21  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: To chop no be small wahala for the country on: September 18, 2023, 09:19:36 PM
Nigeria has gone from worst to too bad, sometimes I see a good reason to say that our leaders has no conscience, how will you allow the people that you are leading to die in hunger, our leader doesn't like the idea of licensing more production companies or better still encouraging small firms that are into production, because most of them have share or quota in a particular man business that have decided to keep his people in the dark by inflating the price of everything through the help of the government, Nigeria has everything within her reach not to allow it's citizen suffer, removal of subsidy has been the major cause for the suffering of Nigerians, a government that wake up and announce the removal of the only thing the citizens benefit from, without putting things in place to caution the effects that may arise as a result of this, I think its time for the right thing to be done, because the current hunger in the land is so unbearable that, it takes God to control people not to do otherwise, Nigeria needs urgent revitalization, and that's the way we should go.
Yes this is true the major problem here is bad and over corrupt leaders. Imagine tinibu saying its his turn ,meaning say them wan dey suffer the citizens turn by turn as we dey elect new presidents suffer dey increase even comon water pure water the most common of them all Don cost now u no fit buy water for you and your friends without thinking the thing. Now fuel wey the crude just dey under our land here don dey so expensive.  Tinibu just come comot subsidy wey we dey benefit from . This country na wa oh

Omo my fellow Niger men and women how una dey see this thing wey dey happen for our country cost of food dey increase on a monthly basis to chop common breakfast fit cost you like 700 - 1000 for management oh. And we dey farm dey produce rice and garri, even most raw materials wey them dey use make process food we get am , how come everything cost like this . Watin we go say be the cause of this one now . E Don vex me all person money now dey go for food . Abeg make una contribute for this matter I know say e dey vex all of us
All these high price of everything for Nigeria na because of fuel subsidy wey Tinubu remove. Ever since Tinubu took over power the rate of hardship is increasing day by day to the extend that a poor man might finf it difficult to feed. I notice that the price you buy something today will increase the next week when you want to buy that same stuff.

Feeding is a basic need but the government don't understand this and they want the masses to die in hunger strive. No be small money I dey use feed myself alone for this place wey I dey. If I want to cook I will spend up to 3k but when I visit mama put, 1K no dy reach me chop because the food go small and some places only meat or fish will consune upto 500 naira talk more of the food itself. Poverty is really a major challenge in this country because the government have chosen to kill the poor people with harsh economy. All our gals are now on the street because of what they want to eat and some have been killed by ritualist, only God knows when Nigeria will become a better place for people to live happily due to good economy.

The most painful part of it is that the unemployment rate is also high . To see work do so u fit buy that expensive food no easy ,as I dey you like this my guy wey finish school still dey streat na now en wan learn affiliate marketing from me. My advice to every Nigerian is to start earning in dollars if not this hardship go finish you

23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrency beats having faits at every point on: September 17, 2023, 02:10:21 PM
"I don't really get why you'd store your money in cryptocurrencies," a friend asked me just a day ago, expressing skepticism about Bitcoin.

Well, who wouldn't appreciate a digital asset that grows on its own, free from the worries of taxation or government regulations on how much you can have?

I personally enjoy the fact that I'm in charge of storing and managing my crypto assets without anyone doing it for me.

Ever since I learned about the dollar-cost averaging (DCA) strategy on this forum  I've been committed to acquiring at least 1 BTC. It doesn't feel impossible anymore.

Even though BTC is banned in my region, I've found a community of crypto enthusiasts on this forum, sharing and gathering information. I strongly believe that crypto will someday be accepted worldwide.

As for my favorite reason for choosing Bitcoin over fiat currency, it's the sense of control and potential for growth that it offers. Plus, I'm in good company here, so feel free to share your thoughts too! 😊

If your interested in DCA I think you should follow up on this thread

Your permission is nice ,good educational quality .
' But amidst the excitement and joy, caution is wise,
For scams and hacks lurk  cleverly in disguise.
Secure your wallets, and guard your keys ,
Or risk losing it all ? for that shall be  a crypto nightmare! '

Very funny but true a crypto nightmare indeed  Grin

You should the link from where you got this information I could also be a random blog but I've heard rumors of such going on but not from a hospital directly. I'll advise everyone to be cautious of the hospital there are going too , I know the government hospitals sometimes charge higher but j bet its safer. If the rumor or fact be true then I think its private hospitals that we should fear about

27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: September 17, 2023, 06:36:21 AM
Before investing, it's always a wise move to conduct your research, as you're taking a risk with your hard-earned money. Spotting low-quality or "shitcoins" right from the start can be challenging, so it's a good idea to stick with well-known options like ETH, BNB, and others. Avoiding unwise investments is definitely the cooler choice! 😎
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if USDT falls down? on: September 17, 2023, 06:32:29 AM
I've never recommended or found a reason for anyone to hold stablecoins for an extended period. Personally, I prefer selling or converting them into other assets rather than holding onto them. However, if a widely used stablecoin like USDT were to collapse, it could indeed have a significant impact on the crypto market and create fear among investors. Fortunately, there are alternative stablecoins available, so it might not be a catastrophic event.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that you trust most on: September 17, 2023, 06:27:55 AM
I think for the next bull run we should be looking at those cool money filling profits so I'll give my best 5
1. First I'll say BNB ,it's daily usage it increasingly high and I think it has a good potential to get high
2. ETH is also a very good idea for the hold
3. BCH
4. MATIC
5.ARBITRUM

I don't have any vivid reason for the last two but I think bch would be good for the hold
30  Other / Meta / Re: Is the first Merit the hardest Merit to get? on: September 17, 2023, 06:22:38 AM
Getting your first merit might seem easy sometimes, but for beginners, it's actually the toughest. When you're new, you're not sure what works. When I got my first merit, it was a big surprise. Now, I've learned to take my time before posting. Some people have good ideas but don't have the patience to express them well. A good tip is to read posts that got merits to learn what works on the forum. And I think everyone has a nich that goes well for them . They are lot of sections with different topic on this forum, just find a topic you know stuff about and share your insight it makes it easier
31  Economy / Economics / Re: I tired of Banks my experince with nyc high value Property on: September 17, 2023, 06:07:23 AM
Recently, many threads on this forum have criticized banks, and it seems like no one is coming to their defense. Banks have indeed made significant contributions to the overall development of the world, generating substantial revenues for governments. They have also supported many successful entrepreneurs through loans, which has played a crucial role in economic growth.

