Look at bitcoin day destroyed too ... when it grow a lot, it'll dump Wink

ok, let´s check bitcoin days destroyed:

https://blockchain.info/de/charts/bitcoin-days-destroyed?timespan=2year&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=

looks like they are heading towards all-time-low   Wink

for now ... and if I'm right it take time to chart to be updated. But this is a good dump indicator...
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: December 14, 2015, 01:06:55 PM
the price has gone from $250 to $450 (up 80%) in just 2 months with no real positive news eg no increased adoption etc.
Does anyone else besides me call that a pump? And after a pump comes dumpy, dumpy, doo.
Let the buyer beware.

At least short-to-mid term, price is not mainly a function of fundamentals, including adoption. That said, increased adoption has taken place, and it is likely to be at least one factor in the current trend.

Note also that, just as before, it takes a while before it shows an effect on price. It's a pattern playing out for third or fourth time now:

1. Adoption is "ahead" of price, market begins to rally.
2. Price gets ahead of adoption during major rally (possibly goes to new ATH), falls back sharply. Bear market commences.
3. Adoption continues, price continues to fall. This goes on until the set-up is again as in step 1.

As for evidence of increased adoption, see for example:

Sure, no. of tx is not the final word, as it's a metric that can be manipulated. But there's a similar picture for hashrate, no. of wallets, etc., so I take it that the most likely interpretation is that adoption isn't exactly skyrocketing (like some bulls were/are hoping), but that it's growing in a pretty respectable way, that could be taken to be somewhere between 'steep linear' and 'comparably shallow exponential'.

What a sad fucking joke. Still posting all you can to convince people this project still has anything going for it. We all know the big timers from the DNMs on Tor are not switching over to Shadow anytime. There also is really no use for Shadow anymore. Dash has a nice mixing system that works. SDC has zero use and will never take off. This coin is a designed trap for ALT coin investors by a pump and dump group. They all post here hoping to drive the price up double then cash out and its an endless cycle of screen shots etc. They do no real innovation here and its all copy paste code. You can scroll through all 400 pages and see nothing but them trying to keep this failure alive and post all their arguments about why SDC is the future its pretty funny. You guys are a bunch of joke losers who deserve to go broke after all of this. This project is scamming good people out of money. This post will be deleted.

So why are you still posting here, nothing better to do in your life ... seems so sa sad for you, I hope your suicide will going well at least

Update: Monday, 20th May 2015

Happy 1 Year Anniversary To Shadow

1 year ago, Shadow emerged as an innovative and unique open source project with a mission to create the first truly anonymous currency and set up a economy where privacy is always a priority. In traditional financial terms, many cryptocurrencies represented trackable and linkable check or card options while we wanted to create a digital currency that worked more like cash. Trust has always been a sought-after commodity on the web and so, we started our mission to build a completly anonymous and decentralized economy. Inspired by the Cypherpunks’ call for an anonymous currency, we decided to bring together several Bitcoin related technologies and services and in the process improve their overall security with advancements in zero knowledge cryptographic primitives.

A Big Thank You To All Supporters!

Thanks to your support Shadow has evolved from a simple idea into one of the most advanced crypto projects to date. The last 12 months of development have resulted in the creation of an entire privacy based currency and platform with superior privacy guarantees that do not require trust in operators, centralized technology or the drawbacks associated with it. Our first year has been an exciting journey, with a bigger and better development team and supportive community, there is no telling what Shadow will achieve by its second birthday. Please share our 1 year anniversary message to take part in the celebration!

ShadowCore V1.3 Public Testing Started!

We have started public testing BIP 32 framework and keys (HD Wallet) on which we will be building many interesting features in the future. For now, we implemented a hierarchical deterministic wallet; that allows you to recover all the keys in a wallet using only the master key. Since we are already testing, we have also decided to publicly test a new ring signature scheme (42% improvement on the previous scheme) based on the efficiency improvement work of Adam Back and Andy Toshi. This was a fairly extensive update from our core developers. You can view the full details of the 122 changed files with 13,789 additions and 6,391. There’s a summary of the changes in the release notes here.

If you want to get involved and help us test this new release you can refer to our testing thread on Shadowtalk. We look forward to hearing about your experiences and kindly request you send us your feedback or questions on IRC or SLACK (#shadowtesting channel).

That covers our development updates for now. If you have any questions regarding recent or upcoming changes you can contact us via IRC, SLACK or Github. You can stay up to date with our progress by registering to ShadowTalk, subscribing to the Shadow blog or following us on twitter.

The Shadow Team
Rynomster (lead developer)

Thanks for the update team! I'm looking forward to testing the new ring signature scheme which according to Adam Back, "This alternate linkable ring signature tends to 1/2 the size of the crypto note ring signature as the signature is 3+n values vs 2+2n values". ICYDK, Adam is the creator of the Hashcash currency that inspired Bitcoin (Bitcoin without inflation curve).

What an awesome 1st year for Shadow - steady organic growth with non-stop incremental advancements to the codebase. Without a doubt we have the most competent team working on any currency project.

One small step for SDC, one giant leap for crypto.

for sure this is a step, thanks to the whole team for their efforts! Since I join the community I only saw steady improvement in the code like better than any team need to do to keep moving on.

The new wallet seems work perfectly on testnet, what else are you deserve to us? ... a market!

Don't quote the troll,  he obviously doesn't understand i2p or how it can work with Sling.

it's not a problem of i2p, it's you think all data stored in the blockchain will be encrypted forever!
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SLING | Fully Working DECENTRALIZED MARKET in Wallet | SLINGROAD LIVE on: July 06, 2015, 12:45:55 AM
Did you read? No one want a market stored in the blockchain! You pretending to be annon and you want to store those data on a blockchain ... OMG you're a f***** genius!
Huh?  If you were correct, then nobody would use cryptocurrency.  When you send coins, you are storing a transaction on a public blockchain.
Seriously? OMG! I re-write the sentence and please read it carefully because you totally miss the point : No one want a market stored in the blockchain! You pretending to be annon and you want to store those data on a blockchain ...
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SLING | Fully Working DECENTRALIZED MARKET in Wallet | SLINGROAD LIVE on: July 05, 2015, 09:07:15 PM
Like NXT marketplace? ... mmm tell me why NXT marketplace isn't used? Because it's store data in the blockchain!!!! lmao this coin is a genious trick of hype ridding

Like Sling, the NXT marketplace is lacking critical functionality that makes it usable (rating system, pictures, searching, stable currency, great UI).  Once all the needed functionality has been added, I think people will start using these decentralized markets.

I know small vendors that pay eBay/PayPal/Amazon over $2,000 per month Angry.  The market takes most of the margin from the folks doing all the hard work!

No,  Slings market is a blockchain, not a messaging system.
