21  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: This idea go reduce our daily expenses. on: April 06, 2024, 10:30:59 AM
If you think about economizing the utilization of the mobile machines used, what of putting into consideration their maintenance demands as well, i think that the best solution is to cut short every unnecessary means to which we move out and engaged doing other things that doesn't matters at all, this will help us to think deep before taking a step and how to plan adequately for us to be able to save time and money that would have been wasted or used in going after unnecessary things we can actually do without, some will through this learn alot of lessons.

When we eliminate all needless acts from our life, we have more time and energy to devote to what is truly important. And by being more deliberate with our time and resources. So, one way to save time and energy is to eliminate distractions that compete for your attention. These distractions might range from loud alerts to your phone to pointless meetings that take up your entire workday. By eliminating these distractions, you will be able to focus on what is truly important. And when you're focused, you're more likely to be successful and get things done. You may also opt to cut out activities that take up your time so that you may spend a longer period with those you care about.
22  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The awareness of Bitcoin is spreading from the internet to the society. on: April 06, 2024, 10:19:50 AM

24  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What influences your decisions on: April 06, 2024, 09:50:46 AM
Crypto generally is a game of high risk to reward ratio. As a crypto trader and enthusiast what do u base your decisions on.
When you decide on  those investment plan and draft what are the things you consider most.

Trading and investment can be a full time job if well managed and properly planned. And this can also be a big life changer if well managed. So for education sake I will like to know how people make their own decision so we all can grow in this volatile market together

Of course. Additionally to what you've mentioned, I consider a few more factors while making cryptocurrency investing selections.
- Diversification: I prefer to expand my investment choices so that I do not put all of my eggs in one basket. I invest in a range of cryptocurrency assets, so even if one performs insufficiently, I am not fully exposed.
- Timing: I strive to time my investments so that I don't purchase high and sell low. I also utilize tools like the crypto calendar to be informed about major events that may affect pricing, as I don't want to make emotional, hasty decisions that might result in losses.
25  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: As our economy dey so, Bitcoin na blessing to us? on: April 06, 2024, 09:43:50 AM

26  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Risks to take in marriage on: April 06, 2024, 09:31:04 AM
To be honest, you are correct, but we should also consider how divorce may affect the children's future relationships. Children from divorced households may struggle to build good connections and trust others. They may also find it challenging to trust their own love relationships. This may have a significant influence on their future happiness. So, while divorce may be the most effective choice for certain couples, it is not something to take lightly because it is a major decision that can have a lasting impact for the entire family. Additionally, when there is an absence of respect, it can lead to disagreement and anger, so we need to treat our spouses with dignity and affection.
27  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Power Or Money ? on: April 06, 2024, 09:13:46 AM
In my perspective, it all depends on the individual, because money may be spent carelessly. It may be used to support unlawful operations, influence political institutions, and perpetuate inequalities. It's also crucial to realize that money isn't the sole way to evaluate success or pleasure. There are more vital things to consider, such as health, family, and friendship. So, while money is a powerful tool, it is not the primary objective in life; it can also be used to make investments in fresh perspectives, establish opportunities that benefit others, and so on, whereas power over others is frequently used for manipulating and controlling others for one's own benefit rather than to effect positive change in the world. Rather than selecting one or the other, I believe the better issue to ask ourselves is how we can utilize power and money properly, because they are the most effective tools for influencing social change.
28  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do we raise our kids in this kinda society on: April 06, 2024, 08:57:24 AM
Society nowadays doesn't seem like anything we grew up in, it's so complex and diverse that I can't help but wonder if this is where my kids are going to grow up and how do I manage.
While growing up fraudulent activities, prostitution, and others were seen as heinous crimes whereas today it is seen as a norm. How do I send my children out to society even with a thorough upbringing and not be afraid not knowing what society will through at them? It frightens me. Can't help but wonder.

Keep in mind that no matter how society develops, certain things will remain crucial. For example, it will always be necessary to teach our children to be nice to others, to appreciate differences, and to act in an honest and ethical manner. Even if technology advances or our lifestyles change, these essential principles will remain crucial. The idea is to help our children understand how these principles may be used in the constantly evolving environment around them, because if we can educate them to be adaptive and strong in the face of change, they will be far better prepared to meet whatever challenges life throws at them. We may do this by introducing them to new things to do.
29  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Freedom from wars and slavery on: April 06, 2024, 08:41:12 AM
In 1850s, 1870s Africans were in a deep slavery and wars with western world, people were captured and took to foreign lands, people were enslaved and kill, people were deprived rights and culture, people were denied self government. Wars between black man and whites was brutal contents and controls, uniform forces were mainly shuffled by whites in authorities to control the blacks.