When it comes to cryptocurrencies, it's essential to consider what they contribute to governments. Some individuals may still be benefiting from traditional banks, while others have found advantages in cryptocurrencies. I don't view them as rivals or competitors; they represent two distinct options for managing money and assets, one digital and the other physical. Even if cryptocurrencies become dominant, fiat currencies will likely continue to exist, as not all countries may adopt cryptocurrencies as their primary currency.

33  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: September 17, 2023, 05:44:29 AM
Isn't it stressful when we spend more than expected, right? especially if we follow a budget, having a smart spending habit is a good way to avoid such situations or events.

1. Make a realistic budget
In budgeting it is important that we consider everything. It should be realistic and achievable, It cannot be said that the budget is only 20$ for a week for food if you are 8 people who will eat at home. Plan what to eat every day and budget for it. Write down all the ingredients or how much to buy and how much it will cost in pmashae or gasoline if there is a car. Do everything with consideration and do it consistently.
Stop yourself from buying things you don't need, like buying coffee at starbucks when you can just buy 3 in 1 sachet coffee that just tastes like coffee. Because if we cannot prevent such expenses, include them in the budget.

2. Find out what triggers the cost
It's important that we know this if it's stress, boredom, pressure from friends, need to follow the trend and so on. It is important that we have discipline in these things if you want to avoid overspending. For example, if you're bored, you hang out online shopping at Lazada, Amazon, and others, this habit should be replaced with something more productive, such as cleaning the house and others where you can avoid it and do something good.

3. Break down luxury expenses
Try to list the things you have spent and separate the luxury and the things you have spent. It is important that you know what is really needed and the word I deserve it.

4. Make the 24 hour rule
This rule helped me when I was building in this way. Because when I want to buy something, I put it off for 24 hours, and during this time I learn how to assess these things. Usually the excitement we experience disappears immediately after a few hours. You imagine the sacrifices you will make when you accomplish them. Like the small savings you have or sometimes we will even borrow the money we will use here. At least in this way we can avoid impulsive buying or bursts of emotion.

5. Set a budget
Allocate a limit on expenses, know all areas of expenses from food, rent, electricity, water, shopping and other things related to spending. Once you set all of your spending limits, make sure to follow them and do it because everything will be ignored if you don't do it.

I hope this somehow helped us and the community here on the forum.

That sounds great; I'll give it a shot. Moreover, I believe it all comes down to discipline. Self-discipline is the key to personal growth because improving your financial management skills doesn't happen overnight. Mastering discipline can be challenging, as it often involves reigning in your impulses. However, with consistent practice, mastery is undoubtedly achievable.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank vs Crypto: Are they opposites? on: September 17, 2023, 05:34:13 AM
You might find it surprising that banks aren't necessarily opposed to cryptocurrencies. Regardless of how advanced and advantageous cryptocurrency may be, it remains intertwined with traditional banks and fiat currencies. One can't truly make purchases without the support of banks, as cryptocurrency relies on fiat currencies for exchange.

Interestingly, banks might indirectly support cryptocurrencies because some of their owners could have obtained loans for their businesses. Even as cryptocurrency becomes more widely used, banks are likely to persist in their roles within the financial landscape.

37  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Can a unified language solve Nigeria's problem of tribalism? on: September 17, 2023, 12:25:14 AM
We're there are too many languages there is bound to be confusion in the mist, too many cultures would lead to tribalism and this can cause disability yes but we already have a means to communicate with each other and even leave among ourselves in different communities under common law and language. The problem with Nigeria isn't tribalism many persons of different culture are in other developed countries like the US , citizens of many countries recide and work there without any Confict they even had a black president even with their racism.  Our country is just hooked on corruption for reasons more than our eyes can meet, the antiode is to totally change the people in the system
38  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine on: September 17, 2023, 12:05:33 AM
Solution:  Americans should be driving tanks towards the Russia/Ukraine border right now.  Nato needs to deploy 100K soldiers into Eastern Ukraine at once.  Make Ukraine a NATO member.

Bad idea ! Putin de strange could take this as an art of war and decide to go full scale bombing on the Americans and all her allies and the war escalates to a nato vs un war and we have a War of the dammed Huh  Grin
39  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics really necessary? on: September 16, 2023, 11:49:41 PM
I'm not sure why you're asking, but in the absence of politicians, who would govern the political systems, and what would most countries look like? While we acknowledge that political systems can be rigged and corrupt, they are also a better alternative to dictatorship. The root issue often lies in human selfishness.
40  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The conspiracy of Chicago State University and Tinubu on: September 16, 2023, 11:41:26 PM
I prefer not to take sides, but there are concerns about Tinubu's questionable history, marked by unverified claims and lack of evidence. It appears to be a potential scam, although the university asserts his credibility based on their word alone. In the realm of politics, corruption is unfortunately a recurring issue.
