

I do not think most big investors or bag holders will risk the use of the forum because they want something cheap, aside from the fact that online security for exchanges is too costly to be rendered free or cheap. Additionally, I don't think it gives users custodial rights to their coins, which is a very dangerous offer. If you are truly interested in making such a public offering, then provide a decentralised exchange, give users custody of their coins, and request transaction fees, anything free here is suspect
We want the code to be public. Going forward, we’ll have it independently audited and keep it secure.
We believe that openness and transparency of the code is the best way to keep it good.

I'm gonna compete with Binance and Coinbase with OpenCEX? This is huge and the design is very human, lol. Well, take this as a criticism but ideas like this will surely not thrive considering it takes a lot more than just creating it from scratch with you alone. Yes possibilities are endless but it's difficult to position yourself in this industry unless you really made some revolutionary feature and consider it decentralized, the CEX has a different distinction here lad.
OK, we’re open to accept criticism.
Of course, you won’t be able to make a world-class exchange with our free open-source engine and become a competitor to Binance. But you can create a local niche exchange.
40  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: OpenCEX, a Free Open-Source Crypto Exchange Engine on: March 07, 2023, 05:37:23 PM
What do you mean by "With Opencex you can create your crypto exchange" for free? I'm not sure if I understand correctly, but do you want to convey to us here in the forum that any community here on the forum platform can have their crypto exchange in this industry?

Because most people know that when you build your exchange, you must have a large capital for it, and you must also have a team, and so on, then from what you are saying, it seems like it is easy to have your exchange.
What we mean is that most solutions are paid: someone who wants to build an exchange has to either buy a white label or order custom development. All of this costs a lot of money. But our crypto exchange engine is free.
Of course, then the owner/company will manage the exchange with the help of their team, which involves costs. But this doesn’t apply to the initial cost of developing the exchange as an online platform.

What's the catch?

You surely wouldn't spend your time and resources creating such a good platform only for you to provide it for people to use for free. Would you?
There's something we probably don't know about.

How are you going to get funds to keep the project running? Donations from well-wishers?
We believe that by developing as an open-source product we can achieve much more. We want to make OpenCEX an industry standard, just like Wordpress has become for building websites. There are many examples of large-cap opens-source companies, and this is our way.
We want to give the crypto community an easy and simple solution, and then make money on complex implementations for institutional players (banks, brokerage firms, etc.).