Now over years, Africans have gain freedom from wars, fears and slavery but Africans has not be free from and within themselves. Hatred, killing, indirect slavery, wars and rivalries still exist within us, no good government, no incredible elections, no honest leadership, no sincere development, questionable and unhealthy education.

Are we true free Africans? Whites do you think you're still the cause of our slavery mentality? Let's argue this deep guys

It is clear that much more work has to be done in Africa to achieve real freedom and equality, including combating internal conflicts and establishing fair and legitimate governments. So it's critical to acknowledge the progress that has been accomplished after the end of legal slavery and colonization, since Africa has experienced a lot of positive development, such as more political freedom and expanding economies. While much work remains to be done, I believe it is crucial to recognize and build on these accomplishments.

However, we must understand the importance of human activity, since individual decisions and acts may make a difference in society.
30  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Political problems in nigeria... on: April 06, 2024, 08:05:09 AM
I believe that one of the most difficult hurdles in resolving these issues is a loss of faith in the government and institutions. When individuals do not believe the system is fair or that their concerns will be heard, it can be difficult to achieve significant progress. It is equally critical to emphasize on the good elements of change. Even if it is impossible to create a significant shift, even modest changes may have an impact. It is also important to enjoy minor victories and continue working toward larger goals, although individuals might become discouraged if they do not see instant results, but bear in mind that change takes time.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the common man. on: April 05, 2024, 04:50:54 PM
But with all the challenges faced by the average man, many have given up hope in this light(Bitcoin) .
Patience is one key factor to acquiring success through Bitcoin .

If only the common man would have to be patient, then a guarantee of life long success can be attainable.

I think the problem with people who choose to go into bitcoin investment is that they lack the knowledge about Bitcoin and they end up diving in with the misconception that bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme. They believe once they go into bitcoin, they'll suddenly become rich after investing some amount of cash. You can invest thousands of millions of dollars in bitcoin but still fail and lose all or almost everything if you don't have the required knowledge and if you don't know the right approach and technique to use while investing in Bitcoin.

There are lots of approaches to employ when thinking about Bitcoin investment, so it's left for you to conduct and extensive research and come up with the approach best suitable and productive for you rather than just diving into Bitcoin without full preparation. This is often what causes people to lose money in Bitcoin investment.
You've said it all. This is why it's advised for people to first acquire basic knowledge of Bitcoin before even making any move. Manny people go into bitcoin simply because they hear from people that bitcoin give a lot of profits. Yes it's true that bitcoin can give a lot of profits, but only when you use the right approach.
DCA is a very effective approach, especially for bitcoin newbies, that way you won't feel the impact of investing because you'll only be investing a set amount of money, weekly, monthly or even daily, depending on your income.
32  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Is this the beginning of crude oil by-products price dropping? on: April 05, 2024, 11:01:31 AM
This na better development, assuming the government still put head for ground conduct mentainance and repair for other ones too, e for good, or make them just plant new one. That time we go come know say them really mean business to save the economy from falling apart. Nigerian government fit actually dey dey their normal things while them dey work join, that one go make them look like better people, but yet them go wan make this money to the fullest of their potential by all means, na why the country no dey move.

I believe say competition na one of things wey fit help the price of things reduce, so as dangote don start to sell at a cheaper rate, e go prompt every other person to still reduce their price.

In economics, one of the theories wey dem call 'the perfect competition theory' dey explain how competition go fit help to increase efficiency and improve the well being of people. This theory say competition go help to improve efficiency and productivity, reduce prices and make sure say the quality of goods and services dey improve. But for dis theory to dey effective, e dey need to get some kind conditions wey go make sure say the market dey really competitive. This conditions include:
- plenty producers wey dey produce similar goods and services.
- buyers wey get perfect knowledge about the goods and services for the market. So the government need to dey try to create policies wey go encourage competition among producers and providers of goods and services.
33  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The internet and crypto on: April 05, 2024, 10:54:01 AM
One thing ah done understand about dis life be say u no go fit force people to do weting dey never get conviction on. Ah go fit hit my chest say na only some adults wey still they ignorant of the internet and cryptocurrency. Dem still get this fear say anything wey dey online na scam. Yet dey still they use Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, and other social media every day. No be mumu be that, na for the WhatsApp, wey dey no go fit use scam them?

Normally dem done see am say all those people wey dey sell for market, some of them done loose customer since people no get time to they go some kind places go buy things. Instead, they prefer to order am online. If they still continue to they ignorant, the world go advance leave them behind.

I like as u take understand how the technology dey affect the life for people wey dey around us because no be everybody understand and dey appreciate this kind things with same speed but one of the most important things wey you need to understand be say no be everything wey technology dey bring dey good. E still get plenty  bad things wey technology dey bring. For example, as plenty people dey use social media apps like Facebook, dem dey use am to spread false news and promote violence. This na one of the biggest challenges wey technology don bring to society.
We need to understand say the way wey people dey react to new technology na to follow the way wey our culture and values dey form us. If we want make people dey use technology well well, we need to make sure say we dey consider the way wey we dey bring out dis technology. Na only if we fit make the technology reflect our values wey dey important to us as people and society.

Some kain things wey technology don bring na faster communication, e dey give us better access to knowledge and information. But technology also dey allow people to use am to spread fake news so they need to take time, study the risks and benefits involved in technology.
34  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: It's over 4 months and you no wan leave? on: April 05, 2024, 10:45:04 AM
Hey guys, abeg make una come help me out of this matter, because you guys are my surest paddies here and I can only share this with you because of its sensitivity to me. My only Aunty (paternal Aunty) and her daughter visited us since last year after a wedding of one of my cousins which happened during the ember periods, today makes it 4 months since November last year that they came in and they haven't leave up till now. With the current economic reality that is biting everyone of us, I don tire to they accommodate them already.

And that has made me pretty much uncomfortable because even my fiancé wey cover up for my expenses sometimes has not been comfortable with this lately too upon say na she happy pass when been first come, abeg how do I politely ask her and her daughter to vacate the house without offending her?

But you get to do something o, because you no go dey feel shy dey chop shit for mouth. So you need to carry yourself for mind first and approach her with respect and also with tact.
You go tell her say na because of the economic condition of things now, na why you wan tell her say she need to find a new place to stay. But make sure you still dey make her know say you dey appreciate her for visiting. Try to use your sweet mouth o, so that she no go think say you dey insult her. You go tell her say, "Aunty, no be say I no like you and your daughter or say I no wan see una again. But the truth be say as the cost of things don increase, my pocket no fit take this stress again. Na why I need to ask you politely to dey look for somewhere else to go and stay
You go also tell her say if she need any help, say u go still try to dey help am and say you go dey there for her. And no forget to say "Thank you" well well o, if not the matter no go be here o.
35  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Democracy in Nigeria on: April 05, 2024, 10:21:42 AM
Democracy is meant to be a form of governance in which the people have a vote in how they are governed, but it appears that this is not occurring in our nation because the legal system is now being used to punish opposition politicians while protecting those in power. Establishing a system in which judges and other officials are really independent of the government would be a significant step toward a society with greater freedoms.
Another task is to create a more open government. There are several examples of government officials engaging in corruption, and it can be difficult for the common individual to determine what is really going on.
36  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The moral side of the grain deal on: April 05, 2024, 10:09:45 AM
All wars must have a minimum level of morality that allows the warring parties to import or export foodstuffs or medical supplies necessary for the continuation of life at a minimum.

Preventing Ukraine from exporting grain not only causes suffering to the Ukrainian people, but also causes a crisis in many countries that need these grains.

Not only grain, there are many other necessary materials. Here in my country, for example, we suffer a lot from the high prices of some materials such as oil, iron, and others that were imported from Ukraine.

You make a valid argument concerning the human cost of war. Beyond the immediate loss of life, war may have a catastrophic effect on a country's economy and infrastructure, resulting in long-term issues such as poverty and instability. And, as you indicated, the consequences of conflict can extend well beyond the borders of the countries involved. The blockade of Ukrainian ports has not only resulted in food and other supply shortages in Ukraine, but it has also pushed worldwide prices up, putting millions of people at danger of food poverty. So, if these demands are not addressed, it might result in a prolonged period of instability, with far-reaching ramifications for this entire area as well as the rest of the world.
37  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Transformation of capitalism into socialism in the West on: April 05, 2024, 09:53:27 AM
But socialism is not by definion the end of the private sector, which controls the means of production, in favor of the collective ownership of those means of production? Because if we stick with those definitions we could argue neither USA,  Sweden, China or Russia are socialist countries, because you can still find private companies and entire sectors in those countries which are commanded by people who own factories, offices and hire personnel.

I would no call anything we are seeing as socialism, but rather some economical reforms implemented onto the taxpayers, so the state can further take care of the people who is not doing so well for whatever reason: lack of education, limited access to medical services, etc...
Whether we think it is a good thing or not, that is a different debate, due to a percentage of population thinking governments are not supposed to support people that much.

One of the most fascinating aspects of this argument is that it raises fundamental concerns about the duty of government in society. Some individuals feel that the government should play a little role, while others consider that the government should be considerably more involved in citizens' lives. I believe that these differences in perspective can make it difficult to reach an agreement on particular policies, such as support from the government, but it is not always easy. A means to do this is by concentrating on the particular results we are trying to accomplish, rather than the particular initiatives we are arguing about, so that once we agree on the results that we desire, we can discuss the most effective ways to achieve those goals.
38  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's really scary about artificial intelligence? on: April 05, 2024, 09:34:20 AM
In a funny competition that was held last Wednesday at a Parisian institutin, artificial intelligence (ChatGPT) took a philosophy exam for baccalaureate students against one of the most prominent philosophers, Mr Rafael Enthoven, a lecturer at the University of Paris. The question in the exam was about producing an article on whether joy is a rational issue. The philosopher took the entire exam time (4 hours) to get a score of 20/20, while the program formulated his thesis to get a score of 11/20 with an acceptable note within few seconds, after two distinguished researchers carried out the evaluation process. This test led to several conclusions, the most important of which is that artificial intelligence is unable to match human intelligence, since philosophy is one of the finest productions of human brain as its proficiency is not just a narration of long sentences as it requires critical thinking of a special kind. This experience was very reassuring to different audiences and evidence of the shortcomings of artificial intelligence in several areas.

These reassurances should not eliminate all concerns about the uses of artificial intelligence, and what increases our fears is the confidentiality of research in this field, because although we can control the capabilities of private companies such as Microsoft or Google, we do not know what the US administration, for example, or China is working on.

Fears of technological intelligence had emerged since the seventies of the last century with the development of computing machines, but no one really cared. Today, artificial intelligence poses two main problems, the first is the potential destruction of many jobs, and the second is the development of autonomous weapon systems with little human intervention that can violate the laws of war, called "killer robots".

What do you think?

I know some individuals are concerned that releasing up their AI research would put them at an advantage in the marketplace. But I believe that the advantages of openness will exceed the hazards. After all, if consumers don't trust AI technology, they are less likely to utilize it, which is terrible for the corporations that create it. And even if there are some risks to being open with one another I think they're surpassed by the risks of creating AI in secret because it's going to make it difficult for the general public to know what's really going on. But if we want to guarantee that AI is developed in a way that's both secure and legal, we need to have a greater degree of openness about how it's being created as well as how it's being used
39  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel committing Genocide on: April 05, 2024, 09:04:38 AM
Bringing God for the mistakes of people isn't justifiable and they always hide under some religious ideology for doing it but it isn't acceptable at any cost to kill innocent civilians who didn't do anything wrong but they just born in that country where these kind of conflicts ongoing for almost a century. The leaders who operates this are staying safe and the one who is fighting in the name of armies also brainwashed to do such things, who can stop this, I really don't know?

Yes, technology has the ability to play a significant role in settling these problems. For example, technology may be utilized to increase communication across diverse groups and assist individuals comprehend one other's points of view. Technology may also be used to monitor and report on human rights violations, as well as to hold perpetrators accountable. And as technology advances, it is feasible that new tools and solutions may emerge that we cannot now conceive. As a result, this might assist to break down some of the hurdles that have previously stifled development, as well as reduce the attraction of extreme beliefs.
40  Other / Politics & Society / Re: the point of having high IQ? on: April 05, 2024, 08:53:47 AM
This connotes that having those or an IQ's enables you to handle the affairs of life more better than an ordinary person or a layman. Having IQ also position you to qualifies into working in a good company than others who are not knowledgeable enough to handle that position of work. So IQ helps during school and after school, you are being smarter and creatives than others who aren't making any efforts in times of life as well as general innovation just as Bitcoin was introduced and established to us by Satoshi Nakamoto.

Certain individuals are inherently more creative and capable of thinking outside the box, but this does not exclude others from learning to be more creative and inventive. In truth, everyone can improve their creativity by cultivating meditation, exposing themselves to new ideas and viewpoints, and finding ways to step outside of their comfort zone. It's also crucial to note that creativity doesn't necessarily have to mean coming up with wholly new ideas; it may simply mean finding new applications for existing ideas and technology. So, even if you don't get a flash of insight, you may still be inventive by working hard and trying out various ideas.
